The number of different varieties of apple trees astonishes me. I was in Missouri in 2011 ( for the Foxtrotter Celebration) and while we were there we visited Laura Ingalls Wilder's farm. I think they had orchards. Beautiful state!
Yes! We grew up here without any passion for gardening snd totally took advantage of it! In NC I got used to the heat and humidity and moving back here I am like, wow! There is so much beauty here that I missed growing up!
Do you know of this helping adults with eczema? As a child I had it & now in old age, at 71, I have it again in the places on my scalp where your little boy has it. My hair is very thick so the heat from nape of neck upwards makes it even worse. It drives me crazy! Mxxx
I think it’s a healthy skin care product EVEN if it doesn’t help get rid of your symptoms. It’s still very good for your skin overall as a moisturizer.
Love your sweet message! Not sure where you are from but welcome to Missouri. I pray you enjoy Missouri as much as I do. Blessings to you and your family!
Love this so much and the message!! I’ve been hesitant to start a garden for this very reason, but this is inspired me to start one! I’m a little late to the game but what would you recommend planting in raised beds at this time of year in NC?
Thank you for posting this recipe. I’m a 58-year-old man and have struggled with eczema my entire life. I made a batch of this last week and my skin showed improvement within 48 hours. As of right now this has been life-changing. You are doing God‘s work!
You didn’t say how to store it, seeing you have no preservatives. There are preservatives on the market that are skin safe, I’m assuming you must refrigerate this.
We haven’t had any problems keeping this at room temp. We go through it pretty quickly though. Also keeping in an air tight glass jar is helpful, as well as storing out of sunlight.
I actually this past few months have had horrible dry scalp. I think extreme stress and hormones with nursing and such. But I actually did put this tallow all throughout my scalp, took a wide tooth comb and really massaged my scalp, let it sit for 3 hours or so, and then washed it all out. I had very minimal dryness after when normally it is bad even right after the shower. I’ve also found just adding rosemary oil to jojoba oil with the same process works well too. You can search through this thread and see and I also believe that a lot of these issues can be solved with food and diet. It just depends what you want to do for your family and such. What you think is worth doing. There’s info on here from others as well as just researching different anti inflammatory diets. But you can for sure HELP the symptoms with tallow and oils in my experience.
This is so funny everybody always asks! There’s a slight beefy smell to it but honestly I have gotten used to it and adding essential oils helps! But I really don’t notice it anymore!
Lady, it’s the diet that makes people sick from inside that shows outside, eczema can be cured by removing any dairy and gluten from diet. This tallow cream just pushes the eczema back inside, it doesn’t mean it cures it. Plenty of vegetables no dairy no gluten is the cure
I've been planning on tallow moisturizer. But just to let anyone know, if you have skin issues, stomach issues so on & so on check out the carnivore videos. So many people have been healing by getting off the American standard diet. There are 100s of chemicals and poisons in our food. Childrens urine has been tested and is loaded with pesticides and who knows what else. Trying to spread the word about Keto, Ketovore and Carnivore. Check it out it cures SOO much.
It is possible to cure eczema and it can take up to 6 months to recover healthy skin.. a nutritionist would take a different way to accomplish that... well done 🎉
Aloe, tea tree...and the final ingredient would require a deposit because the ingredient needs to be protected by environmental groups before becoming even more popular. Yes its internal but the external is where the irritation occurs. If you can get the external environment under control (which you can with eczema), would you even notice you had it...would you even care? Its soothes babys so much when you can at least control the irritation. Doesnt work for all cases, depends on the cause of eczema.
I'm atopic myself. You should check carnivore diet for your baby. Eczema comes from inside. Doesn't matter if you can relieve the itching externally, it will come up again and again until the baby is cured internally. I know this because I've been battling since I was born until 30 yo. No PUFAs, no carbs (at least for a while), no perfum or shampoo, no teflon or any other toxic material as cookware, no internal devices like silicone, copper or even dental amalgams or titanium if you are an adult. Good luck ❤
Yes, thanks! I usually will let it sit at room temp and then put in the fridge when I do this but for the video I was trying to make and finish all before my kids naps were over! So I risked it! 😅
I had Excema bad as a kid. Some things really irritate it. Good soap is great for it. But it's a vitamin a deficiency. As soon as my mom started giving me vit A, it went away. Or feed your kids lots of cantaloupe, salmon, dried apricot, spinach, kale, sweet potatoes. There's lots of foods high in vit A
Cod liver oil is rich in vitamin A in the form of Retinol which is the most bio available form of vitamin A. Your body has to work very hard to convert beta carotene into retinol.
Eczema can be the resulta of low Vit D and most people can be vit D deficient because we do not take the sun (in a safe way) so some people just take Vit D3 supplements.
Peace be upon you. I took my kids who had eczema to my home country close to India which is Pakistan. The eczema went away. Then took my nephew who had it too and just one month of stay there made it go away. After a few years when the kids went to public pools it flared up again a little bit like you can say only on the inner sides of the elbows in my ten year old daughter, it came back also with my nephew who loves swimming it came back hand hit him hard. Now one of my other nephew who has never gone there and is twenty three years old has it really bad to this day all over his body. I suggest go to warmer place for an extended period like a month and avoid pools where microbial infections are more likely to attack those that are at risk with skin issues like eczema. May GOD heal us and our children from these GOD willing.
I'm sure you will make a great garden with whatever time you have. It sounds stressful, but it will be amazing! Can't wait to see an update this summer
Love that the kiddos are excited about Biscuits like you were. Love all of this and I don't see this as judgy!!!! You are extremely thoughtful about what you feed your family and I love that!!!
Look into herb tea, tincture, and capsules. There are a lot of herbs that help with eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis. In the process of researching dosage. Have learned to make capsules, and tinctures. Use tincture to make a skin wash. And drink herbal teas. Seems to be working so far. Now thanks to your video will be able to make the balm as well. The other helps internally and as a wash followed up with your balm seems like a win,👍 worth a try
For sure! The microbiome is almost always the reason for skin issues. I read that people saw great results by going Vegan or Carnivore! These are total opposite ways of eating, yet for some, they work one way and for some, the other!
This product ends up smelling slightly beefy but honestly I’ve gotten used to it. I don’t think it makes you smell personally. The essential oils also help if you were to add those
