I always see all the tutorials online do cinematics from camera viewport, but not from player view where the camera/player is grabbed and it plays out a specific sequence, that is where I try to figure out what I need to do.
I remember when people used to say 'um' during speeches in highschool. The amount of times you say 'um yeah' is actually annoying. You say it over a dozen times in the first 3 minutes of the video. I stopped counting after that. It's actually crazy. Thats because you dont know what youre talking about. You think a scrubber timeline is an 'editor.' lol. You say 'you know' when explaining things. No, people dont know, youre creating a tutorial on it. That button on the main scrubber timeline isn't just simply keyframing. It's an auto keying feature. Brush up on your knowledge and speaking skills before uploading a 'tutorial.' Its pretty bad. I thought I would learn something from this video and I didn't. Anyone who decides to spend a couple hours in a level sequencer can figure all of this out on their own without watching a 30 minute video a bit hardly even explains much. You can see that you don't even know much of what you're talking about. People are better off learning on their own than watching a video that's going to leave them in an incorrect direction.
Amazing tutorial, very informative and brief! However I did have a question. If I wanted my hit detection spheres to be from a different bone each time it is casted (in this case, in melee combo with both fists and the feet) would I have to make a separate NotifyState for each animation? or is there a way I could have the hit detect function itself check which animation is being played in the array?
Yes you can! you can use a select node for both the start and end locations of the trace or use a branch to a different trace based on your condition! Glad you enjoyed my tutorial and thanks for the support <3
i know this is from two years ago, but i am trying to port this into a 2d game and was wondering if it is the same process? i would like dialogue boxes like undertale and this seems to be the best way to get that.
Appreciate the information. Trying to mentally work out how my state machines need to be to accomplish what i need. Honestly i think I'm going to have an extremely complicated setup from what I've seen. Hopefully i can work it out in a reasonable amount of time
This theme gives a sad but hopeful vibe, representing the struggle in the fight against the Root but not all is lost. The second gives a more heroic vibe, representing the push everyone needed towards victory against what they feared.
instead of looping the animation you could just set enable physics to keep them on the ground after the death animation. If you do it this way make sure to set the collision preset to ragdoll or the character will fall thru the floor!

Hi! I have a question! I have my 6 attacking Montages on the Select Node but it only plays the first one. If I use a "Random Integer in Range" and I set it to Min 0 and Max 5 (for the 6 AnimMontages) and I plug it to Index on the Select Node it plays a Randoim Animation every time but I mess up the logic because in order to do this I have to diconect Attack Count Integer from Index. Any advice about what I'm doing brong? Thanks a lot!

I skipped to the last video to see if the series was complete and it doesn't appear to be, which is disappointing because it started out with so much promise.
Track has way to much hope, and beautifully orchestrated for a game that has you blasting hot lead through different worlds... and I love every bit of it. This'll forever have a home in my top 10 game theme list.😊
