I think the possibility of Nadal getting the singles gold medal is a low percentage but the gold in doubles with Carlos is very possible. For the singles gold medal, I am all for Carlos Alcaraz but I hope that Nadal and Alcaraz are not drawn on the same side/half because Carlos might be mentally and emotionally affected if ever he might play in the earlier rounds against his idol, Rafa since Rafa is not seeded.
Disappointed with Medvedev playing, huge respect for Kalinskaya who basically said: thanks for the offer but playing for myself? No flag or national anthem? I don't see the point at an Olympics event. Respect for the beautiful Russian, evidently she's not only beautiful.
They've mostly followed ATP rankings, but Carlos should be the No.1 seed. He's hot off a Wimbledon title AND more importantly the Current Roland Garros Champion.
He has been retired and coming vack about 10 times, why cant he just retire and stick to it like a man. Men are so soft these days they cant just retire and stick to it anymore.
Winning the Gold Medal, then the U.S. Open right after losing at Wimbledon was amazing for Andy, maybe taking a little pressure off him as he went after that Wimbledon title again in 2013.
Love the guy and he's a tennis legend but watching him this year has been depressing. Him moping around the court losing to anyone remotely decent and getting smashed by any one good was just sad to be honest.
Oh please! How in hell do you have a massive knee injury only playing one event? LOL she can’t find any NEW JUICE & PILLS to enhance her play like before. As for being a machine, she was running around like a machine all juiced up! Cheaters aren’t legends sir!
He should let someone else play where they might have a better chance of going deep in the tournament. I would love for Andy to win gold but we know that’s not happening.
Murray qualified, was selected as part of Britain's team and will play. Why is this so difficult for some to accept? If the litmus test is potential to win gold, then a lot of players should pull out, huh? Including Novak Djokovic.
I think with her advancing age the end is also closing in and her body won’t be able to sustain the level of play required on the WTA Tour. After her injuries, will she have the drive and motivation to come back???
Djokovic being erased from Wimbledon by a pre-prime player is a bad look. What are Djokovic’s Wimbledon classics? 2018 Nadal match is about it. Wimbledon 2019 was a luck-out against ancient Federer. Djokovic imposter syndrome is real. As soon as a single younger challenger arrived, it was over.
Djokovic played well in some of his matches like he said, but the final wasn't his day. It's unusual for us tennis fans to see, as the GS final is where he normally steps up... but knee surgery and Carlos playing incredibly. Real tennis drama with Carlos serving it out, just a little blip though considering his overall form.
Great to see all the Djokovic keyboard warriors pulled down a peg. Time to show respect to Alcaraz, as Novak has always done. Great content Ben and JG love the daily vids at the slams!
Carlos and Sinner are young and will keep on improving and working on their game. Novak can be 100 percent. But still his improvement on games will be more limited due to age. He has experience on his side. Can still win # 25 but will be very difficult.
