Descending from the top to the bottom station of lift Westhang on a short but sweet red run. The weather was so so with low cloud and light thaw causing slightly wet snow.
Ski resort Altastenberg is the 4th largest resort in the Sauerland hills (North Rhine-Westphalia and Hessen states, Germany) after Winterberg, Willingen and Altastenberg. It offers some nice (mostly) red and blue runs, 8 km in total. Most lifts are T-bars but there is one chairlift serving the eastern half of the resort. The area can easily be reached from Winterberg by free shuttlebus.
