Excellent list! All of these are great FPS games and provide the gamer with a unique, immersive, and atmospheric experience like Bioshock 1/2. I picked up Until Dawn: Rush of Blood a few months ago from GameStop for $5. Very cheap! I don't have a VR headset, but I'm glad to have it in my collection.
Yeah that reach ending was 😲😲😲 I love it buddy. I knew bioshock would make the cut lol its brilliant. Titanfall 2 story mode was fantastic dude i played through i a few times. Total shame it didnt get the love it deservers. (Also the thing with the robot was the same for me in Infinite Warfare lol i loved them both) Awesome stuff as always buddy , Great list 😁😁😁
Halo Reach is my second favorite Halo behind Halo 3. I’ve played through Bioshock 1&2 at least5 times each. Doom reminds me of me and my roommates playing the shareware version nonstop in college.
Great video brother! I’ve played them all except Rush of Blood as I don’t have any VR but boy oh boy you hit the nail on the head when you spoke about Bioshock. What a fantastic game all around. It’s in my top 3 of all time. I definitely love some FPS as well!
Killzone 2, with its beautiful aesthetic, weighty feel, incredible sound design and world, has always been my top FPS experience. Nothing else comes close and I've played most of the games listed here. (Really enjoyed the video nonetheless!) While I liked Titanfall 2, I found the Mech too lightweight to feel convincing. The Mech on Killzone 2 did it perfectly--you actually felt like a heavy killing machine. Have you played Killzone 2?
The best FPS I ever played was a tactical shooter. Hidden and Dangerous on the Dreamcast. It was horribly difficult, but very rewarding. Not played another that tops it's overall immersion. Probably should not emulate it.. I like my rose tinted specs. 😅
I like your choices I would of added black on ps2 it’s so good and rage on 360 is pretty good different ammo types for each gun makes it more fun love the videos your doing great work
@@RNGGamerYT thanks for the replies not all RU-vidrs do love the channel only found it recently but have watched many hours of you content and loved every minute of it
I absolutely loved Bioshock. I only played it last year and I can't believe it took me that long to do so. All Thanks to Steve Craig Retro Games. I made him a painting that his wife commissioned for a wedding present and spending time with those characters made me want to play the game. So happy I did!! I still haven't played through Resident Evil Village. I started it so the group could watch me play it and then that kind of fell apart. The thing I don't like about it is that it was originally first person. It gave me wicked bad nausea. So I'll be playing it in third person 😊 And I'm so happy you mentioned Until Dawn Rush of Blood. It's one of my favorite VR games and it's one of our favorite games to throw someone into that's never played VR before LOL. 😂
Thanks for commenting! All of the bioshock games are incredible! Steve Craig is an awesome guy with great taste. Give RE village another shot in 3rd person. You'll love it!
Stadium Events from Bandai is worth $60,000 and I remember Bandai as one of the worst third party game developers for the NES. I can get a copy of Sunsoft Batman for under $100 and Sunsoft was one of the best developers.
Grew up with Wolfenstein, doom and Golden eye. Recently beat borderlands 1, doom eternal and 2016 and BioShock..... I have to say that borderlands 2 is the best fps of all time
That was a good list of games RNG. If you haven't played the "Resistance Fall of man" trilogy, I highly recommend those games; perhaps you already played Half-Life 2 and forgot to add it to the list. If not play that one like yesterday. As for for me, Far Cry 5 will forever remain my favorite FPS, not because it is that good but because that was my life in my early 20's, as far as the environment, not the story. A rural area with muscle cars and most of the licensed music on the game, although I have not heard Dwight Yoakam's "Fast as you" in the game, for a while now. For me it is a time travel machine to a better time in my life and I cannot expect everyone to feel the same way about the game as me. Happy gaming and good health to you RNG.
I've played all of the resistance games! The end of farcry 5 was awesome! I was a huge fan of it. I'm also a huge dwight yokam fan. Check out the song, "ain't that lonely yet"
@@RNGGamerYT Yep, I know that one; it is on the same album "This Time" which also had "Fast as you". I wish there had been more actual Country music in FC5; I am sure licensing and the cost had a lot to do with the music selection.
I only liked Halo Reach, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 you showed here. Damn I think you are more modern. Cuz you didn't mention the classic 1st person shooter that started it all. Golden eye for the N64.
@@RNGGamerYT Oh you didn't play the remaster of that for PS3 or 360? I highly recommend you playing that one. It's Daniel Craig in it. Yeah that one is a lot better, they'll tell you where to go & what to do, & controls are that much better.
Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, Duke Nukem 3D, Rise of the Triad and then BAM! Goldeneye, a giant leap forward in fps games. I remember playing multiplayer against my brothers on a 32" JVC tv and we thought it was the best.
Apart from the obvious greats like the old Halo's and CoD's, one of my all time favourite FPS games is Shadowrun. Possibly the most well balanced and unique shooters I've played, 4 races to play as with magic and tech abilities to use during gunfights. Criminally underrated
It’s definitely not an fps but the fps mechanics in Cyberpunk 2077 feel really good now after all the updates, and is some of the most fun I’ve had running and gunning
I'm really excited to finally play it! I got the ultimate edition for a gift from my wife. CD projekt red did a great thing when they didn't abandon the game and actually fixed it
@@RNGGamerYT I really loved CD but after the launch I really lost faith in them, but they gained that respect back and more by fixing it. Their dedication alone convinced me to give it another shot and I was definitely not disappointed!
Tons of fun!!! It's hard to play them for me because my kids are too young to see that sort of content. I have to wait until they are in bed.... and I'm too tired by then
I love all the (early) Doom games, and Quake... And I grew up with GoldenEye N64.... But my INSTANT gut reaction when I read the title... BIOSHOCK Unforgettable experience, timeless... It's a shooter, an RPG and a MOVIE all rolled into one!
I haven't played wu kong yet, but everyone says it's really good! Ninja Gaiden is tough!!! I've covered it on my hardest games I've ever played series 😁
Never heard about a lot of these games . Nice one ! Although I don’t believe ps5 games will be worth much in 20 years as the majority of games are not on the disc
@@RNGGamerYT you're right there , you never do know but 360 games by majority had the data on the actual disc and it would install that information to the hd but with new games are not on the disc and require you to download the from the server. So if these servers are off in the future , these games are useless . Yes people will probably have installation and update files to download online but for the common person who doesn't want to go through that process , it won't be .
Love your Channel! I too love physical media and games that are in the underdog class. Thanks for this! I definitely will looking into these games for purchase!
The gaming market is overinflated and worthless for anything you can emulate. Once those kids who grew up playing with the original games get too old to bother with toys (50+), no other generation is going to give a flip about all that plastic. It had its day and this is just the slide down to its inevitable death. It doesn’t help that stores constantly rip people off. It’s their own damn fault the market died early, that and inflation taking away discretionary income.
You have a point.... But also VHS, Vinyl, Vintage Clothing, old tech. All of that stuff is dead... but the younger generations love it. My 10 year old and her friends like Polaroid cameras... because they don't like looking at pictures on electronic screens.
@@RNGGamerYT oh there will always be money to be made by some. The problem is the markets for things sometimes gets filled with EVERYONE and there are more sellers than people willing to buy. Old stuff will always sell but nobody has a claim to make money in selling it. You can, but it’s not a given once the main audience is done with the stuff. The fewer sellers, the more they’ll make. But seller bubbles need to burst first.
If it wasn't for trophies I'd never play the majority of games I've played. But I never force myself. You need to find balance between trophy hunting and still having fun. I always do blind playthroughs no matter the game. It makes trophy hunting sm better. Plus I adored DAI.
