RWBY Volume 9 Episode 6 Review - FINALLY! A Confession for the Ages! 

I think Lewis was the one to make it back! He wrote it as a story about how his sister changed. The Cat hints that Alyx did learn her lesson in the end. This also explains is name connection to the RW Lewis Carroll.

It's funny that despite not trusting Jaune and even poisoning him Alyx still apparently writes him as a handsome hero in her book.

Jaune went from "Yes sir" to "Your daughter calls me daddy too"

I would like to point out that when ruby sees crescent rose, the effect on the screen is very similar to the thorns we see in ice queendom, with the nightmares. Maybe a sign of ruby's continued downward spiral mentally?

My theory is that Lewis (Louis? Luis?) was an Ozcarnation. He returned to Remnant, and he wrote the book. It wouldn't be the first time an Ozcarnation did either of those things. And he changed the story and made Alyx to be the main character so that he could use the story as a lesson, like he the other stories he's written. This is further back by the color of his and Alyx's outfit. Teal and gold. Just like the original Ozma's color scheme.

If the previous theories were true in that Ruby will become Alyx then what if we have an opening where it literally just Alyx instead of Ruby in every shot. That would be insane

Jaune mentioned that he saw Crescent Rose when he was falling but that he only found it again recently, I'm guessing he goes back to the beach regularly and picked it up after they were gone. And yeah, judging from that look on her face when she slammed the box shut, and the fact that she's under the impression that people have to be sacrificed for the way home, Ruby is probably planning something drastic.

Given that Alyx is not portrayed well, even in the story she ostensibly wrote (Yang mentions she’s not described as a ‘good person’) tells me one of two things: -she traded her brother, got back, but perhaps matured and felt regret for her actions, so did not write herself favorably -Louis was the one to make it back, with Alyx’s fate unknown, and decided to keep a low profile, putting his sister as the main character I also think Remnants can ascend; I think we got a glimpse of that when Ruby encountered the blacksmith. You do not go to the tree, the tree goes to you. The emblem outside the forge even looks vaguely like a tree. Perhaps the fact that Alyx’s dagger was there shows she didn’t make it out.

I kinda understand Alyx's perspective. At least, the small snippets we got of it. She and her brother land in this crazy new world and meet a man who seems to know a lot about Alyx, and starts leading them on a very specific path, and seems to panic a bit when they stray from said path. I think questions about Jaune and his intentions were brought to the forefront of her mind during her encounter with the herbalist. I mean, I'd be suspicious too if I were in her shoes. But even so, I think we still don't have the full story. I wonder if maybe Lewis was the one who made it out of the Ever After instead. I mean, after a certain point neither Jaune or the cat know what happened at the tree. Maybe Alyx didn't trade her brother to the tree but sacrificed herself instead. Maybe Lewis went on to write The Girl Who Fell Through the World and omitted himself. He does seem to be named after Lewis Carroll, the author of the irl Alice in Wonderland books. I might be wrong there though ALSO I'm super worried about Ruby now. That determined look in her eyes at the end of the episode. When Jaune said Lewis had to be sacrificed to the tree so Alyx could leave, I bet she got the message that someone has to stay behind for others to leave. Ruby has some self sacrificial tendencies so I wouldn't put it past her to try and stay behind when it comes time to leave. I just hope Jaune doesn't end up staying. I think he should at least reunite with his team before they can end his arc in the show

I kinda hope they'll explain how in the world Louis and alyx managed to get to Ever After in the first place

Theory: Alyx is actually Little! So we learn that when someone "Ascends" they become something else with no memory of who they were before and the tree is the key to the ascension. thanks to Jaun we learn that after meeting the alchemist Alyx becoming different and more paranoid, Luis stayed the same. My theory is that Alyx escaping the Ever After is a red herring, Alyx tried to escape but loosing her identity and took her and ascend her making her Little, who we know is someone that doesn't know their purpose, leaving Luis being the one who wrote the story about her sister who lost her way.

From what I gathered, Jaune saw CR when he first fell, as in the scene at the start. While it's a little muffled, Jaune says that once we saw CR, he knew he had caught up to when they all fell initially.

I just realized something. Could Juniper and the Jabberwalker have a connection to the two Gods? They both have the same horns as their counterparts. 🤔

I think what they are more or less implying with Summer is that Ruby is More or less trying to Emulate Summer. Just like how a child emulates their parent. But this has been her driving force to be a Huntress, to be like her mother. And From the past few volumes they kept driving the nail home. Silvereyes, Ozpin, Even the Grim Amalgmation. I feel we are going to get our Red as Roses Part 2 either in this volume or something close. Either as an Illusion or if Summer ACTUALLY comes out.

I honestly felt so much joy from watching the Bees scene to the point where I almost cried tears of joy (I didn’t actually cry, but I wanted to) and it gave me hope about a personal situation that’s going on in my life at the moment. In the words of Dr. Seuss, my heart grew 3 sizes this day.

Note: When Ruby sees Crescent Rose, for a moment you can see Shadowy Thorns for a moment in the Darkness of Ruby starting to go into a Traumatic episode I guess ? Kind of like a certain Shadowy creature with Thorns from a Anime spin off

Shoutout to Breezy Nights. Their channel helped me watch some bits of this episode. And, I am speechless about the truths that got revealed by Jaune. Also, finally. Blake and Yang are official. Oh Oum, it has been a long, long wait.

I wonder if the Curious Cat can only recall information when asked about it or has his Interest Peaked. Much like how a Search Engine can help you learn information but you must know what to ask of it first Like "Why is the Red Prince so Mean" The Cat is definitely hiding some things as it seems to deliberately try to deflect Their Questions But at the same time seemed to Care for them beyond pure curiosity as it was willing to hold off the JabberWalker so they could escape.

I think that Lewis was actually the one who got out, not Alyx. He wrote the story about his sister, who was lost to the Ever After, and he wrote her kinder and with a happy ending. Lewis Carroll did write Alice In Wonderland, after all. Meanwhile, Alyx turned into the Jabberwalker, the only creature in Ever After who's able to kill its inhabitants, who does not play by the fairytale rules. It was not in the story of The Girl Who Fell Through The World, because it happened after Lewis got out. Lewis left out the meeting with Herb in the story, because that's what changed his sister, and he didn’t like to think about it. Maybe Alyx couldn’t get out because she had a new purpose, or she had forgotten who she was and who she wanted to be, which is why Ruby really needs to figure that out about herself before leaving, or else she could risk being stuck here too.

I know many of us are ecstatic about Bumbleby finally confirmed but Weiss' reaction was pure gold. That girl's thirst puts the Atlas/Mantle mom's to shame. Even if it's just for laughs, I'm glad Weiss has finally seen the light though Im a bit perplexed of what kind of guy is her type now?

I'll be honest, it makes so much sense of everything about the Ever After itself, the tree feeds on memories to resuscitate itself, or something, and to, as Jaune said, keeping the cycle going, so I'm curious, what happens if that cycle is broken?

Two things : When Jaune touched that clock fruit thing, he reversed time so far that he was in Alyx's story and that is crazy to me because doesn't that mean Jaune created a paradox for the timeline of Remnant as well? Also, does this mean Weiss is team Dilf 😂

Holy shit, finally. We have bumblebee!! It only took: - Yang an arm and Blake a stab in the gut (from Adam). - Overcoming some PTSD (that went nowhere to begin with). - Escaping an zombie infested barn (yes, I remember Yang grabbing Blake's hand of all the people that Yang could grab). - Murdering Adam together. - Going out with team FNKI, eventhough they thought team FNKI were annoying. - That weird forehead touche, at the Schnee manor, after the teams reunited. - Yang seemingly dying right in front of Blake's eyes. - That joking about Jynxie, catching Yang unarmed, together with that weird hand touch that Weiss noticed. - And offcourse the Ever after being sick of waiting, throwing them both high in the sky on some rope bridges untill they either wait out the pun-derstorm or come clean about their feelings.

You know, now that we know what exactly ascension is and how it works, the V9 themesong suddenly takes on a much more sinister undertone. The lyrics seem to describe someone (possibly even Ruby in a later episode) getting their memories wiped by the process and honestly not even caring enough to want to try and stop it after a certain point, with the bridge being the rest of WBY (or memories of them) begging her to fight back, culminating in what sounds to be Yang saying "Don't give up." Sinking down into depths of nowhere/I am undone/Clasping tight onto memories I know/They'll be overrun That describes Ascension perfectly. (By a girl)We must live with balance/But balance is blind/(Lost her world)Vengeance is a riptide/In a fairy tale, she'll find Ruby believed in the best in others, that the world would be balanced, but her views have been beated down and shattered time and time again. Neo's desire for revenge was a riptide that sucked them all down and was a direct factor in why they lost the relics at the end in Atlas. The lyrics in parenthesis are referring to Alyx, and as I'm going to elaborate later on in this comment, I think that Alyx is going to try to overwrite/possess Ruby later in the Volume Waves of gold overwhelm my senses/A fire blooms/Why should I fight to connect with a world/I cannot exhume? Ruby has tried her best time and time again, and still failed, everything going down in flames. At this point, why should she keep trying to connect to a world where she can't be with those she's lost (Pyrrha, Penny, Summer). (Trusted love)That world is ungrateful/A family estranged/(Hatred won)What I'd give in exchange/To be happy without trying Ruby trusted in the good nature of people and much like Ozpin was betrayed by authority figures she trusted (Ironwood), and ultimately evil won, further shattering her beliefs that good would always win in the end. She feels alienated even among her team and Jaune, because they can all be happy and just don't seem to understand what she's going through. Her relationship with them is estranged. She just can't muster the will to be a beacon of positivity for everyone anymore. She doesn't see a reason to keep fighting. And honestly, being able to be happy without having to try would be something very appealing to her at this point. The bridge of the song seems to be a collage of memories of the voices of her team in the Ever After as she sinks into the depths of her consciousness, giving in before at the *very* last moment a clear voice (that sounds a lot like Yang's) breaks through the haze telling her, *begging her,* not to give up. Inside/A new me, I'm ready/But who will I find?/Inside/I've gotta let go but could I lose my mind? The chorus seems to be Ruby looking inwards, trying desperately to find a new sense of self but scared of what she might find and that if she lets go of the past holding her back that she could loose everything that makes her RUBY. I have already believed since the trailer that Alyx would be showing up in some capacity to try and possess/overwrite (or even "ascend") Ruby and thereby take over her body, and something the Curious Cat said finally put the last piece together for a theory I have. He said that in the end, Alyx learned her lesson. I think that since Jaune wasn't actually there to witness the end of Alyx and Lewis' journey, that his assumption of what happened is actually a red herring. I think Alyx tricked the Cat, and went to sacrifice her brother, but the tree decided to take HER instead, and Lewis went on to write the book, writing his sister in his place out of some sense of guilt. But since she was from Remnant, the tree could only kill her body, and her soul/consciousness has lingered on, stuck in the tree but unable to truly die. I think at some point RWBY and Jaune will HAVE to go to the Tree, and that once they get there, Alyx is going to try to take over Ruby to get a body back, and Ruby will be in such a poor mental state that she'll honestly let her, and it will ultimately be up to the rest of her team and Jaune to try and save her. Honestly, the only thing that I can't account for with this theory is how Neo will play into it. Ultimately, I'm just hoping RT doesn't kill off Best Girl. Or maybe I'm just reading into everything too much, lol. I did have this eureka moment at 3am.

It is very notable, that the bridge Yang and Blake were on, is the same one Ruby finds herself on in the intro... Which has me even more concerned. Also, when it comes to Louis and the Cat... I feel like while the cat forgot, the fact that Louis was the kind one might be a relevant detail for later. That perhaps Louis was rewarded for his kindness after being sacrificed by his selfish sister. Given we have conflicted information on multiple sides, it leads up to a conclusion that both is perhaps better than one would expect given current information.

This has been the standout episode in what has been quite the enjoyable season. Blake and Yang's moment together just was done to perfection, and the reveal of Alyx and additional info of Ever After has me eager to see how this plays out.

I am so happy that it FINALLY happened!, that they finally confess their feelings for each other, and that they finally kissed!

I actually have a theory about Alyx... What if she DID try to sacrifice her brother to escape, but was punished for it? The reason i think about this is that YES, the book is a LIE... But it STILL depicted Alyx as FLAWED & SELFISH... If Alyx HAD INDEED escaped Ever After & wrote The Girl Who Fell Through The World?... Why would she write herself like that instead of writing herself as a perfect angel for instance?... Having her BROTHER come back to Remnant makes more sense cause if HE'S the one who wrote it (Sidenote, Lewis is named after the SAME DUDE who wrote AiW in OUR OWN world, so expect THAT coincidence to come true soon), then having him write Alyx as flawed, but someone who eventually grows up makes more sense since he'd write her on a brighter light instead of telling the truth. This theory is kinda foreshadowed in V8 when Ozpin does his apology & hints on that exact story by saying how during the girl's travels, she ran away from her responsibilities or whatever. Considering how RWBY loves to have their villains fall because of their own actions & horrible behavior eventually coming back to bite them in the ass, i feel like this theory makes WAAAAAAAY too much sense.

Yang and Blake sitting in a Tree,K-I-S-S-I-N-G and it was worth the wait. Let's pop open some Champagne to Celebrate.

The cat is clearly lying, he says he doesn't know what happened in the tree but in a previous chapter he says that Alyx learned her lesson in the end so he knows what happen to her, besides he says that she didn't take him to the door something that if he was not there he should not know, besides that I do not see why he would leave them just when the trip is ending, it goes against his curious nature, which reader would not read the end of a story when they have already read almost everything?. Another thing, the one that made Alyx paranoid about Jaune is the cat and we can see that he is doing this again, the two times he reappears the first thing he says is something to provoke Jaune and then he plays the victim. The role of Alyx is being played by Ruby and you can see that the cat is preparing her for something, most likely what he tried to do in the tree failed and he is trying to do it back, after he failed with Alyx, He immediately returned to Jaune but Jaune realized his nature so now he needs Ruby to get to the tree to do what he wants. It seems to me that the cat needs someone to take his role or he can't leave.

Wait is Jaune still…… Jaune I know it sounds wierd but remember he was poisoned then he came back but he said the cat found him so he might not be the same as he came to the world. Maybe like a character in a story just with he memorizes

Isn't the author of Alice and Wonderland named Lewis Carroll? What if Alyx's brother had written about his experiences in the Ever After but when Alyx returned to Remnant, she changed the story. Lewis was then taken to the tree to be sacrificed/repurposed and became the Jackalope.

I’ll answer the crescent rose question. Theory: Jaune already knew where the weapon would land so he waited and once the weapon landed he automatically knew they were now in the we’ve after. Jaune just waited for Crescent Rose to land in the spot he did.

Ruby not happy to get Crescent Rose is very concerning like Goku not using his kamehameha, its a part of her character. Will Jaune be using Crescent Rose by the end of volume 9?

Considering we saw Alyx's knife with the Blacksmith and not Lewis's weapon/accessory there means there's still more to the siblings's story then Jaune and the Cat know.

I’m so happy that Blake and Yang are now officially a couple they were my favorite ship and it’s finally canon. But I’m also still worried about Ruby, it’s like she’s starting to have PTSD but hopefully she’ll overcome it like her sister did, after she killed Adam.

It would be funny if Weiss and Jaune's roles were reversed. Instead of Jaune being head over heels for someone who couldn't give a shit about him, it's now the opposite. After all, Jaune has likely long since moved on from Weiss. Edit: Was is not called a Ponderstorm? I was fairly sure that's what he said. I guess I'll have to go back and listen, but I was sure he said Ponderstorm.

After seeing Ruby in final scene made me worry, I’ve been constantly never stop praying for Ruby to gets her hopes back and who she will want to become, and it better be in a good way. Also it better be this Volume, it may sound rushed but I want Ruby and her friends to get to remnant, and I don’t want to wait another years for it. 🙏❤️🥀🌹❤️🙏 P.S. Yes finally! as a blakesun fan, I am a bit saddened. But I can respect what Bumblebee means for the characters. However, I hope that Yang will pay more attention to Ruby, her own sister, moving forwards.

I also love that it's a bit of a time loop in terms of the Rusted Knight... Alex makes story about of her experience in the Ever After which includes Rusted Knight -> Jaune at some point in his life reads Alex's story -> Jaune eventually falls into the Ever After -> After some time, Jaune realizes what is going on, that he's a part of Alex's story, and that he's the Rusted Knight -> He tries his best to keep Alex's story on course, playing his Rusted Knight role as best he can -> Alex (supposedly) eventually escapes the Ever After -> Alex makes story about of her experience in the Ever After which includes Rusted Knight...rinse and repeat Time travel (or I guess time displacement in this case) can be such a headache sometimes. XD

This has been a heck of a ride so far this season, and it's clear there's more coming. I am really curious to see who is actually going to wake up to Ruby's mental state and her need for some support, and when that will be. Weiss has mainly been focused on trying to apply logic to a nonsense world, Blake and Yang have been preoccupied with figuring out their feelings for each other (now done), and Jaune just seems so tired and jaded after all his time in the Ever After that he's not really attuned to anyone else's issues. Like you've said, Ruby has been all but crying out for some emotional support the entire volume, but no one else really seems to have picked up on it yet. We're seeing her either lose or reject more and more aspects of her own identity, and the Ever After has clearly raised the prospect of losing one's identity entirely if they're not careful. While we all know Ruby needs to change and evolve somewhat from who she's been early on, she can't lose herself completely, and she's going to need her friends to help her pick up those pieces.

In the opening for the volume, we do see Crescent Rose wash up aside with Alyx so it’s possible that while we don’t see Alyx pick up the weapon, Jaune eventually went back to the beach and picked it up

The cat reminds me of Ryuk in a way, just along for the ride because humans are so interesting. A dark horse that may help any side if it furthers their own goals. They seem to operate on fairy-tale/fable logic, like the type where you need to be specific with how you ask a question. What we really need to know is what actually happened to Alyx and Lewis at the tree, how she got back, and what Lewis ascended to. Glad the bees got together, it’s been too long and we’ve all been through so much. By far the best part so far.

Did you see that visceral anger from Ruby Rose at the end of the episode Phoenix night? I believe that something was awoken in Ruby after seeing her Crescent Rose.

This episode feels like finally crossing a finish line that kept moving away as I got closer. I got my bees and now hopefully I can have a conversation or discussion about lore and worldbuilding without having the conversation hijacked lol.

I think having the Ever After itself be a fairy tale setting that forces characters to face the things they have avoided is clever. I'm glad Yang and Blake admitted how they were feeling.

I have this sort of crack theory that is partially based on the theory that Lewis was the one who made it back to Remnant and Alyx "ascended". (Which makes sense since, when Blake asks if Alyx learned her lesson, the cat says "I'd certainly say so." and the cat doesn't exactly lie, but just doesn't reveal more than asked.) I believe that Little IS Alyx ascended. For one, it's strange that Little is the only one who has/had no idea what their purpose was. A strange predicament since no other "Afteran" has the same struggle. Second, in the opening, Alyx appears to be guiding team RWBY through the Ever After, and you know who else calls themself a guide? Little. And now that it's confirmed that creatures lose their memories when ascended, it would explain why Little doesn't know an Alyx even though she landed on the same beach as all the others did. Plus it's strange that the cat makes a point to acknowledge every character by their name/purpose, but all he says about Little is that he smells a mouse, but makes no other acknowledgement of them. My theory is that the Herbalist called out Alyx's selfish and cruel actions so she wanted to make sure her brother got out, as his words made her feel guilty, but since her brother was her source of kindness and "consciousness", she didn't know who she was without him, so she ascended without a purpose, since Remnant people probably wouldn't ascend the same way Afterans do. Do I think this is a crack theory that will likely be disproven? Yes. Will I still cling to it until it is actually disproven? Also yes.

I'd say it was pretty dark when Jaune explained the truth behind Alyx and her adventures in the Ever After and the curious cat's intentions with guiding those who seeks his aid. But of course, fairy tales always carried a dark side that are often concealed with niceness. Most of the time, they're meant to entertain children and give them high expectations of the characters. Protagonists becoming heroes who get a happy ending, side characters who are there to provide them support, and antagonists who are villains destined to lose and get punished. But the reality of those stories is that they hold crucial lessons and hard truths about life and what you should do to prevent it from happening to you

The Ever After seeing the Bees: JUST KISS ALREADY!!! This episode was great and sparks so many questions. Can’t wait to see what you do with the info we’ve gotten

Jaune while falling to the ever after saw crescent rose but was not able to get it and then went back in time and waited for the moment it fell to retrieve it

A phrase I use a fair bit is 'perception is 11/10ths reality' to explain that what someone sees and how they see it is more true to them than the cold facts. I would say this applies to both Jaune and the Cat about Alex and her story. It will be interesting to see how things go and where they go. I wasn't expecting Crescent Rose to appear now though nor Ruby's reaction.

I'm not a huge shipper, but I'm glad the Bees FINALLY kissed. It was being dragged out for so long that it was starting to get annoying (at least for me). But them being so happy only makes Ruby's downward spiral that much more apparent. I fear for what will happen when she learns that Jaune killed Penny...

When yang and blake Finally embraced eachother after all these years I had the biggest smile/grin ever. It's like a chemistry resulting into beauty

This season has been fire so far. It might just be my favorite of the show.

you know, Ruby is a lot of things, even if Jaune does tell her what really happened to Penny, true that she'd get angry at him, and say hurtful stuff, but I know in my heart, that she'd NEVER hold it against him, with only 4 episode remaining, I know that Jaune and the rest of team RWBY, who finally notice her negative behavior, WILL help Ruby fight this depression of hers, and snap out of this said negative behavior, hopefully then, whatever encouraging words they'll hit her with, WILL help re-ignite that spark of hers, and be the Ruby Rose we all know and love, cause let's be honest, Ruby doesn't need to be like her mom, or any of the heroes in the books, she can only be herself, and the fact that she can't save everyone, cause that's the reality she needs to face.

I'm not happy that Bumblebee is canon (I much prefer Black Sun), but I am happy that they finally got it over with. As soon as Blake and Yang kissed, I was like "Cool, they finally did it, can we get back to the main story now?"

I'm just really hoping jaune doesn't die at the end of this. He's been through a lot.

The only thing that’s clear is that the Ever After itself is somehow manipulating time to achieve a certain end result here. Retconning Jaune into the rusted knight so that he could be there decades later to tell team RWBY the true nature of Alyx and what she did, the cat’s true role, Lewis’ whereabouts, etc. We still don’t know how Alyx and Lewis even managed to get there in the first place and how Neo is going to fit into all this with only 4 chapters to go. Could this conflict potentially continue into V10?

I'm so glad to see Jaune again. With everything he's been through and what he's become, he's definitely my favorite character on the show. But at the same time, I feel sad for him. As for Ruby, the two team leaders suffered a lot even though they didn't ask to be at the start. Weiss's reaction surprised me as much as it amused me, like a lot of people I think. I wonder where this will lead. Is there a chance that our vomit boy will finally be with our ice queen like he initially hoped !? In any case, I hope that this time it will go a little further than a simple crush as she has already had one for Neptune before. Because I am convinced that these two have a certain potential together. Surely there is something interesting to tell about them. I mean, he could literally and symbolically be a servant knight to her. Okay, it probably won't be as beautiful as Arkos, but still, it wouldn't hurt to bring him some comfort in all of this. Alright, now that's done, let's talk about the big part of this chapter, because I have a LOT to say (and little or nothing about the rest) I would so, SO much like to be as happy as the majority about Bumbleby, but unfortunately I just can't. Don't get me wrong, I'm not entirely against making this ship official. There is only ONE point that keeps me from fully enjoying it, and has been for several volumes now. More precisely, from the very beginning of the sixth. And that point is Sun. You see, in my opinion, this part of the story was never fully done or well ended. To unclear for me to get over it. This meant that each time there was a moment of rapprochement between the two partners, I felt a slight disturbance. Each time I hoped that nothing would be official before this point was settled first. Because I have to be honest The way it was done in this chapter was PERFECT. And I know I would have had my heart racing if it had been done. Because somewhere, I too was waiting for it in a way. But because this detail had been there for quite a while I could only half appreciate what just happened. In addition, I always had the idea that, at the base, Blake had to have a story with Sun, but that the writers had to change along the way for Yang due to the popularity of this ship. Especially considering how Sun had been introduced from the first volume in parallel to the story of Blake and his faunus origins. But also and especially given the devotion he gave her when he barely knew her. Or maybe they just changed their minds themselves and it became popular afterwards. I can't really know the truth of any of this. But either way, I find that the transition from one love story to another wasn't handled well enough for it to work for me. If ever Blake and Sun have a chance to have a conversation about this in the future, just to really move on I think I could fully appreciate any past and future interaction of this couple then. but for the moment I remain (positively) uncertain of all that. Sorry for all of those who jump of joice about this, finally happening.

I’m 9000% sure now the cat is either the crown of choice, or the spirit of the crown. Think about it, they said there will only be 12 seasons of rwby, and at the rate of rooster teeth really doing a great job screwing their own brand, that’s not even guaranteed. Why else does the cat want to get to remnant? And where else would ozpin hide the crown. You think they probably would think not only this volume would be a good opportunity to fix everything wrote in prior seasons and building more character for Ruby, throw in the 3rd relic conveniently cause imagine having them to rush the last 3 seasons traveling to find the relic of choice. Idk though I love this season and they did throw me off throwing Lewis in there. I also have a feeling maybe Alyx changed herself and becomes Juniper the rabbit to let Lewis go back to remnant - or what if Lewis was a past ozpin? No clue what their doing there or how they plan to make that piece make sense but so far this is probably the best season besides season 3

jaune means he saw cresent rose while he was falling he found crescent rose somewhat recently saying it was his signal that he would find them soon too

29:10 Well, technically Crescent Rose fell before Ruby, Weiss, and Blake, so it's possible that Jaune was traversing that Acre and missed Yang while finding the weapon, and then brought it home for safekeeping before going back out to search for his friends now that he knew time caught up. Not likely, but possible.

The big question I’m trying to answer is what revealed in this chapter is going to change the conflict with Salem. It feels like there will be a discovery made that can defeat or change her

This season is my favorite, cannot wait to see what will happen to ruby at end.

Theory: Ruby does turn selfish or untrustworthy with Jaune. And she goes to the tree herself as the rest of the team follow behind her. And to make up for killing penny he will sacrifice himself so rwby can return to remnant with a hopefully happy ending by ending up with phyrrah

This season has been so good thus far. I like how up until this point, Ruby was really into her weapon (Crescent Rose), but here, not so much, wonder what's going on with that...🤔 And Bumblebee finally happening, it was so beautiful. Though I wonder how Sun would feel about it. 🤔 Also I wonder what Alex's relation with Neo is?

After Alex saw her illusion self she changed, but what if the cat stopped that interaction for Ruby so the same wouldn't happen to her because of Ruby's mental state? Maybe the Ever after is all about change to become your better self or possibly the opposite.

The other thing I realized is that the cat interrupted Ruby & Herb because the cat knew the same thing caused Alyx to changed.

I wonder if Ruby is gonna go back to the blacksmith with her Crescent Rose in hand and she's gonna meld Alyx's dagger in her weapon, that would be dope. If Ruby does change, I want her to change into someone who has mastered hand to hand combat. Or at least answer the "What are you?" Question by saying "I am a hero who is exactly like the heros in the books"

I got a theory about jaunes age. I think he only looks old due to either the beard/potential depression for penny with his time being stopped when he destroyed the clock. Or he could only look old as the world depicting how he feels while he remains the same age.

After a couple of episodes in had the feeling that the cat was the secret antagonist. The theory of Jaune staying behind could have been hinted at with the clock behind him stopping at 10 showing he wasn’t gonna be there for Volume 10. As far as Lewis since we don’t actually know he could have stayed behind to be like a “guardian” of the tree because if he actually ascended then it could be likely that Jaune would have come across him during his time there.

Ruby and Weiss feel guilty and bad because they tricked ironwood and look where that got them.

I love the metaphor with the bumblebee scene it being a big representation of the bumblebee fan base. How the fan base put them on such a huge "Pillar". The storm representing the fan bases emotions. And finally when bumblebee is cannon the romance blooms like the flowers. Even Jaunes reaction is that of fans not over excitement just a exasperated "Finally."

I just realized something, Bees is literally written like a slowburn fanfic but unlike in a fanfic we can’t read the pining inner monologue of the characters and can only see the ship through the actions that are taken and dialogue about each other

I think they know that Jaune mercy killed Penny. I remember after Team RWBY was reunited and Ruby asked what happened after she fell, Weiss mentioned Jaune trying to help before Ruby fainted. It's possible that Ruby tuned out after hearing Penny died, and she may be the only member to not know.

I can't believe it! Bumblebee is finally canon. Blake is the Beauty, and Yang is the Beast. In volume 6, they vanquished Adam Taurus the Phantom of the opera. I don't know how they will get to the tree for sacrificing someone that they knew. For example, alyx got rid of lewis for letting her bust out of ever after. And Ruby Rose, what's up with her? All because she and her friends have been betrayed by lionheart and ironwood? All because she found out that salem killed her mother summer rose? All because she......i don't know. I think i could figure out how rwby and jaune can go to the tree to get back to remnant. When they go to the tree, they'll fight and get rid of neo to bust them out from ever after to remnant. I'm really positive that i had a theory for that. Right? Who's with me?

yeah i'm with you on that Jaune doesn't know what happened either and is operating on assumptions. when the sign on the ponderstorm crossroads showed follow Cat this way or follow Jaune that way the only thing i thought was it's neither. the truth is somewhere else and we actually know less than we think we do (both the viewers and the characters) basically A Secret Third Thing: The Volume, this one also that goes well with my theory from the very beginning of the volume that this whole journey is about getting an advantage that is impossible to get on Remnant by learning something impossible to learn there/finding a solution by looking at the problem from a different angle (e.g. from the outside). like the whole thing with Salem seems impossible to solve (unending battle against an invincible enemy), right? but what if there is a solution nobody has thought of before? maybe because nobody ever got outside of the problem? what if, again, there is a secret third thing? and now in the Ever After they will have to learn on practice that there are two solutions, both don't work, there is a third one and you will have to think for yourself to get there instead of following someone that Seems To know what's going on (what they've been doing up until now)

You know, a theory. In order to get out of the ever after. Team rwby and Jaune decide that they have no choice but to complete the story like alyx did in the ever after. After probably a lot of fighting they will reach the tree and sadly will have to sacrifice something. Possibly, Blake and Yang might have to sacrifice the memory of their love. Idk about Weiss or jaune but possibly jaune may sacrifice his warrior persona and go back to a season 1 kind of jaune where he didn’t know a single thing. But then we get to ruby. She is going to be a rock in a hard place. Deciding whether she wants leave her persona as ruby or something else. Either way, whatever happens, it will end up with the gang losing most of their memories of the place they were in. Look I know that alyx got out of there without losing her memory, but it looks like she traded her brother in order to get out. What does team rwby have that they are willing to trade. Memories, possibly.
