Lived there most of my life. Don't get wrong but I have 2 good friends still there and they tell me the cost of living has exploded! In Nevada now and I love it. I guess it's up to the individual.
Love how homeboy is all bro bro with mismatched colors and a fanny pack with a man bun lmao! We need to go out for some dinner or something lol. Seem like fun nice guys.
I moved from Las Vegas Nevada to Milwaukie, Oregon in 2012. I lived in Milwaukie for 11 years. My partner passed away and I decided to make a change and I moved out to happy Valley. I was not happy and happy Valley is so far away from anything and you have to drive to every store anything you wanna go to After two years living there, I moved back to Milwaukie and I can be at any store. I wanna be at or any pub or restaurant in just a few minutes. I moved into the brand new HenleyPlace apartment homes, which are absolutely beautiful and I am totally happy to be back in Milwaukie where I can walk anywhere I wanna go in just a few minutes. living in Milwaukie, you can find homes anywhere from seven or $800,000 to over millions of dollars on the river. It’s a beautiful area to discover in Oregon and now that I’ve been here 14 years I will never move anywhere else. Lake Oswego and West linn are wonderful but it is so hard to get anywhere from that area. Anywhere in the southwest side of the river is almost impossible to get anywhere to none of the roads go through. They don’t connect. It’s all constantly changing streets and going different directions and once you go to the west side, you can’t come back to the east side the same way. It’s craziness to get anywhere in the west side on the east side all the streets are north south, east and west.
Is there a door in the fence in the backyard so the property owner can walk directly down to the lake? How does the property owner walk to the lake from the house?
Love! Love! LOVE!! Wish I was in the market. Jessica G. was my realtor for the place I live now. If I come back into the market I will definitely call you guys.
Pm me. Looking to relocate from Houston to Vancouver in next 3-6 months. From Cali, lived in Oahu now in Houston but missing the hikes and nature. Let’s link up
Good video. I grew up in Laurelhurst, but have lived in Happy Valley for the last 30 years. Both are great places to live; I miss the old Craftsman style homes of Laurelhurst and the shopping on Hawthorne, but Happy Valley is great for being close to Portland without the crime and crowds.
You're from California, aren't you? "The 84." "The 205." "The 217." We don't talk like that in Portland. That's the way people speak in Los Angeles. It's not I-26, it's US-26. It's not The 84. It's I-84. It's I-205. It's 217 (or maybe Oregon 217). Also, there are now SIX "quadrants. Yes, South is the newest, but you totally forgot about North. North is everything from Interstate Ave to the Willamette River. And I'm just going to stop here. You have just so, so many mistakes. You really don't know Portland.
The beauty of border towns is options. Portland vs. Vancouver? Nah. Portland with Vancouver. These two communities need each other. Their differences bolster the metro area. To anyone moving to this region, you've got extra options that can suit your needs. Great vid.
I moved to vancouver 8 months ago and I honestly hate it. I live in mill plane the crime is soo horrible and since the new homeless camp law passed in portland on July 1st has made the homeless issues soo much worse. Constant theft, and the walking dead everywhere. I pay $1800 a month for a 1 bedroom apartment and I'm just trying to save up to leave. I can't wait to move back to the tri cities this is literally the worst city I have ever lived in. The police don't even show up when you call them. And when you call expect to be put on hold....even when calling 911.
Excuse me, but it takes you 9:25 minutes to finally start talking about something important, everything before that, you're just redundant asking the same questions, you're talking a lot but not saying anything significant.... just babbling on.... Stop wasting the viewers time, and get to the point already!
Don’t believe anyone that says the schools are amazing. They are the small town country school system. If you want high end schools go to Camas or Salmon Creek. Seriously, my high school 30 years ago did more.
Informative video. Thanks. What do you think about Woodland? If you have a choice, would you choose Ridgefield or Woodland? Outdoor activities are very important. Commuting is not an issue.
Helpful video even as someone already living in Portland metro! I'm out in the Hillsboro suburbs, and looking to move into Portland proper since I want a more urban lifestyle. North, Northeast, and Southeast (but remaining west of 205) is the general area I've narrowed it down to I think. A while back I was considering near downtown Beaverton, but like you say there's not much home availability there.
