Feels less like a diss and more of an observation Zag and Mel are pretty different from one another. Although they do seem to be a bit more strict with Mel but to be fair they're dealing with half of their family being kidnap, taking partial blame for that happening.
Maybe because they're quite different. Zagreus' journey was a form of protest, in the beginning of the game he felt like a rebellious teen wishing to escape Tartarus. Then he found out about his real mother - and set a goal to find her. But all those times he had a home, a place he could always return to, he even had Nyx as a caring adoptive mother. Melinoe, on the other hand, grew in hiding and despite some amount of childish joy she had experienced, ultimately she was raised into an avenger with a sole purpose of foiling Chronos. Her surroundings were a lot more harsh and gloomy than those of Zagreus, and where her brother was allowed to be childish, cocky or simply open-minded and curious, she is deprived of such opportunity.
NGL, I hope in the full release, we get to see Charybdis randomly have a chance to just spawn in the fight. So you literally have to choose between Scylla and Charybdis as the battle progresses.
Having Polyphemus speaking like an old timey gangster was an inspired choice, love it. Almost expecting him to start going on about "fittin' this broad a pair of cement shoes and send 'er down to the Big Cheese".
That would be a cool game tho. Playing as some kind of time traveler trained by the person who ruined the world to go back in time and stop themselves from ruining the world. I’d play it
In the actual story of The Odyssey, Odysseus tells Polyphemus his name (it's how Polyphemus is able to set his curse on Odysseus and his crew) so I think it's just a change Super Giant Games made !!
Odysseus fooled the cyclops to tell the others that nobody hurt him by saying that his name was “nobody”. So proud of himself he was that he taunted the cyclops with his actual name allowing the cyclops to pray to his father Poseidon for revenge. This but Odysseus in the butt.
I mean, people were not his main diet… Odysseus was just a little too curious. It’s like blaming a bear for eating rabbits that hopped into its mouth eagerly
@@jpjfrey5673 ahh, my understanding for him is not that much beyond odyssey, please tell me more if you don’t mind! From my impression, those people would’ve been totally fine if they didn’t sit in the ominous cave for hours to wait for him to come back haha
(Spoiler Alert) Odysseus stabbed his Eye out with a stake that was lit on fire . In Hades 2 Polyphemus comes from Odyssey a ancient Greek poem that Homer wrote.
