It's not that the game is bad per se, but it's that it's being milked to the bones by Bungie and the fanbase is chained by fear of missing out and the sunk cost fallacy due to all the time spent with the franchise

The bit about Re-Logic not making another Terraria, they did at one point with Terraria: Otherworld, although the project was abandoned. Not sure what was the reason but I feel like it's too much for them to juggle the development alongside the main game so they probably abandoned it and focus improving Terraria. And STILL despite that they added the Otherworld soundtracks into the main game. If Re-Logic isn't one of if not *The Most* benevolent company out there, I don't know what is.
From a gameplay perspective my Biggest issues with the game is how you have no access to a second analog stick even with the circle pad pro. Outside of that Egad just interrupts you through out your journey WAY TOO MUCH making it unenjoyable for replay sessions. I'm really hopeing with the Switch release the second analog stick enhances the gameplay and they give options to either skip and ignore Egad. 🙂
Even though tarriara is a extremely good game I can’t help but see that you compare the worst possible update like 1.15 to tarrairas best update. Also if you are going to compare them do research of both an example is when you compare to Minecraft in different versions. At the beginning you used bedrock as an example and then later when op multiplayer you compare to java when, just for a reason that it’s anlogt easier to do this on bedrock, so you compare just to damage Minecraft more. However still a great video!
The terraria modding experience actually confused me a lot because when I had just finished my first playthrough, I took a few days break before trying to play modded. I didn't know that in those few days, 1.4 was released, so none of the tmod download links online worked, and there was nobody talking about it being on steam, so I just kept trying out different things lol. I ended up spending probably 2 or 3 hours trying to download tmod, before randomly seeing a screenshot of a guy with tmod in his steam library, checking, and it being there, waiting for me to find it lol.
Genuinely brilliant video! You made me audibly laugh at certain points because of how relatable it was 😂 . You explained so many issues I have with the game like the bit about being a solo player and raids.
For me the main thing is that Terraria's quality of life is superior. No need to wait irl for something to smelt, no need to know recipes and place things in a special pattern to craft, no need to constantly replace weapons and tools that wear out, no need to keep feeding my character forever. Also the progression toward interesting gameplay and having fun items and good mobility is much quicker in Terraria. I tried to play Minecraft again but the drudgery and slow grind was just too much.
I love this game, played it for hours on end, and apparently its hated?? Like the only thing i find annoying is the ice boss (honestly i have a grudge against that thing i hate it with every ounce of my being), but other than that, loved it.
I got bored of minecraft so i bought terraria i didnt get it at first but i quickly realized it has ALOT more feautures than minecraft and wayyy more effort put into it the only thing thats lacking for me is its hard to call it a sandbox when it isnt a 3d game i would say its slightly better than minecraft but that would be a lie they are both the same rated for me both great games one is focused on sandbox while one is focused on rpg style i love both.

As someone who's played both, I'm not a fan of the N64 version, at least compared to the Galaxy games, Odyssey, and even Sunshine, mainly because the controls are so primative and it just doesn't feel the best to play. 64 DS with its better camera and pretty natural feeling controls, in addition to the added content makes it the better experience in my opinion, while not completely taking away from the N64 version because it's also a pretty different experience.
I wish one day Minecraft would look like terraria, Imagine having Everything u want in Minecraft just like in Terraria, It would be on another Level with new Adventures and Progressions.
I noticed that minecraft has lost its replay-ability for me. I think a lot of it is down to just moving on from nostalgia, but this video was interesting to see.
But you cant compare them. One is a boss rush while the other is a sanbox with monsters and.. what, 2 bosses? You are right, they are different. But not in quality. What is there to compare? Fighting style? Mining? Graphics? Youre comparing a 2D and 3D game. And youre complaining about the way to buy the game..? Dude, the website literally takes you by the hand and shows you how to do it. Then comparing furniture? Ummm, the thousands of mods out there? You dont remember? Sure, Terraria has a cool mod download menu, but one easy lok on youtube and you know where to get your mods safely. And so, so many mods improve Minecraft a lot more. The soundtrack now, Terraria is awesome for it. Minecraft has a much more different style of music, but lets face it, thats up to preferences, and most of the time youll be playing your spotify or youtube playlist in the background. Theres really nothing to compare. You cant say "Terraria is better" when comparing a 3D game to a 2D game. It dosnt make sense because of how different they are. They arent even the same genre. Its like comparing a mandarine to a steak. Its just not the same.
I didn't know it wasn't popular lol i loved it soooo much words cannot DESCRIBE! Loved the art!!! I didn't know it was a spinoff lol I thought all of the pikmik games was like that until recently, loved the pikmin park cus it made me so happy to see the pikmin chilling and having fun
i mean minecraft is more like a kid game (you dont care about some shit like if spending a year making a palace make a sense), Almost everyone who bor after 2004 played minecraft at their childhood. and this is the worst, when you start playing alone minecraft you will feel alone and nostalgic. And there is a lack of this childish "i don't care" Even now most of things in my life are good and i doesnt wanna pernamently go back. thats still that weird feeling that you will never be a kid again. We are only gonna become older and this shit is scarry. Last 5 years fells like a month and multible it by a 10 and i am 68 years old (WTF) Its just a burning memory
