Dr Martin, As a fellow human being, I would have loved to say some wise things to you and to some of the people here who are going through the same thing but they are just words that doesn`t lead anywhere. But I have experienced an extraordinary thing in my life, a personal relationship with God that I share with everyone I meet, not only you. What you have to do? very simple, You invite Jesus Christ into your heart. How? Talk to him, he is NOT deaf, trust me when I say this. It is not hard to say " Jesus Christ, I am not sure about this but people say you are real and I don`t know why I am in this situation but Please COME TO MY HEART, FORGIVE MY SINS, help me" (That is not difficult, is it? but be genuine). The people here have only nice wishes but the Bible have words capable of doing amazing things in your heart. ( Start reading from the Gospels, John, Luke, Mathew and Mark, there are Bible Audio here on you tube if you prefer that).

You are amazing! 11 years with pancreatic cancer! I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer w bone Mets in 2013, 12 1/2 years! It switched from her 2 - to slightly her 2 +. Your comments about whether your thoughts are useful to you is very true. When I have negative thoughts, I’ve learned to ask myself whether the scenario I’ve conjured is real and most of the time, it’s worrying about something that never pans out. Wasted energy. That you’ve survived eleven years with pancreatic cancer is amazing. I hope you have many more.
I recently had another bone marrow biopsy. Doctor asked how come I was so calm. I said it’s because I’m sitting on a lounge chair, under a palm tree for shade with a gin & tonic & my best friend with me

I’m sorry to hear about your update. I know you’ve probably gotten lots of advice from many corners, but I wonder if you might have a way of finding and connecting with Kris Carr of Crazy Sexy Cancer. She’s been thriving with what sounds like a very similar diagnosis for about 17 or so years. She had it in her lungs and also stage 4 in her liver (inoperable) and it was in another organ I can’t remember. If anything , she may be a meaningful source of insight and support.
