Thinking back on Volume 9 and I kinda wished they had Weiss notice Ruby was falling mentally more and she tried to catch her. As a play on the moment in V6 where Ruby fell from the top Cordova's mech and Weiss then caught her and she asked Ruby "what if i hadn't caught you?" With Ruby saying "I knew you would." I know Weiss noticed after Ruby's reaction to Penny, but in this idea. I think its after Yang gets her arm back where she & Blake are walking in front of Ruby & Weiss. Weiss after commenting on the Bumblebee flirting sees Ruby downcasted and puts an arm around Ruby, pulling her closer. Weiss unsure if Ruby wants to talk, doesnt say anything, but this is her silently trying to tell Ruby "I've got you." Later while Weiss, Ruby & Jaune are walking together through the plunderstorm. Weiss once again holds Ruby close, this time Weiss goes to say something before they're pulled out of the storm. The night after Ruby gets crescent rose back she has a nightmare about the friends that have died. She wakes up, panicked looking for everyone. Ruby sees Yang, Blake & Jaune, heart racing about Weiss, until she hears Weiss snoring next to her. This calms Ruby down and she falls asleep. The next morning while Weiss, Blake & Yang are discussing Jaune after Weiss talks about helping Jaune she sees the frustration on Ruby's face and reaches out a hand silently apologizing for pitentially hurting Ruby. After the Jaberwalkees attack the paper town and after Jaune throws Ruby her weapon, but she backs away from it. Yang asks Jaune why'd he did that, Weiss steps in front of Ruby holding her bestie's face giving Ruby a concerned look. Then after the paper pleasers kill themselves its Yang who askes Ruby "What should they do?" In this alternate not Weiss. Ruby & Jaune's mental breakdown go down like they do, but Weiss stays close a to Ruby, realizing what's going on and that Ruby needs to let it out. When Jaune snaps at Ruby, Weiss places a hand on Ruby's back before Ruby takes off. The end of the season is the same. I understand why V9 was written the way it was and Weiss or anyone noticing Ruby falling more maybe wouldnt have worked with the end there, but maybe anyone who reads this likes this Alternate i thought off. The main idea for this alternate Ruby mental fall is remembering how close Ruby & Weiss have become and I think it really starts showing in volume 5 & 6. But in V6 an addition Weiss made to her outfit at the start was a red scarft, during the battle on top of the train the protect each other happily saying "thank me later." Also when Ruby saves Weiss her semblance gains white flower petals which is adorable. When Jin takes everyone into the flashback void Ruby & Weiss first call for one another. Weiss is the one who checks up on Ruby the most during V7 & V8. You could make an agrument that Ruby is closer to Weiss at this point than Yang. If Volume 10 happens i hope Ruby has a 1 on 1 conversation with Weiss and they talk about what happened and Weiss apologizes saying "I failed to catch you."
In the book Before The Dawn, it was shown that Velvet has been combining different fighting styles and techniques into her own unique style. As Coco herself says in the book: “Velvet may fight like other people, but nobody fights like Velvet”
Movies instead of 10. RWBY now an Anime in effect going forward and doing Movies is quite popular with Anime productions now. And so next up might be Movies that maybe broken into 10 after they are released as often done as well in industry. The no answer on 10 with how hard VIS pushing this indicator this the real debate in company are we doing a movie or a series next.
1 okay 2024 gang And 2 I deadass believe that Salem is the FIRST EVER Fully grimmified person since the brother gods cursed her and she tried to remove the curse on her own via the brother of darkness’s pool of darkness and turned her even her personality changed so in my opinion Cinder and the Grimm dog thing were the second and third unless you count the one RWBY fairytale
I shudder if Viz allows Shawcross to continue heading and writing RWBY. I think there have been plenty of volumes that have had poor writing and direction enough to warrant having him in an advisory role.
WB the one pulling the plug. DC got reorganized and never has had control over RWBY might be typical new manager killing prior manager projects no matter how good they were. So DC management during crossover probably wanted to move RWBY over but when WB blew up DC that went away.
I am going to reserve judgment when I see Volume 10 comes out. I am happy that Viz got RWBY. I am wondering what will the RWBY original series and RWBY Ice Queendom be online again??? There is no legal way to watch them anymore. Since both were taken off Crunchyroll. What will happen to gen:LOCK??? I was in the middle of the second season. I love some help with this. Thank you.
If the original team is still on the project, then no, the show isn't going to be saved. And before you all grab your torches and pitchforks, please understand that you can like a show and still call it bad. Studio SHAFT should have just bought up the rights to RWBY and rebooted it from the start. Or just picked things up from where Ice Queendom ended. I'll refrain from some of my hot take opinions about the show because I'm not looking to start drama. But I think the creative vision of Monti was lost LONG ago and at this point, SHAFT offered a fresh start opportunity. And this would have been the perfect chance to really embrace change.
It's great that RWBY continues but at the same time, its too late. Storylines got ignored. Plot itself makes zero sense until volume 4, which defined development hell. I'm sorry but it should have stay dead. To any fans who say otherwise, I bring up that this was Monty project and since his death in 2015, RT didn't know what to do with the series. Too many scandles with the voice actors. Too many characters to actually develop. Too many macguffin too keep track. If they can't think of something, then they get axed. Ruby's development in season 9 makes zero sense because it was to late. We are already at the tail end series so it was moot point. I read the Bunta Kinami manga. It was better than the actual show. Instead of continuing where Volume 9 left off, Viz should had redo the whole series. Icequeendome was a better story than RT's. It's great to have RWBY again. I will not see it. "Even the smallest spark of hope, is enough to ignite change" However, that should been blown out along time ago.
To me, I really wanted Dillon Goo and his team to be the ones who got the rights to RWBY. Dillon was a former RWBY animator, so it would've been SO MUCH COOLER to have him get the rights to such a great show.
That was 4kids entertainment that did the dubbing for the early seasons of Pokemon, so it was 4Kids that went with Jelly filled donuts instead of Rice balls
My little brother and I heard about this and it didn't disappoint. I really hope that we'll get some info on Volume 10 cause we deserves an Ending to the Series that we all know and love.
