This guy is only a few that tell you this. Thank you so much for the info. This was not in my instructions (only for a 4-wire plug). Just finished it today because of your video. Thank You!
NO NEED TO REMOVE ANY HOSES, ive done it several times and always am able to wiggle it around these hoses to get it out, and back in just fine, id save the headache of taking anything else apart and having to drain and refill fluids
So, I ended up kinda going the long way around & went in from the sides after first dropping the lower - seeing's how I planned on replacing a real sketchy looking IAC anyway. Pulled the throttle body, power steering pump/peripherals, IAC & pcv box & it made the lower drop out of the way pretty nice. Substantially more disassembly, but it was gravy stuff & *REALLY* reduced the p.i.t.a factor with fewer special tools. Your video is a *MUST WATCH* lifesaver for anyone planning this job.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hoping you can help me...looking at a 1998 ram 1500 with a 5.2 that sat for 4 years. Ive got a crank but no start condition. Verified no spark coming out of coil. I ran out of time that evening, so disconnected the battery and let it sit overnight. Came back the next day hooked up the battery and turned the key. it started right up. Then, i had a low gas indication, so figured id get 5 gallons of good gas in it to run it for a bit. Shut engine off, added gas, and now Im back to same problem....crank but no start. Verified no spark out of coil again. I discovered the ASD relay and swapped it, but no change. It ran really good the night before, so Im pretty sure im dealing with the ASD relay not clicking over which is keeping the spark off. When I turn the key I can hear the fuel pump kick on, so I know that is working properly. Just no spark out of coil. Next time I go back, im going to start with those two 5 volt wires you were looking at (assuming this vehicle has the same pin outs. Any other suggestions appreciated.
Ok you had an edit that left out the broken vacuum pump being discovered. So, brake booster, then vacuum pump, and tap the Hickey back in place. What keeps it in place. My son’s Spark is showing the same symptoms, along with leaking g what appears to be tranny fluid or brake fluid (my nose hasn’t worked in years) brake fluid in the vacuum?
So thankful for this guy! Definitely saved me from getting so mad at this car lol.. so i done everything and the car runs but now a day later the check engine light is back on showing the same code , also the gas gage is still acting up cause the code. Idk what else to do

good wrk. but not clear on what you did with the green wires. How were they re connected? And could you say where you got the gaskets. Did you have to buy the valve cover, to get the gaskets? Or, did you just buy the gaskets alone? Thnx. still.
Questions from a guy in the middle of nowhere Wyoming. I really am getting a lot out of your videos, but I need a list of tools. Make and model of that scan tool? How about that handy lime green voltage tester? 2002 Dodge Durango no start. Cranks, fuel at the fuel rail. No spark at plugs. Also, hot here. Those little pins you use.
Wish you were near me in Texas...I have a 2001 Dakota that had overheated, a hose busted and the engine over heated as a result while driving down the road. I tested what I knew and found the heads were warped due to over heating, so I removed the heads and had them resurfaced and put a new timing set in and still have a NO START, I get a check engine light but it says the ASD relay isn't getting proper voltage. I get no click either. it turns over and I smell gas just no start. I'm lost when it comes to electrical that's the only thing I haven't learned over the years. I can tare an engine apart and rebuild it but I lack when it comes to wiring diagnostics. I'm here trying to learn, but I haven't seen any issues similar to mine yet.
I facing the same problem bit it has new alt and battery I don't know if they did a short cut and wires looks good and those 2 wires the purple white and orange in at 0.06 in both I already fixed some wires the only thing i have to do is the pcm
Yea. Looked everywhere for a step by step video without finding one. Now that I’ve taken my radiator out and installed I found this video. Very good one by the way. Mine was a 2007 but very similar. Shroud was the most aggravating part.
Nice job, thanks for sharing! There is a Tsb on this vehicle that the bolt from the starter solenoid to the actual motor becomes loose, causing an intermittent no crank.
Hayes i started my mobile mechanic business full time a few weeks ago. Watching and hearing you told me to just fuckin do it. Thanks brotha! You kick ass! Im freeee haahahha
Great to have you back! Quick fast experience diag. That folks is why you call a professional before doing the parts cannon. Guarantee the service call was cheaper than the coil pack and spark plug and injector. Not to mention the down time that could have been saved.
