That isn’t what it is doing. It’s thinking the reflectors are another car and dimming in that spot. And once it dims, then it thinks the car is clear, then brightens again, then it falsely detects a “car” again. It’s bugged.
I don't think it's warning you for a tight corner. I believe the reflection makes the camera think there is a oncoming car. The same thing happens on straight roads with low placed signs.
Thanks - I don’t think it was re gen braking that caused it. It’s a general system error - most of the time it’s fixed with a software update. Some early cars like mine was, had a charger fault which needed replacing.

I have a 2016 Renault Captur and the radio does not work, the screen is black and says "unconfigured radio" with a yellow triangle with an exclamation point. I don't know how to get back to normal. Apparently it has been misconfigured by removing the car battery

Would not have ended well had it not been for this video. I did disconnect and reconnect the battery after 10-15mins. The batter in the e2008 is a quick disconnect. That worked out brilliantly.
Hello. I need to apply the "e 208" badge and "GT" as well but I do not know how to properly position them because the previous owner chose not to have them. Is there a way to align? Does the package contain a template or guidance?
Hi, the badges come on a card template to help you position them in the original positions. But bear in mind if your fitting the e208 badge to the front you’ll have to wing it - as it’s only meant for the rear 😎
Don’t forget that Matrix Headlight activation is FREE to the cars that already have the headlights fitted - unlike some manufacturers who are charging £$€ customers (Mercedes, BMW etc)

Hello, I have a Renault Captur automatic gearbox with the R-link system when I put reverse on R, I have the reversing camera screen which lights up and the beep sounds normally. but kan I put the car back on P the radio no longer works and does not turn off either it remains on as if reverse gear was always engaged on R who can help me please? 🙏🙏
Check out the insurance costs, in addition to the resale, trade-in value and the utterly massive depreciation of an EV . All EV's WILL NEED, (no exceptions) extremely expensive replacement batteries at some point, making EV's basically disposable, throw-away cars after about 100,000 miles. Unlike ICE vehicles, no one in their right mind would EVER finance the purchase of a used, out of warranty EV, especially if it has anywhere close to 100,000 miles/160,000 kilometers on the odometer. Expensive EV's appear to be okay, but only as a secondary vehicle and only IF you have your own house with enclosed garage and a home charger. 🤨
A lot of cars have become expensive to buy, and insure. At least with an EV it's pennies to run compared to ICE. As for battery replacement, that's a total lie. There are plenty of EV's running on their original battery, even after the 7 or 8 years that most warranties offer. Even with hybrids that have batteries in them, there are loads of cars like Lexus RX450 that are getting onto 15 years old, with their original batteries in them. Nissan leaf, etc, same thing; plenty running on their original battery, and they're full EV. As for the price once old, this is just like any other market. If consumers deem the product to be low value, it will have a low price, and vice versa. All consumers will have the option to make up their own minds as to what they choose to buy. If you dont want one, dont buy one. No one will miss you.
I’m coming upto 10,000 miles and 6 months ownership of my ‘71 M3LR. I’ve had one warranty visit (DC charging failure warning, but it did still charge on DC ok) and whilst it was in, a filter change. Rear tyres were 3mm when I bought it, so I changed those last month. I’m hoping they restart the extended warranty before it’s 4 years old, and if not, then I’d just get another 18 month old 3 or Y.
I don’t remember the costs - most of the services are just a safety inspection or safety inspection and a pollen filter. Brake fluid needs changing at 3 years so servicing is very cheap 👍🏻
Hi, Are you still driving the e208? I really enjoyed your videos. I bought a GT Premium in March 2022, so coming up for two years. Only problem has been a fix to the drop link on the rollbar. Wish I had gone for the glass roof when I see yours. I took mine off the showroom floor, so that option wasn't there. Very pleased overall, but I do a lot less miles than you. best wishes David

This EV was on my wishlist until I started to hear reports of problems with the onboard charger failing, and other parts in the car such as the AC compressor also running into problems due to the quality of 3rd party components that have been used. Would be keen to get more updates to find out if these issues are being sorted out, and if not how much they cost to get fixed out of warranty. Thanks
Just had the problem on my wife's car (peugeot e208). Walking away didn't do any magic but unplugging the 12v battery did. That was fairly easy by the way on the 2022 model since no tool is needed to unplug the plus side of the battery. There's a quick disconnect lever. Thanks
My commute was from North to South Devon which is A roads / dual carriageway and motorways and hilly. Approx 110 miles round trip. In summer I would get home with plenty to spare in a very cold winters day it would be close 😎
My grandland hybrid does the exact same thing just gone back to the garage for the second time I turned mine on and off and it clears the fault. It's more frustrating than anything But no one can tell me what the reason is
Hi. Thanks for the video. Would you say I should have any issues with a 72mi commute (round trip) without charging. Also wondering if you noticed any degradation of the capacity over time?
My commute was 110 (round trip) and had no problems. Living in Devon it’s hilly, so that has an impact on range. I didn’t notice any real degradation while I had the e208. The biggest impact on range is temperature. 10c and below decreases range.
(Forgot to say part of my commute was also on a motorway.) I would always charge to 100% every night. You never know when you’re gonna need some extra due to a diversion. I can’t remember the exact %’s. In a winter there wouldn’t be much left at all. In a summer I’d have about 20miles left?
Hi is there any definite cause of this error? Keep experiencing it on my car. There was a recall on the car earlier this year, and the work carried out for the recall and a software update has not fixed it. It’s a 20 plate but I’ve only had it 4 months. Had the error appearing Intermittently since I got it. Dealership have told me they don’t know what it means or how to fix it, especially as it’s often not present when they look at the vehicle.
Hi, sorry to hear your having problems. This error message is a general error message unfortunately. There are several fixes depending on what the issue is. In my case I needed a new charger but I know other people have had it fixed with a software update.
I got this message when I turned my Peugeot e-2008 GT (2021) on after a charging session. I tried to reverse and the car moved okay, but I didn’t want to take a chance on a full journey. I turned the car off, watched this video, turned it back on, and the message was gone! 🤔
Interesting that the tyres aren’t lasting. On our Fiat 500e ours are still ok at 30,000 miles and I’ve just changed the rear tyres on my model 3 at 45,000…
I'm considering one of these or a Hyundai ionic SE, they're similar in price second hand but Peugeot electrics have never been a strong point so had made me weary and after watching this I think I have my answer. I'd love to know what other people would choose between the two who've had experience with both cars
You just saved my ass. We are 300 km into a 3000km road trip and got this message when we stopped to charge. Disconnected the 12v battery, reconnected, and off we go! Saw other forums saying that using the B button for regenerative breaking can cause the issue. Hope this helps others
My e208 has never reached more than 50% charge rate, 4 of the most regular chargers are over 100kw versions. When asked Peugeot about it they old me that the engine is 100Kw not the battery which is 50kw. No matter who I spoke to they were adamant that the rate of charge will never charge at that rate. I honestly think I have been misinformed from day 1 what the numbers are for engine / battery / charge rate. Everyone person I spoke to, even 3rd party sellers, had no real knowledge of how things work on EVs in general. I would have never bought the the car if I had known there was this fact. What would anyone here do about this? You would think I could get a refund for all the extra time I have waiting for charges that would have been a lot cheaper & faster.
Also an E208 GT owner and a member of various Facebook owners groups, i was epecting your video to feature persistent faults, on board charger faults and the Rear Wiring harness fault that people are posting about nearly everyday in the Peugeot e208 Owners groups, was nice to see thats not affected you, and so far not me either yet
dude who cares about 100k this is not a tesla where time is money, its a bog standard EV car, besides 50Kw CCS would damage the batteries over time anyway stick to 7Kw and deal with the charge time only use fast charges when needed.
