This was a big help! Thank you!! Suggestion. Show the knot at around the 3 min mark from different angles as I had to watch it a few times to get it. I see other people had difficulty too.
Fairly new to fishing and am starting to buy my own stuff (been using my FIL's stuff) does googan sell a baitcaster or just spinning reels I cant seem to find a googan baitcaster but I like the brand.
I'm a total novice, looking to do this for the first time. If we're never likely to see the mono or whatever it was he tied to the spool, what's the point of doing it at all? Why not just have the braid all the way to the spool?
Ive been struggling to figure out jig fishing... this is the first summer ive ever tried using a jig and ive caught one bass with it... it was a nice 4 pounder tho .. but i guess i just gotta keep practicing
My question is what do you hook the line on when you are done? I don’t like storing my reel on my rod! Spinning reels have a little tab you can loop the tag end around to stop it unspooling in storage.
Very informative! I watched the video of how to tie the knot & i must say, the best knot ever! I bought my son a baitcaster 2 yrs ago & been having problems with it since day 1. Finally decided to give it another try, working wonderfully!!
Tip for fluorocarbon get some kvd line conditioner and spray it one the spool while spooling every 100ft then once again when done takes the memory right out it
Quick dirty way to kind of make this not is to make a loop with your line then wrap it around your finger. Take that tag end loop through the loop you made with your finger then tighten it down and throw an overhand knot on the end with the left over tag line for some added security. Then take the loop thread it through your eyelet and take your bait or hook through the loop and work the line back up to the eyelet. I don’t know what the actual name is for this knot but it almost acts like a swivel because you can take it off and use the same loop for multiple baits. But it’s super secure and I use it all the time
New to baitcasters. It's exactly as I thought it would be. Man, people are sped. How exactly this wasn't helpful or straight forward like the title of this video, I have no idea. He did exactly what he said he'd do. You people could fawk up boiling water yet your mad at him
This vid is ass it took me an hour and got nowhere I started it got it and started reeling and it barley did it and I could just pull it and it came undone
