Prediction: Adar will put on the ring and it will activate his good side and form a mental connection with Galadriel. He will be revealed as Celeborn, so Galadriel's character "twist" is that she loves an orc! Oh dear! She's conflicted! How can she hate orcs now?! She learns compassion....but Adar is a tragic victim, it's too late for him, he sacrifices himself killing Sauron. The writers end on a "super clever" cliffhanger teaser, Sauron is dead......OR IS HE?! (He's obviously alive, the writers are morons, they need him for three more seasons of this purgatory).
Are you playing D&D? Great, take the feat that allows you to work siege engines and now you can bring down mountains. Also kindly remember the DM that cavallery charges can be stopped within 10 yards and mud and swamp do not hinder movement. So much to learn from this episode!
Okay I see that you are putting your crazy ass theories for the final here so… these are my two cents: -Sauron already forged the one ring after the end of Season 1. This is why he has those crazy ass supernatural star wars like powers: -Adar will put the Nenya ring and look like his old self. -Adar will die by two ways: that orc kills him or Sauron has the one ring and is more powerful. -I wanted the stranger to be Allatar or Pallando so bad, but 99% chance he will be Galdalf and in next episode we will meet the first Baggins. I heard this one in twitter but it was so amusing that I will quote it here: Adar is Maedhros or Maglor.
The conversation between Celebrimbor and Galadriel just pissed me off so much, Galadriel should be absolutely crushed and horrified and she should apologize endlessly (like for the rest of her life). Because she didn't tell him it was Sauron from the get go, even if Celebrimbor felt something was off, if he had known for certain, he would never have made more rings. But even after she got her own powerful rings made, she refused to do that and thus all of this is her fault. That was just one of her screw ups. Also so sad Elrond was reverted back to the idiot from season 1, why the hell would he bring the ring to a battle where he could fall easily and then it be in the enemies hands. It's not like he used it. Give it to the foggy old boat dude or burry it by the tree in Lindon or whatever. Just don't bring it. This episode was so terrible I didn't know where my tears from laughter ended and my tears of pain from the sheer stupidity began.
Fun fact, there are 2 rivers at Eregion, Gilgalad said so himsolf, so blocking one river ist not enough. Also the mountain was not there in the shots in season 1
I don’t watch RoP but did they write the defenders of Eregion so incompetent that not one of the commanding officers took charge of the defense of the city. I’m not dunking on the defenders of Minas Tirith in RotK but in their case, Denethor wasn’t doing anything but when Gandalf took over, the defenders started fighting better. Also, thanks for mentioning the siege of Jerusalem in Kingdom of Heaven, I like how the siege was done in that movie, from both how the Ayyubids and Crusaders fought in that siege. It was a back and forth spectacle. One detail I appreciated there is that both parties stopped fighting for a night to bury their casualties.
It was honestly silly to see the defender unwilling and unable to do anything to defend their city until the river was dammed. So dumb! The Kingdom of Heaven did so many aspects of the story great justice! The Siege of Jerusalem is one of many instances, but the intricacies in combat, the ebb and flow, and the honor shown by both sides just makes it hit so different! It's definitely the kind of film making I'd love to see more of these days.
Im predicting a "beauty and the beast" style ending and it sounds bad and cringe. While wearing the ring to confront Sauron , Adar starts to break apart as the "good" power counters his bad juju. Galadriel sees something familiar in Adar. Adar and his orcs approach Sauron, then twist Sauron says "all according to plan" then uses the darkside to re-mind control the orcs and Adar who struggles to resist. Galadriel then sees a vision of the future somehow. As Sauron chokes Adar, we then see Karendriel girlboss her way through the orcs, then surprise chops off Saurons arm and kisses Adar. Adar then blows up like wolverine in the abs scene and it is revealed that he is Celeborn. Sauron: "impossible, no ones ever done that". Galadriel: "we are good" *inspiring music and blindinglight attack.
Oh my gosh, that's even worse/more amazing than the other theories I've seen along this same line. Hahaha! You know, if it does happen, I'll give them full marks having stolen from every genre at that point and ruining Tolkien's lore in the messy process.
They're old at this point but one of my favourite things about The Lunar Chronicles was how different all the characters were from one another, both visually but also in terms of personalities. It was really well done.
😢@alexander, this is my theory, too: Adar is actually Celeborn who has been captured and tortured by Morgoth and Sauron until he forgot his own name! He tried to lead meaningful life and adopted a bunch of orcs. But whe puts on Galadriel's ring, he is healed! And then he is horrified when he realizes that he is married to that insufferable woman who calls herself Galadriel 😉
@@sabineb.5616 And then Galadriel renews her vows to the elf-turned-orc now redeemed once more to her husband, thereby helping her to realize that slaughtering orcs isn't the wisest thing to do with her time and she becomes wise because the plot demands it to be so!

Hey queen!! Love the content! I’m new to the channel and still getting the grasp of how this channels creators are set up, so grains of salt and all. I think this is a super interesting topic and I’m loving this video, but you’re losing people with your pacing. Push up the camera height, pop a little filter and a bit of music in some places and, if you don’t have a script, draft one, if you do, try and shorten it up and cut a lot of the filler. I love booktube and these are the kinds of videos I, and many others, want to see in my/their feed. Your content is valuable but the delivery might be losing people. Hope to see more of your videos in the future!!!
For those who tired of the "same face" character syndrome I highly recommend T. Kingfisher's The Saint of Steel series. Each book follows one of the former paladins of the deity who mysteriously died while they are trying to solve certain mystery, deal with the loss of their god and sort their romantic feelings. The characters are quite diverse not just in terms of looks but in terms of personality as well, and extremely lovable. It's hard not to root for their relationships and it also just feels like a breath of the fresh air
What bothers me is that these romantasy authors will repeatedly just list out a bunch of conventionally attractive features, as if that alone will convince readers to find the romantic lead compelling and sexy. In a movie, sure you can have a hot guy walk onscreen and the viewer might be instantly attracted. But novels are not the same medium, and don't work the same way - I find written characters hot through an accumulation of their actions and dialogue; the way their appearance is described is almost trivial, and serves other narrative functions besides likeability.
This is aaabsolutely true. How are we always describing the same guys? Besides, even just saying 'this character is handsome' is honestly a surefire way for me to stop imagining them as anything but a mannequin. (Call a man 'ugly'...? Now we're talking, I'm intrigued.) When you read some mid-90s or 00s historical romances for comparison, actually detailed descriptions of the romantic lead men are fairly rare and much more focus is put on their general demeanor.

That's true. I just re-watched the Fellowship for the umpteenth to the tenth power time and there's so many deviations from the canon. However, the story is still written very well, and the main moments and themes that make the books so amazing are wonderfully represented or accurately captured throughout that film. And I can easily explain the creative choices behind the deviations without squirming or having to justify utter crap. Unfortunately for the Rings of Power, I cannot say the same. Not even in the slightest!

Understandable...it's always good to see some variety. It's just like the Hallmark Movie channel. They recycle the same plot for all their holiday romance movies. Girl finds random handsome guy from out of town, they begin to fall for each other, misunderstandings ensue!! After a bunch of hijinks and personal problems solved by some of sort *insert miracle here*, the lovebirds with perfect teeth come together!! I cringe every time I see one of their ads. So yeah, I agree with your points here. Nice to see your point of view!
No bro, you didnt call the thunder. You just made me more sure that I am not crazy after feeling like I was slapped in the face by Kubo. Bleach was my second long anime ever, and I loved Ichigo and Rukia relationship. I followed manga for years and felt really betrayed and sad when I finally got to the end. But it was as you said, I learned from it, because I also found myself on the path of writer, and even was inspired by Ichigo and Rukia to made romance in similiar tone. With lots and lots of bickering.

difference is ichigo and rukia never had romantic undertones, they felt like best friends and family but you saw it that way because is so normalized for two close characters of opposite sex to always end up in love
@@carlsalba of course. Just from the surface level things I remember, Ichigo and Rukia were shown few times connected by the red thread of fate, which in Japan is symbol for marriage. That and, you know, the fact that even Kubo admited, that they are something more than a friends, before he changed his mind.
I don’t completely understand the criticism behind rwby. I’ve recently started rewatching the show and I personally really like it backwards and forwards. And I hope it gets its grand finale
If you continue to enjoy it, fantastic! And honestly, I hope the series ends on a high note as well. The problem for me and a lot of other fans is that the story and characters shifted in ways that do not feel natural, coherent, or in line with themes established by Monty. There are some episode where his mark and plans shine through, but they so few and far in between. Plus, a lot of the writing is more fluff than substance these days. And so, the show is just not as enjoyable anymore.
