Master JianFeng Chen is from the Fujian province of China. Inspired by his teachers and experiences, he wanted to bring traditional training of internal/external martial arts to the people of America. In China, martial arts is deeply imbedded in everyday life. Energy work, through Qigong and Tai Chi are often not stressed enough, so the full benefits of practice are not realized. His goal is to bring awareness of your breath, your energy, your movements and how it affects yourself and others so everyone can achieve balance and thus happiness and health in their lives. At the age of 8, JianFeng, joined the Junior Athletic School of Zhangzhou to begin his formal martial arts training. At the age of 11, he was selected to join the Fujian State Athletic Wushu Unit, that is internationally renowned for winning championships, especially in Tai Chi. His teachers were Grand Masters and World Champions in Tai Chi and Wushu.
Thank you for this. I learned part of this form many years ago, but I had to stop before I learned it all. My teacher died a few years ago, so I couldn't learn the rest until now.
Looks HOLY $%!t, but when slowed down -- as you said on a previous video -- it shows how it's nowhere near HOLY $%!t as it appears. Just need to believe.
I think I've discovered possibly a better method for kicking. For example in 24 we bring up our knee to block then turn to use our legs for kicking possibly a second opponent , this I understand 👍. But "I believe " if we are about to kick (for example) with the right leg . First we should bring the right leg infront of our body to our left, raise the knee. Then kick to the right side ??? This gives much more protection and strength but it also surprisingly helps with balance before and after the kick ! It is similar to a sidekick. I'd be interested to hear opinions ☯️ 🙏
Wait a second. At the very beginning, wasn't her right knee too far forward? It looked like her knee was past the 90° mark. Either way, I'm thankful for these adjustments
