Hi there I'm Chris, AKA Weerchris (Dutch for Weatherchris). I'm a mountain lover living below sea level in the lowest country on earth. Yes, the country of windmills and tulips. I like to go out into nature; climbing and hiking in summer and skating and skiing in winter.
Please follow me for more ski video's as I try to visit at least 4 resorts per season.
За счёт чего скорость регулируется на таком прутом спуске? Я бы разогнался для всех возможных скоростей, а у тебя получается скорость регулировать. Как?
The best time is on a non-holiday weekday when there is enough snow (last minute). In general it's not too crowdy in December until Christmas, from 10 January until the February holidays and in March after the holidays.
@@Weerchris I see, because of its low altitude, natural snow is a rarity. But heard often that they have one of the best snowmaking capabilities in Germany. So even after weeks of +7°C you can still ski there.
That's correct, the lifts and snow making capacity is outstanding. But the number of open runs tends to decrease after 10-15 days of thaw and rain and that makes it extra busy on the remaining runs. It's really a lot more fun when there is ample snow. @@m.hoffman2889 When it's busy you can take the free shuttle to Neuastenberg or Altastenberg (just ten minutes) which are included on the same pass. In these smaller resorts the lines are always much shorter. Another tip is to visit the nearby resort of Willingen, they have an 8 seater chairlift and a gondola serving the same mountain (Ettelsberg) so much shorter lines.
There currently is enough snow due to artificial snowmaking in the previous weeks. A period of thaw has set in since Friday so it could be different the coming days / weeks.
@@Vipe_.9Cheats a lot less. The nearby resort of Winterberg created up to 70cm of snow on the slopes so they will be able to remain open for at least two more weeks.
Nice video; average "steepness" is closer to 35°, not as intimidating as saying it has a 70% gradient, and it was groomed from top to bottom making it even easier.
