What was believable...That Leslie was one of the lovers....The lover cared less about the old wife and had others.....The wife was going to leave the husband for her lover.....The husband was glad she went to jail......What was not believable....That a seasoned detective never suspected anything for 2 years.....The wife never thought it had to end somewhere down the line [he was around 30 and she was past 50]....The wife never thought she was being used for sex only.....The husband was not suspect # 1.
unsatisfying ending. She makes bail on a murder charge? Her husband had means, motive, opportunity. Yet never comes under suspicion. And an unsatisfying ending. Don’t waste your time. Sloppy story.
If it's a first offense with no history of violence and without the means to skip the country, courts will often set bail (usually a pretty high amount, but they set it).

This story is satisfying. I hate the stories where the 304 escapes accountability.The POS affair partner gets it and the cheating, skankaholic wife gets sent to prison. This is pure, wholesome family entertainment. Hallmark channel should make this into a movie
The ending may feel emotionally satisfying, but I have to say it just isn't right. The cheater shouldn't be punished for something she didn't do - only for what she did do.
Well, I like the way this one ended but I also have to say I feel guilty for liking the way this one ended. I guess for me it's a case of there being no justice anywhere. Certainly the state has not achieved justice for the murder, but the state also regularly doesn't achieve justice in the case of infidelity. You would think if the state was going to insert itself in divorces it would do so for the purposes of achieving justice, but it regularly does exactly the opposite. Cheating wives regularly make out like bandits with cash and prizes while everything is taken from the men that have earned it. So, not a good ending. But I guess that's always the case where the state gets involved. I'm just not sure how far one should go to uphold the notions of justice when the state, which has the power to enforce its opinions, regularly does not as well.
Half way in, the question is why Raleigh himself is not a prime suspect. He also had access to the gun, and obviously had a good motive. Normally the husband is always a key suspect in these cases. Why did Sandy and everybody else did not think of this?

This is another problem with men and women working close together: even when it's not (yet) physical, basically they're having an emotional affair, and it's very, very common in the workplace. It's really quite absurd and bizarre that people ignore this. But obviously, it's the same as with the enormous risks of outright adultery when we allow men and women to mix at work, but clearly also very much in school and college.

I don't know about that actual scenario but my wife let my boss use her pretty frequently for around a year. My boss found out that I had been creaming some of the profits (it was significant), this would have meant jail time for me. She never told me until four years later once the threat had been resolved. This wouldn't be something that she would eagerly do, she was a very pretty fit twenty eight and he was a fat 60+. So who should I be angry at, me or her? The worse part for me is that everyone in the office knew that he was pretty well endowed (could see the bulge, the office girls giggled they had nicknames for him). Which meant even though she didn't want to participate, he would make sure she enjoyed it (orgasm) and her body at some point would give in to it, even if she was disgusted by him. She admits that's still the worse part for her even now, that memory that he made her become a willing participant every time they did it.
i personally think DNA tests should be part of the regular testing a child has when born. All it takes is a cheek swab. Or if they want blood, they draw it anyhow for other tests
@foo8327…..yes, DNA tests should be done invetro before the baby is born. Laws need to be changed to make the cheating sl*t wife solely responsible for all children not from her husband.
Stories like this actually happen. This just shows that they need to start giving people tests to see if they hold any biases or have strong allegiances to a particular group to avoid having crooked judges on the bench with the lives of others in their hands
What your wife did was much worse than what you did, she had a EA for a extended period of time and she had planned out her day of cheating including outfits, I don’t think that this level of cheating was ever acceptable. In my opinion the marriage is over and the thought of everything that she had done will haunt you for the rest of your lives, also do you really think that during the time that she was sneaking around that all they did was hold hands? For her to accept the idea of a hole day of cheating there was definitely much more going on, perhaps they hadn’t had enter-course but you know that they explored everything else. She was only telling you now so that she could justify her actions and get a free pass, divorce her now and don’t waste any more time on the unfaithful woman that you married.
