We are the Kraemers; Nate and Katie and our four-legged children Kinsley and Floyd with guest appearances by our two-legged children, Ryan and Ethan.
This channel will document our journey as we intentionally change from the suburban rat-race lifestyle to a more meaningful and simplified life. We both desire a drastic change in living, eating, and loving. We will capture the good, the bad, the funny, and the sad.
We start by selling our house and nearly everything we own. Next, we purchase and move into an RV trailer, and travel around the country in search of the perfect place to build a farm and homestead; where we will grow our own food, raise livestock and other food-producing animals, and live a more meaningful life. Amazing job. There’s something I dont understand about mini splits. They dehumidify in summer because they drain fluid but how do they handle condensation on the walls in winter? (Old homes sometimes lack insulation and condensation can form on the walls)

You took structural integrity away from the house the way you did that, wood siding on a house is to stabilize it. You put all this time into things like hurricane straps and then negate everything by not having the wood siding nailed to the studs. All that old framing should have been tied in with the new.

The backbone is connected to the hip bone, and the hip bone is connected to the leg bone, that is what came into my head while you were talking about the rafters. LOL! Good work Nate! Ya'll will be moved in, in no time!
Nate, don’t get the space too air tight. The mini split doesn’t have an air return, I don’t think. Mold will form, because the space will be humid.😊. That was the problem I had.
I was laughing when you were putting the foam in. I thought, he really does hate bugs. LOL It will help with heating and cooling as well. Less air flow. You are doing great Nate. I can see you two celebrating Christmas in the house.
Can you use just 2 pieces of 2x4, one longer for the step-on lever, and the other shorter on the outside side? The hole for the wheel axle goes through on the flat surface, not from the joined sides of the 2x4s. Less material but same effect and I think it has even higher shear strength.
Here is my concern about zip ties.... wouldn't a raccoon be able to just rip those off? Would love people's comments about possibility. This only reservation I have about these.
