Hi mate. I'm shooting with the Pixel 8 pro for a couple of weeks now. I shoot semi professionally on Fuji and Sony Mirrorless and almost always carry one of them with me. So since I got this phone I'm getting some very good shots. So much so that for Socials the shots out of phone are more than good enough to leave my pro cameras at home. Obviously the pro cameras are better but I'm happy with the dynamic range and details, speed from standby to shooting etc. I am very impressed with the zoom lens. It's way better than I expected and I even find landscape shots with the zoom give lovely compression and plenty of detail what with the stabilisation etc. So I am very impressed indeed. I'm looking forward to having a go with some astro photography with it. I've seen some awesome looking astro shots from some you tubers. I am into wild camping and adventure photography and it means I can leave my heavier cameras at home now. And it's more water resistant than my pro cameras. I've been impressed with the high bit rate video also and the audio recording quality. It's a bit of a technical marvel really. Can't believe it performs as well as it does for a mobile phone.
I purchased mine yesterday. I opted for the f/4 over the f/2.8 G Master due to price, but also what I planned to use it for which would include daytime long exposures. I purchased a 150mm ND Filter kit to go over the front element. I'll find out how it goes on Thursday...
I don't use any photo apps for images because they have a very digital effect and produce overly sharp images. Instead, I capture a prof video as needed and then use the capture button located at the bottom left to save a jpg from it. Trust me, I have achieved better results for images this way than with the photo modes. Does anyone else use the camera this way?
Pixel 6 and 7 pro had amazing cameras the only complaint I had was that if the sun was extremely bright I felt that the pixel did worse . I think the pixel does good around the morning ,evening and at night when taking a photo but taking photos on the afternoon where the sun was really bright it did poorly in my opinion.
So I just got my first A6000 and this gave me two things I wanted to change. The "auto review" I wanted to remove, and I also didn't want that autofocus light helper thing. So that was great!
I know you posted this vid a long time ago, but the algorithm sent me here. I really like the message you conveyed about desire, creativity, and eye over gear and honestly the pics I like the most in this montage are some of your pixel 6 pics. I'm glad you had that interaction with that guy and hopefully he sees/saw your video and was inspired.
0:20 and 0:31 did you take that photos with the google pixel or what camera did you use? i'd love to take that kind of vintage pictures, but i don't know much about cameras
Finally someone addressed the portrait mode that you can adjust the bokeh afterwarss just like in iPhone, all the video said the bokeh effect was strong and they didn't like it
How is the X4s still single lense camera mode at night vs say an average cellphone photo at night? Ive just got my X4 and my wife is so disappointed with the photo quality at night, making her look darker, less clear, she says she prefers her phone😢. Am I missing something key?
This is a good review straight to the test photos and videos. I dont like a review when they do is just talk and talk. I like more images and videos samples.
capture mode is no more available in 6.1 update. When i click photo in 200 Mega Pixel and check the details it shows me 150 Mega Pixel in details, why ?? this is happening in 50 and 12 MP also.
You should review the Xiaomi 14 Ultra or Vivo X100 Pro. They are extreme contenders in the camera category. They have global variants which also suits your target audience. Sounds like some of your keen subscribers could get together and send you phones for review, accelerate your channel growth!
May I ask a question that's not intended to be disrespectful or undermine the AMAZING PHOTOGRAPHY on your site, this tutorial, least of all your talent and photographic artistic prowess (SOME AMAZING PORTRAIT COMPOSITIONS, and post production- dialing in your photographic capture to bring to life the vision you see with the sum of all instinctual, command of fundamentals all the way to the edge of what's possible. The LR Presets are Great, too) So, also being a photographer/videographer > I see the talent so I checked nearly everything I could find of you work. My question came to me way after already respecting, admiring, with a sprinkle of jelly > while being super glad for your success in achieving what I may only live to strive towards (thank you, btw for even sharing your techniques and special sauces that make your photog, authentically YOURS (we all have inspirational heros we begin our more advanced stages emulating - then as we grow those works we adore become but a foundational marker we then make wholly OURS! ---> Can you share with me the colors on your wall behind you as well as the complimentary color of the floating shelf on same wall and even the carpet!? This is my dream color pallet (I'd probably not be able to resist a red accent even if a pinstripe or corner LoL) [Perhaps you might even have the color values of a custom mixed paint color or even just the paint mfr/product line names of those colors???? I horrible at color theory and my OCD makes it impossible to select colors - and when I do, I have a real struggle with remorse or feelings I'm never getting things 'right enough'.. Heck, I've had a $50k home owners insurance claim on my home from hail and wind damage and am so afraid the colors will not be tolerable. IF I let loose and go for something OUTSTANDING. While also dreading the WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN, if capitulating to normal sure thing basic [had I not had all these bummer hangups I've battled since being a little kid!] So, if you could assist at all, I'd be more grateful than you could probably imagine LoL. Keep doing you - cause it and you are GREAT. GRATEFUL AND I AM, JD md
yes, it is gone after update. When I got my phone it was there. But when I did update of everything (oneui to 6.1) it's gone. I don't know now if intelligent optimization setting (maximum, medium, minimum) is related to capture speed
