Lovely video It brought back such happy memories for me too The Sea still looks so inviting I would love to know which month this was filmed in as it looks just how I prefer it: not too hot and not overcrowded Thank you for sharing
Thank you for watching! Yes, the sea, right on your doorstep, is the one things we absolutely loved during our time in Malta. To answer your question about when when we filmed this video, it was in mid-October so not as busy as July & August.
Been here many times spanning 35 years,in fact next visit in 5 weeks time..never heard it been called "bud gi bar" though!....nice video nonetheless...
As Australians, with our beautiful beaches accessible to everyone for free, we do find it challenging trying to understand why there is such restrictive beach access when visiting Italian beaches. Thanks for watching.
Wow…never knew Pisa was so spacious!!….all the videos Ira &I ever saw was primary just of the tower. Well…Pisa is now a must see for us. Thanks so much, your videos are top notch !!
We really enjoyed our time in Pisa during our long stay there so wanted to share with others that there really is a lot more to explore than just the monument area. Great to hear you enjoyed this one too!
Was the beginning of the video filmed just outside the walls of Lucca? We have been wondering what that area was like. Great filming, felt like we were there! Thanks so much 😊
Yes the first part was filmed walking away from the wall. Many people visit Lucca and never venture outside the wall so this showed a little of what exists. This was also our first video so we're happy to hear your enjoyed it. Thanks for watching.
Wow..we never saw such a large beach before! Seems like a really great place to spend the day with lots to do. Really enjoyed your video…so glad we found your site! Thank you so much…what a lovely couple you two are 😊
Thank you so much for commenting on our video. We're happy to hear you enjoy watching them. Yes, this part of the Tuscan coastline has a lot of beaches and makes for a great area to visit in the warmer months. Thanks for watching! 😊😊
Great video…love the music! Learn so much about the Beautiful city of Lucca…a very informative walk around the town. Thank you and keep up the good work😊
Thank you again for watching. We had a wonderful stay in Trento. The region is beautiful. (Porto is our favourite Portuguese city and Brugge is on our To-Visit list. 😀)
@@AntonandBella , Yes, same here, i'd like to re visit Porto (went there in 2019 same month with Malta visit) hopefully in the future :-), Brugge, Belgium yes i hope you can go there someday too, it's lovely (went there back in 2013 when i visited my High School best friend who lives in Duren Germany).
What time of the year did you go as weather looks nice. I’m coming in June. Been there before years ago but will be first time for my wife and 2 daughters.
Our visit for this video was done in mid-October. When we were living on the island we were still swimming up to the start of December and then would start up swimming again in April, so if you're planning a visit in June the weather should be very comfortable. We did find that August and September were the two hottest months for us, and also the busiest due to school holidays. Feel free to post any another questions might have and thanks for watching! 😊
@@AntonandBella thank you. It will be our first family holiday/honeymoon. First time in Malta for them think it’s 5th for me. So June would not be too warm. We are staying at San Antonio in Buggiba/qawra. You can get like the weekly bus cards from the airport can’t you and I can easily pay for them with my bank card? You still live in Malta?
Wonderful to hear that it will be your first family holiday/honeymoon! DB San Antonio is a lovely resort. We've eaten a few times at the Indian/Moroccan restaurant at the resort called Tajine. We think you'll really enjoy yourselves at the resort. The area heading towards Qawra has also changed a lot in recent years so lots to explore when you're not all relaxing! As for the public transport, the main Buġibba Bus Terminal is very close to the resort so we suggest you always leave from this terminal as the buses fill very fast and you may not get a seat if you catch it at a stop further along the route. There is also the ticket booth at the bus terminal where you can ask to purchase the Explorer Cards. You can also visit: www.publictransport.com.mt/en/bus-card-and-ticketing for more info on ticketing. Hope that info is useful! And to answer your last question, we no longer live on island as we're still very much exploring the world at a nice slow pace, and currently we're in Australia visiting family. Wishing you and your family a wonderful holiday!

I've never been to the 5Terre before. I wonder which months have less people? The line to get back on the train looked crazy! I wanted to say I really enjoy your cinematography. It makes me feel excited to travel to new places.
Firstly thanks for watching and for the kind compliment. To answer your question as to when the best time to visit the Cinque Terre, from our experience there are far less crowds before July and from October. As you saw, the crowds over summer are pretty crazy.
Wow guys, what a great video. I visited Lucca for the first time in October 2013. I saw the bushes and flowers that spelled out LUCCA in piazza Napoleone and it was love at first sight. This city is a gem and along with a few special people, Lucca has captured my heart forever. ❤ Thank you for your thorough tour of my favorite place in the world.
Anton and Bella, thank you very much for your video about Lucca! It has been the most informative video I have seen :) Since you are open to questions, I would like to ask one: My husband and I will be doing a daytrip from Florence to Lucca and Pisa. I understand that Lucca needs a day on its own, but we don't have the time to split the two cities into 2 days. So what would you recommend - going first to Lucca and then taking the train to Pisa or the reverse? It would be our first time in both locations. The trip is in the beginning of May, so the day is long (I know it's far in the future, but I'm very excited and planning the itenarary from now 😂). Thank you very much! ❤
Hi Inna, Thank you for watching and we're happy to hear you found this video so informative. 🙂 To provide you with some considerations for your day trip from Florence to Pisa & Lucca here is what we think is best way to maximise your time exploring both cities in one day: Yes Lucca really deserves a day, and if you have seen our Pisa video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ossk_5Lgvrw.html you will see that there is so much more to Pisa than just the monument area too, and it also deserves a full day visit. (We definitely consider you also watch this video if you haven't already.) However, given you only have one day, we would suggest going to Pisa first and catch the earliest train from Florence to Pisa San Rossore Station (closest stop to the monuments area). This will ensure you beat all the crowds that start arriving from 10am onwards. It is much more relaxing to explore Pisa when there aren't thousands of other visitors doing the same at the same time. You can then make your way on foot to Pisa Centrale (very pretty relaxing walk) on the other side of town and catch a train to Lucca and enjoy the afternoon and evening there before getting the train back to Florence. The last train from Lucca to Firenze SMN, depending on the day leaves around 2230 so you will have had a chance to enjoy several hours in both Lucca and Pisa by the time you return to Florence. Hope this helps a little with your future plans. Let us know if we can help you with anything else. Thanks again. ❤
Fun fact: Australia's Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is with origin from Albania, his family first migrated to Italy and then later to Australia. Albanese in italian means Albanian. We hope you'll come back for a second visit in the near future.
