@@KimKong777 So I could find any crown land on a map, and as long as there are no other people around, I could find a hill and shoot my non-restricted gun?
Damn it, I just want practical, reasonable gun control. The Cons want reason without gun control, and the Libs want gun control without reason. Keep basic hunting and plinking long-guns NR, scrap all the named exceptions and define restricted and prohibited based on actual functional rules, and make gun owners get insurance against theft, misuse, etc just like car owners. Insurance companies will figure out which weapons and users are actually responsible for the problems and adjust rates accordingly.
It’s illegal to prevent people from taking there rpal and there are no restrictions other then criminal record or mental health you just cannot buy pistols but still some r rifles
The biggest reason not get the RPAL is it gives governments agency the right to search house without a warrant. That is a deal breaker to me, any search of a house should be with a warrant.
This is a question I get repeatedly by students. If I have a restricted licence, does that give the police the right to search my home without warrant? I find this question interesting / funny because people think their privacy / rights are infringed more so if you have a restricted licence rather than a non-restricted. If you don’t want the government or police to be excessive intrusive then you probably should not get any gun licence. Canadians should know that the licence is issued by the RCMP, the Canadian federal police, the Canadian Firearms Program is entirely run by the RCMP. When you apply for the licence the RCMP does a background check on you, checks with your spouse/partner and references. That is pretty detailed and for some Intrusive but necessary. If you have a gun, any gun and the police have suspicion or reasonable grounds to conduct a search, do you think it would be that hard to get issued a search warrant??? I think it would be very easy for them to get one and it would merely be a formality. I heard that all PAL holders are checked EVERY SINGLE DAY on the Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC), if you commit a crime especially of a violent nature the police will revoke your pal and pick up the guns the same day or next business day. Also People Seem to forget that we are not the USA; you don’t have any right to own a firearm in Canada. The 2nd Amendment doesn’t apply here because we don’t have a Constitution and we are a different sovereign nation from the USA. Despite pro-gun lobby groups saying you have firearm rights that is a misnomer. Owning a firearm is a privilege just like a driver’s licence. If you screw up at driving too much or severely ie. drunk driving you get your privileges taken away immediately.
na, unless the ban of purchasing handguns is lifted, there isn't a point in getting RPAL. Unless again, you need it for your job then no duh get it. For any normal person, if you offer it for free along the non-restricted PAL then sure (or heavily discounted). Cause right now RPAL just seems like a upsell in classes that has no benefit, if anything it puts you on RCMPs watch list for no apparent reason. Get it when the acquisition ban is lifted, or join a gang lol

$$$$$ is all you want, This is just you trying to sell. You are part of the problem.
Education is not part of the problem, clearly you need more of it. Plenty of great restricted firearms you can still buy. Also how poor are you that you’re crying about spending an extra couple hundred bucks on an RPAL lol..
I took my p.a.l and restricted 3 years ago before the law changed. I waited 2 years to go my p.a.l in the mail after calling and emailing several times. I believe they purposefully held back my P.a.l amd restricted so I could not buy a handgun. Such bullshit! That's the whole reason I took the course. To keep my grandfather's guns in the family... now they are such in a gun shop in Newfoundland. Horse shit - Trudeau is a paid off pawn.
I went to a conference where the RCMP spoke about pal applications. They say as many as 60% of applications are incomplete, incorrect, missing information, not done properly. You should try to apply online or watch my video about the pal application.
They aren't banned if you have one. You just can't buy them anymore because trudeau banned their sale. Getting the RPAL at this point is pointless and a waste of money and time.
my uncle was into fiearms ,he adviced me at time to get my FAC restricted because laws might change & maybe won.t be able to get in future , over 30 years later I;m very happy that I took his advise
theres no way leaglly, right now, to go purchase, transfer or import. I fout have RPAL, you can lend another person with an RPAL your hand gun. you simply have the other person to get an ATT for it, can be up to 6 months.
MAGNA CARTA says that we have the exact same laws as the rest of "British ruled " countries around the world ( the Constitution !!!!!!! ) like the USA and that's a fact and for those who want to argue that I'm wrong I suggest you spend the next year or two reading up on it like I did so that you can FULLY understand what your REAL rights are as compared to these B.S. privileges the government offers in place of your rights which can be taken away at any time.
If I understand correctly, it’s very difficult to become a member at a range. My question is, do I need a range membership to complete my rpal? If not, do I need a range membership to transfer a restricted firearm from a family member, assuming the new government next year repeals the freeze? My question is specifically around needing range membership
I’m up for my PAL renewal, I jumped through all the hoops and then 1 aspect of the renewal asks for exactly what I wrote on my application, after the test we filled out our applications and were sent right away, that’s 5 years ago. I’m in Manitoba. I’ve tried every variation of the information and can’t get it right, is there a way I can see what I put down on the form, for all I know I misspelled something, thanks for your time
You can get your RPAL still but if you didnt already own handguns you cant transfer and purchase them unless you have an ATC. And good luck getting one if you arent a cop, olympic shooter, or logger in the Yukon. The only things now available to you are SBRs. Thats whats left on the Restricted lists. There is hardly a reason to get an RPAL now unless you care for SBRs.
ALL FIREARMS WERE OUTLAWED IN 1995. Your pal is a 5yr exclusion from prosecution. That's why The Crime Minister can use an OIC to move an item off the exclusion list onto the banned list. WE NEED CONSTITUTIONAL LEGISLATION EQUIVALENT TO 2A. Make firearms legal again.
I could take the restricted firearms course, but I can't walk into a store to purchase a handgun so what's the point? I will continue my handgun purchasing from other sources without having a licence and having the government knowing what I have. I like it like that. Thanks Justin!!!
Don't listen to this guy. Firearms instructors always try to upsell the CRFSC because it's an extra few bucks for them. I fell for the whole "oh it will be grandfathered one day" BS when I only wanted to take my CFSC. When I applied for both, the CFP used the RPAL application as an excuse to go full 1984 on me and accuse me of "potential crime" despite just being a small town guy with no criminal record whatsoever. I spent almost a decade fighting them and they said in court that they will never even give me a PAL even if I did everything right, just to prove that they can reject it for any reason. PS: The RPAL has virtually no upside to it anyways now unless you are some jackboot, in which case you are already treated like a higher caste of society by the state. Why would you work armed guard for $19/h part time when you can do basic security guard for $22/h full time? RPAL also gives the RCMP permission to waive your rights and they can raid your home whenever they want.
thats great and all but i dont qualify for those jobs on account of being white. I'll stick with my PAL. There is no reason the government needs to know which guns if any i own.
Not getting my RPAL until they remove the ban on buying handguns/fun rifles. Literally not worth my time and money to get daily background checks and potential random searches by the RCMP just so I can (after calling them to tell them exactly where I'm taking my firearm and what route I'm taking like a fucking child asking a parent to go out) ONLY go to ranges that are certified to allow restricted firearms? I know police officers who don't do any of that stuff, and don't give a fuck about all the restrictions when it comes to their own firearms but still enforce it on everyone else, the whole system is bloated and ineffective.
When you die your handguns become part of your estate. The executor of the estate can export your handguns to say the USA and try to get the value of them back. Talk to a lawyer and get some proper legal advice!

I have no idea, I couldn't find the guns, They must have been stolen... Guess I should report them as stolen.
@@SrChalice People in UK Au are starting to appreciate the wisdom of the American founding fathers with the second amendment. In Canada , we are not even allowed to defend ourselves and if attacked, we are supposed to die. The clean up squad (Police) that arrive soon will be armed , to protect themselves. In Florida, one sheriff went on TV about saving tax payer's money. If someone bust into your house, (castle doctrine) you are allowed to eject him back outside with your 357 mag or 12 gauge, and the paper towel to clean up will be all the paper work needed. One 80 year old lady did just that with her 357 in Texas.
Because that's a great way to get targeted for years of harassment from the CFP and end up with neither license, which is exactly what happened to me. I wish I never listened to that stupid instructor and only stuck with the non-restricted
