The Google Pixel 8 Pro was just released and it's quickly becoming my favorite pixel to date. Objectively, is an improvement in nearly every aspect from the previous generation from things like the display, speakers, and of course the cameras.
This is by no means a full review since I only had the phone for a few weeks and it's not nearly enough time to test out the device thoroughly. However it should still be helpful because there are a ton of photos and videos. And I even go into some of the bugs and glitches I've noticed that I haven't seen too many other people mention yet. I've had the 6 Pro and then S23 Ultra and now 8 Pro. This screen hollow feel is definitely there and only seems to be found only on Pixels for some reason??? None of the Samsung models have this hollow feel! You are the only RU-vidr that noticed this 👍👍👍

Thanks! Yeah its def not something I hear people talking about, but anyone who actually uses these devices should feel the difference. But like I said, it doesn't really affect the performance or anything just kind of weird to notice

Thanks for the nice review. Do you recommend 50mp instead of 12mp even though the processing is bit slow and the app uses more battery?

Yeah if you care about image quality and the ability to crop in post def shoot with 50mp! Of course no fast moving subjects but it's perfect for landscapes and such

Very nice review! I also prefer the more squared corners, looks-wise. I will get the 8 Pro later on, in my family and friend group everybody likes the photos my Pixel 7 Pro makes compared to all other phones (mostly iPhones, but some Samsungs and Chinese phones too). The slider to select the lenses it a bad idea, why would they do that?

@@Aaddy7 Adam Matlock (TechOddysey) mentioned that the only way he could get his phone hit was by installing and running Genchin Impact (and I'm presuming Honkai Star Rail is worse (that game is less optimized)

It's fall here in NY so the device hasn't overheated yet. Maybe just a tad warm on initial setup. But running gps music etc in the car there's no overheating. And recording 4k60 outside no issues. But again it's not hot out so I'm not sure how it will fare in the summer. Again why I say it's hard to give a full review this early on. Just can't test for every scenario

@azvisuals I agree with you. But i just cannot trust Pixel devices at all. I've used iphones samsungs pixels one plus everything and pixel is the one i trust the least lol. Bugs and heat issues were always there for me so never liked to stick with them though that photo is 🤌

Every Android phone I've used has that jarring alignment issue when switching lenses but I feel like it's better now compared to the p7pro but with the new slider implementation it makes it weird
