I carefully curate interviews and game footage with colorful narration to create a brand-new experience of the best Larry Bird stories ever told; more engaging than if you were actually there. Why Larry Bird? Because he is the most underrated and underappreciated player in NBA history. Subscribe NOW for the greatest, most unbiased, well-researched videos you've ever seen.
I don't like the word arrogant.. he wasn't arrogant.. he was confident.. I don't like arrogant ppl.. it's just usually coming from money or something.. Larry didn't come from money.. he WORKED to become a Legend.
Lost all respect for Isaiah Thomas when he led his team off the floor BEFORE the end of the game during a playoff with Bulls. Incredibly immature and “victim”.
The things that Bird and Luca have in common is skin tone and effectiveness. But, Larry was a stoic killer who never relaxed or showed weakness on the court. Luca is emo and can be picked when he brings the ball up. I can't remember seeing anyone steal from Larry when he handled the ball.
Not a basketball fan but remember this well, I was in labor with my son. Have to say, back then the nascar was rough, the foot ball was rough, if you watched the bears or raiders or redskins etc you were going to see some pain, if you watched Earnhardt and Petty etc then there would be some rough driving. Same with the basketball. Just isn't the same now, the heart isn't in it or at least it doesn't seem to be.
My problem with Luka is that he complains a lot about calls, he travels a lot and I feel that he gives up on the defensive end to easily. He's a great scorer and passer and that reminds me of larry bird but his hustle, grit and competitiveness is not the same. he's young though, he could still prove to be better than larry eventually
For context, it should be stated, the Celtics v Lakers rivalry is decades older than just Bird v Magic. It was a very one sided rivalry but it was a rivalry. The hatred between these two teams and their fan bases was multi-generational
Lamebeer wasn't there to play basketball. He was only there to hurt people, cripple them if he could. Why he was allowed to continue playing was sheer idiocy.
Getting clotheslined couldn't have happened to a more deserving guy than that Thug Rambis. Why they didn't toss that cretin Lamebeer never did make sense. He wasn't there to play basketball, he was there to cripple people.
Isaiah Thomas is so jealous. And the fact that the Pistons walked off the court before end of game was hugely childish. Remember the Bulls brought on Dennis Rodman. Hero that doesn’t score. Every team needs a DR.
Sports then: "Fk you, I hate you. We're the _________ bish. You don't fk with us" Sports now: "Hey friend of the other team! Wanna swap jerseys and take a picture like they do with Soccer in Europe? We can even practice our Flopping technique!"
To of the best players ever, and the best team rivalries that you'll never see again... but, the announcer never said anything about Bird kicking and shoving his elbow first.
The Celtics can call it: physicsl tough defense, etc. It was thinly disguised, Rugby. It gave rise to the Pistons tackling MJ and in the mid 90s w those wrestling teams called the Knicks leading to unwatchable 1994 Finals.
1:08 Bird caught that elbow from Kareem cuz McHale hit him in the face. Instant Karma was that had to start playing dirty. It's peculiar that the ref called that foul on Kareem, being that he was out of position to see the elbow land. But after watching Winning Time, it kinda portrayed Red Auerbach as having some sort of executive power over the league. It kinda explains why these slow white guys were beating so many predominantly black teams
I'm sorry Larry Bird is one of those players who you could have put him on any team and he would have raised the collective ability of that team that was his personality in my mind
In the video epic rap battles of history Muhammad Ali versus Michael Jordan one line that would have been great all I have to do to shut you down and send a bird after you lol
I'm a Bulls fan. I hated Larry Bird. We could NEVER beat him, not even with Michael. That being said Larry Legend was the most clutch player in NBA history. Pat Riley said it best: "If I had to choose a player to take the last shot to win the game, I choose Jordan. If I had to choose a player to hit a shot to save my life, I choose Larry Bird". As far as J.J. Reddick, haters gonna hate.
Lambeer should be in the Hall of Fame. Such a great shooter from outside. Great rebounder and defender. The Pistons were very lucky to have him. Thanks for the memories to all the Bad Boys.
Can we be done with this one now? Luka is great....not taking away. I do not recall Bird ever having more 4th quarter fouls and turnovers than points in three finals games, in a row. Games 1-3, Luka........ Bird did win 3 MVP's, in a row.....against Jordan, Dr J, Magic, Clyde, Dominique, Isaiah, Clyde, i mean......in a row, three League MVP's and the game winners... no....Luka is reminiscent in the way a bud light is reminiscent of a high quaility craft brew. same guy? nah. Bird never stunk up the joint and complained about the refs, he did call himself and his teammates a bunch of sissies once though
