Thank you for your comment. I am currently building a blacksmith's area in my garden. I'm making a video about it. It will be a little different than the furniture videos, but maybe you'll be interested. The next furniture video is already planned.😀
I love your videos, they've opened up to me a style and furniture type I've never seen in the US. Your light handed approach and attention to detail in restoration I have not seen anywhere else. Some of my ancestors were from 1840s Schaumburg-Lippe. They may have had a different style, but some of them were cabinet makers.
It's good for me to hear that you like the furniture. Here in Germany too, the number of restorers who take their time are becoming fewer and fewer. Modern furniture is not comparable
Anyone else enjoy just sitting on the floor maybe going through his treasured spare parts in the drawers of the workshop? This is one of the most beautiful restorations I’ve seen. Quality work with obvious love and commitment to bringing it back to its glory! Bravo 👏 Sir!
The spare parts are super valuable because you can't buy them today. In the past there were no DIN standards and therefore you always have to pay attention to the accuracy of the fit. The right era is also crucial. But they are right. I love the old locks and keys, the old hand-forged parts that were made with loving details and a lot of time
Until I came across your channel I’d never seen one of those farmer’s cabinets. They are really beautiful and I love watching you restore them. This one looked like a real challenge and you did a masterful job.
It's Been a little While. I Missed Your Work. It's a Pleasure just to watch You AND There's a Beautifully Restored Antique when You're done! I Love hearing Your Historical knowledge on the pieces You Restore.
This is more rehabilitation (restoring form and function but not youth) than it is restoration, and it is beautiful to watch. The carpentry is amazing and the painting so delicate! I see that Neko is still living up to his feline name, and you seem to have a great deal of traffic going by that wasn’t there before. Thank you for your videos! I only watch you, AT Restoration, and Modern Makeovers. The rest of the channels seem to have enthusiasm and skill, but not the talent and passion you three have. 💕🇨🇦
Your videos are always so fascinating. I'm always amazed at the amount of knowledge and talent you have. You are so right to say that collecting is important. My grandfather collected wood, shingles and other items in the 1930's from buildings he dismantled. I remember seeing his collection of bent nails which filled so many coffee cans. Thank you for another jaw-dropping video!
Man braucht allerdings etwas Übung.
Hello, thank you very much for your message. We are doing very well and I hope you are too. We work a lot in the workshop and a new film will be shown on RU-vid at the weekend. I wish you and your loved ones a good time.
The lady is very knowledgeable, too. Wonder if her family had some master woodworker/furniture makers/restorers. The bench is gorgeous. So good that you both can talk shop, trade skills and generally produce beautiful results.❤😊🎉
Super Arbeit.
