It was better if you imagined judgment was a gears 3 DLC but on a separate disc. That’s how I got enjoyment out of it cause it had a bunch of gow3 content and feel, just not installed into the gow3 game. If overrun, FFA and the campaign (along with the customization) were added into 3, it would’ve actually made 3 the best game ever! But besides that… how can you discuss all that and not even mention the one biggest thing that upset fans… the removal of locust as PvP enemies? That and the quick swap system (that only allowed 2 weapons and a nade instead of 3 & a nade) that dumbed down the action so much, it just didn’t “feel” like a gears PvP. That was enough to make parts of the game not feel like a gears game anymore…. And you completely glossed over that when saying you didn’t understand how ppl said this didn’t feel like a gears game. It seems you understand just fine but intentionally didn’t address it. Idk why you chose to do that but that’s what made the game suffer the most. Sure some didn’t like the verticality (which I loved) as well, but it had hints of great gears content sprinkled throughout all modes in the game… but it also sprinkled enough changes throughout everything that took away from the “feel” of gears, and coming off gow3…. It was enough to taint the entire experience. I appreciate the game for what it is, but some of the smallest, basic changes made to streamline the action (red vs blue, no DBNO, no PvP active reloads) and make weapon access faster (quick swap) along with the wild customization took away just enough to make it feel like a “silly” version of a gears game. I thought the PvP maps were some of the best yet, but that can’t save PvP when it changes the most radically than ever before. It was a good game (miles better than gears 4/5), but again, if you view it as a dlc for 3 on a different disc altogether, it’s easier to swallow. On its own, too many changes took place to make it feel in line with the trilogy before it. THAT is why it didn’t land or resonate well with most players.
they probably planned a campaign for all this cutscenes and dialogue(audio) and stuff but something happened that lead to the campaing being cut. which is disapponting
I hope Mauler Elites return and come to "E-Day," to the Campaign and Beast, Horde and Overrun Modes. I'd also like to be able to spin the Boomshield like how the Boomer Elites can as a human.
People complaining about the controls are actually acting like they are disabled its wild 😂 yall will find anything to cry about crying about a games controls is just ridiculous
The Only People hating on this game are a bunch of 30 year olds that have nothing in life i loved this game alot it really tied up the lore i was looking for its s really good single player game Gears was never a multi-player game so seeing so many complain about the multi-player its insane like just go play Halo or Cod ya little whiny babies this gama Is Great and you can say otherwise
Clayton still one of the baddest mfers in gaming. Not many gears would be manhandling a Locust which is a monster that can literally bench a man in full armor effortlessly into the ceiling of an apartment. ( As seen in the cinematic recently released. ) Clayton crushed one's throat. Casually. While manhandling a mulcher with his other hand.

I'm gonna say I liked that 4 and 5 kinda were more colorful than the original trilogy. In the original 3, the hammer strikes probably did massive damage to the atmosphere and terrains which would explain why things seem so colorless whereas in 4 & 5, it'd been decades since then and Sera finally healed and looks lively again. As if peace was finally brought to the surface and nature could return to it's former glory. Can't say much for anything else wrong with this game but the colors are the only things I'd say weren't bad

I did like the Colonel Hoffman Flashback sequence, however. Particularly, E-Day from the perspective of an average COG Trooper, and the Lightmass Countermeasure Perspective during the Defense Of Anvil Gate.

This game had better be OUT-FUCKING STANDING. They'd better not, because their entire fanbase is riding on this. They had better not give us another "5" or make this game mediocre. This game had better be fucking perfect. Or at the VERY LEAST, pretty FUCKING GOOD.
