He also gets aggravated if you continually charge Omega moves with the time slowing Arcana. There are moments when slowing time *does* work against him, and he calls it absurd when you exploit it. Additionally you can use Phase Shift in his second form when he slows time to cancel it out.
He stops you from pausing the game until you get a special incantation, then breaks the 4th wall over you having a bathroom break and generally complains
Funny how Selene's Phase Shift boon allows Melinoë to pull off a "ZA WARUDO" on her foes. The next best ting to stopping time itself is to spite Chronos by slowing down time.
The phases of the moon can be associated with the passage of time or lunar cycle in many cultures. In Kemetic Mythology for example, Tehuti who is known as Thoth to the Greeks is God of the Moon and with that is associated with the passage of time through the lunar phases. One could actually tell what time it was by determining the moon's position in the sky. Melinoe being able to use the moon's phases as a counter is a cool mechanic. I reckon Apollo if he was the protagonist could do the same with the sun since one can use the sun as well to tell the day time depending on the sun's position in the sky.
Ngl phase shift slowly became one of my favorite hexes while going the olympus route. For house of hades I still find Dark Side better because of invulnerability and on high cost omega move builds It's available all the time.
My personal favorite is the moon nuke because you can upgrade it to give invulnerability until it hits, and it just clears rooms if you position it well.
(RU-vid is being RU-vid today so reposting) I think the Dark side is a waste of time. Especially with time vow. Deals soooo little damage. NUKE, Moon Water and Wolf Howl are much better. Wolf howl with some of the rare/epic upgrades on path of stars is actually crazy. And moon water is absolutely BUSTED rn.
No same! I’ve loved playing Hades 2 because I can feel the learnings and legacy from all of Supergiant’s past games in the mechanics, story beats, and even music. It’s very cool to experience as someone who’s played their games since Bastion
Idk if it is not working or it is not effective. However, Demeter's cast also works if u are looking to slow him down. The trick to Hades II is u stay behind the boss(es) at all time.
I don't know about proyectiles and such (specially in second phase) but it seems that the slashes do actually slow down (i mean they take longer to detonate)
@@joaquinbitancor1269 definitely. The slashes detonate around a second or two after appearing, while at 0:30 you see him create a whole circle of them lmao. hilarious
He also ignores you pausing time when using hexes. I found this out because he dealt 80 damage to me while I was stuck in an animation summoning a fucking hour glass
@@ruivru1939 no, they usually just slow time while you cast though so you’re not going to get hit. But chronos ignores time effects, because he is time. So this happens
I like how the effect still happens, just Chronos isn't largely affected by it. Considering Phase Shift is Selune's power, it really goes to show much how power Chronos has even compared to other Titans.
It slow down some animation, like the explosion take more time to blow, and when he is doing the sucking attack he is turning slower (you can see it a 1:10)
its still worth to take if its a full moon add, because the effects wile its active still apply, such as a huge action speed bonus, ect. Im glad they still allowed it to be useful, because, chronos's time theme aside; if you could freeze him for any amount during this fight, it could get waaaay too easy tbh, especially considering with high mana recovery u can just spam the fuck out of hexes.
and he felled his father who was also a god of time but stronger than he was yes he tricked him and had his mothers help but still time can be felled and its lordship challenged which is why it is weird that they didn't keep the fates being his half sisters as they also hold control over time
Perhaps, but pay close attention at 0:10 of the video. It seems to interrupt or disrupt a certain attack/animation sequence. Notice how it seems to dispel the wave of projectile clocks.
The moment that I saw that hex I knew it was gonna be a scam, why else would they specifically add a time slowing ability than for it to interact with the time-based villain
Only have around 5 hours and haven't beaten chronos yet but I'm having an extremely good run using this hex at the moment and I just had to check if it is usable again chronos... well shit...
the easiest way to beat chronos is to abuse a specific Appolo and fire boon duo boon. it is a boon that reduces your hp by -100 but allows you to regenerate health, 3 per second. it is broken ability for regular mode because it gives you infinity hp. Like if you build 200 hp, nothing in normal mode does 100 damage so you can always just run around till you full heal.
Is there a way to make the Hex work normally on him? It's kind of dumb that one of the hexes flat out doesn't function against the final boss. I know that pause button has a cauldron upgrade that gets it to work, so maybe something like that?
this fight would be stupidly easy if u could spam a freezing hex like that., i think its for the better. U can stil use the upgrades like increased attakc and damage wile using it, so it still does function as a buff
maybe it will get better, but so far i dont find him to be a very compelling last boss, compared to Hades in the first one, there was so much history there to make you want to beat him, unlike a random skinny dude with gray hair you barely see in the game
there needs to be more impact for him being dead; something needs to happen that makes killing him feel huge, thematic wise imo. Cuz when u defeated ur father, u got a whole chat with him that was so important, and proving it to him felt like something. I personally thing we will get more information about her family as tht goes on, and potential interactions with older characters lore as the motivations. or at least. thats my hope, lol
