I appreciate all aspects of the Fromsoft games so you might see a bit of everything, but I'm currently really focusing on comparison content (Elden Ring 1.00 vs post-release, Elden Ring callbacks to previous games, Berserk references, etc)
I skipped the maneaters yesterday in a completely different manner. I was invaded in UL (near the arch stone) and pushed off the ledge by the invader. When I respawned I was in the ivory tower on the other side of the boss room. It seems way easier than this but I have zero clue how to recreate it.
Lmao damn this still works huh? Yeah we don't know how to recreate it in the speedrun community, it's just a bug that happens sometimes, and well it's online only as far as we know
Please note: "Platforms matter, as does the Patch played on and even how the game was aquired, ie..., hard disk vs downloaded" - one cannot be absolutely definitively factual on/in any gaming statements without taking these factors into account - that said my following question relates to the "differences" not noted (unless I've missed it) - I'm playing ER off a PS4 Game Disk, both on a PS4 Pro (patch 1.10) and my PS5 (patch 1.00 as it's NOT a PS5 ER Disk and my PS5 has NEVER been online - bad I'net here so most all of my consoles stay Offline and are updated only by USB jump-drives). My question is - have YOU noticed the "Stats" differences in Playing ER on patch 1.00?? For instance: on the PS5 patch 1.00 - Mind @ 16 gets you 87 FP - but on the PS4 Pro patch 1.10 the same ER Disk - Mind @ 16 gets you 100 FP - a rather big difference it appears, in the the Stat scaling between these two patches........ A close look at the Damage Stats for Weapons appears to reveal a similar disparity with the patch 1.00 Stats showing much higher than those I'm seeing on the 4Pro patch 1.10...... I realize these are NOT the differences your vids are focused on, but as I'm using them in my playing of the "original" 1.00 version playthrough these difference are significant and probably account for getting DEAD alot more often as enemies on patch 1.00 are definitely TOUGHER to take down, no matter what weapons are being used, (but very noticeable when using Fire Pots, even w/ Strength at the same LEVEL on both patches) - seems 1.10 gives a far more damage boost to them than does 1.00......, not mention that runes and drops, or lack thereof, on 1.00 patch are too somewhat significant differences........ Much Obliged BTW for all your hard work here - it's very helpful, thank you very much.
I think I might have noticed some disparity in the stats when leveling, but yeah that's a level of detail and tedium that's too much, even for me 🤯 perhaps one day I'll see about documenting how much each stat level gives for what, but probably not for a while lol
Youre probably using a stat increasing talisman, like the soreseals or heirlooms, probably a bug but you need to meet the stat requirements with levels to use the AoW
You killed it in this video but I'll get to the point lol... If you want to actually play the unpatched version, I recommend it, it's fun! But here's the secrets you should seriously know first... 1... Some really good stuff like rivers of blood multi slash or finger print shield super defense, or great sword FF7 cosplay... do not exist here. Bummer : ( 2... BUT... We got the sword of night and flame, horefrost stomp, and fallen star jaw beast pre patch and they are pretty OP : ) 3... Now we enter god like territory. BHS makes you untouchable 90 something % of the time you decide to spam it. Halo scythe L2 spam is insane. L2 Lion bow Gollem arrows are GG... But I still go for the noble slender sword most of the time. Just feels right : ) Also makes for a epic 1v1 with Malenia haha. Just beat her without getting hit. Felt good! I play unpatched a lot so this video wasn't the most helpful for me. But you did help me learn something I didn't know. The one banished knight in the city who drops that banished knight cape armor version. MANN it looks so kool and I didn't think it was in the unpatched version but thanks to you, now I have it. And I look soooo badazz lol thanks! Oh and the perfumer cave azula warp glitch still works in the unpatched. I can't remember if you mentioned that in this video but it works. Can beat the game in 30 mins as a result : ) Oh and the moonlight katana or whatever it's called is pretty dope in the unpatched version too, epic at damage, bleed, and poise breaking. Also sick range and fast attack! : ) Oh and did I mention unpatched BHS spam is actually slightly faster than running? Mann I love the unpatched version haha. Especially unpatched Radhan lol he's on crack!
Oh and how could I forget the mimic in this version lol. By far the most OP thing about the unpatched version. The mimic unpatched isn't stupid, fights very aggressively, can take like 10 times as much damage, and if you spawn it in with those L2 lion bow gollem arrows or the halo scythe. Mannn..... That mimic is going to and I mean GOING to end bosses for you. I'm confident I could run through the game making the mimic do all my dirty work pretty much haha.
omg I'm 2 months late but thank youu!! a while ago I had my PS5 disconnected from the internet and was constantly exploring this 1.0 version for months. I was so facinated at how different it was! I had wondered what actually triggered the two fingers room in the hold because some playthroughs it wouldn't open at all and was softlocked! and if only I knew you could kill yourself in an npc invasion that it would count as an invasion, I could have gotten the shortcut to mohg! I was always annoyed at that. Amazing work!
Please do not compare seluvis to Logan in any other way then brim size. Many characters in Elden Ring have large witch hats like Ranni, as homage to Logan. Logan was a kind intellectual which is a rare thing, where as seluvis is a wretched cur.
i feel like demi-human queen margot was "Inspired" by blood starved beast. When she throws her staff and becomes enraged her moveset in my opinion is almost the beasts moveset, same with the posture as well, but idk thats just my thoughts.
Hmmm you'd definitely have to get on horse pretty much instantly to even have a chance. My real advice would be to focus on head more so than feet, even if you miss him a bit, you're still bound to do more damage focused on head
I beat this game completely pre patch I had zero Internet connection and there was so much stuff missing watching others playthroughs. Also that one enemy in stormveil scared the hell outta me
I would overlook the open world if From Software gave us more tools to traverse through the land more effectively. Having just a horse doesn't do much. Getting to higher land is tedious. Gotta find an ascending path to reach. Need to descend but you are too high up, find a path that goes down or do a little platforming jump on those stones sticking out. Now in Zelda Breath of the Wild, you have a glider, horse, and you can climb on terrain.
I'm playing patch 1.00 and I was able to kill lansseax and get the lightning glaive. My playthrough has been vastly different, instead of him disappearing and leaving I fought him while he stayed invisible.
I'm surprised that for DS3 you didn't say boss fights. I'm glad you didn't though. I'm not of the common belief that DS3 has tons of great boss fights.
Glad some agree with it. I think a lot of people give some of the worse bosses a pass just cause it has some really good ones, but you can say that for almost any of the games

ER is a cashgrab made with the recycled assets from previous titles. After Bloodborne and Sekiro, you just can't ignore the absolute lack of innovation the game suffers from.

I assume its in case of glitches like this, or maybe you were supposed to be able to ride torrent while hes spawned and then they changed it later, but the code is still there somewhere
@@BertoPlease tbh would be really cool to summon torrent then ride but I like the change they did to be able to ride immediately, does make it more convenient and fast if you’re in a tight spot u immediately mount and escape
Thank you for asking respectfully instead of just bashing me like some commentors like to do 😂 basically I find it a cheap way to increase the difficulty of a boss, especially on a first playthrough, as it's not a natural animation for weapon swings and the like, you're essentially guaranteed to be hit by it. I think I said this in the video but I also find it unrealistic that warriors like this would move like that, as they're leaving you wide open to attack for whole seconds, and one of the biggest strengths of the earlier games was realism and immersion. If it wasn't overused in the game I wouldn't mind but a lot of major bosses do it, and it had already started to be a problem in Dark Souls 3, maybe even Bloodborne, and it only got worse in this one

I hate that they changed everything about Godfrey. Y did they feel the need to change it? The additional dialogues r so cool. Y did they remove them? Also, I really wish that they didn't reduce his health. His 2nd phase is so good. The change too Godfrey was so stupid and unnecessary imo.
Dragonpath vs Dragonpass make some sense if you know Japanese. The original text would be easy to mistake for either and the meaning is similar so it'd be an easy mistake to make with how text terms tend to get isolated.
I remember one time the dragon god punched me and it somehow got me clipped through the wall in the top floor all the way to the bottom and I skipped the first ballista and got the second one easy without it’s AI activated and I was able to wail on him EZ PZ. I have a clip of it too just to see how it even happened
Lmao yeah we've tried to replicate that in the speedrun community, dont remember if it was just slow or too unreliable, but its still a fun little glitch. Should still be doable in current, thats what most people run
Yeah, just completely butcher everything that made the original version unique and turn it into a classic high fantasy with illithids and balrog-type demons. Yep, certainly one of remakes of all time.
