And, no one thanked the mk4 for for being over built and way ahead of its time... Bmw does it in todays technology... and its a different story... either way. B58 is a Great engine nonetheless
I’m a big fan of the 2jz. Check out the video I posted a month or 2 ago. One of the cleanest Supras I’ve ever seen. Makes over 1100hp, with ac, period correct sound system, and beautiful interior…. A real “street car” lol
The MKV Supra is the most misunderstood car in automotive history. I have a 2023 MKV and it’s so much fun. It was always gonna be hard following up the MKIV.
Going into this I was never big on them because I like the 2J but I gotta say they look really good and make power pretty well. 800+ just chilling is impressive. I come from the coyote world. I have boosted mustang gt and those motors hold power well but so does a b58. So it has my respect. The BMW thing doesn’t bother me, it works!
Yeah it was. Unfortunately this car was totaled last year in an intersection. Some guy ran a red light and plowed into the front end of it. My buddy wasn’t hurt just super pissed about the car.
@@dexlex2002 thank you. He’s a good dude. This car sounds so sick. I recently bought an audio recorder and mics for the engine bay and exhaust. I wanna do another video really capturing the sound.
6/10/24 I own and drive a 1990 Eagle Talon Black Cherry Base model with only 18,500 original miles on it, front wheel drive, 5 speed, 2.0 engine that at 34+ years I just replaced all 4 rotors & Pads. Talons been pretty much a garage queen most it life, No rust in very nice shape, but because of the hot and cold weather over the years I am in need of a replacement headline as the material has separated from the foam. The 1990 Talon came in 3 models, mine is just a 2WD, no air conditioning, roll up windows, no fog light, no rear window wiper, lower body molding same color as upper and different, radio basic AM/FM, cassette deck, Interior Med gray , solid color seats. Purchased New in 1990 so one owner so far, Runs well just had tune upper for my Summer driving.
@@shaneomatic9188 I have a 2013 GT s197. I miss her so much….sold her to sponsor some cement work in the back yard for daughter to run and play. It’s been like 4 years now. I was debating on a Vmp, Pro Charger, or a Paxton. I believe all 3 is great, because it’s runs on belt, and no lag time…instant juice 🤗. Keep us posted on how the Paxton is treating you,? I believe with stock internal…max boost is a 9…10 is pushing it. Just a pulley update I believe. You have all the requirements to hit 9-10lb. Have fun man, and continue to breaks them necks!!✌🏼
@@fatsmile77 yeah man you gotta do what you gotta do. I’m working on some videos now for it. Yeah I have to get a boost gauge in there but that psi is about right. It is on E85, and the 3.8 is still on there. I plan to swap to a 3.33 or 3.5 pulley. Not on this motor tho. This is a stock un opened gen 1. I’ve had a brand new gen 2 sitting on a stand for like 3 years. Once that goes in I’m gonna pulley down. I’ve been focusing on my Eagle talon at the moment trying to get that car squared away. I’d like the mustang to live comfortably around 800hp and I’d be happy. I have the fuel system for it and all the supporting mods to do it just gotta drop the gen 2 in first.
@@fatsmile77 if you were to do it again I’d get either a VMP gen2R ,a Paxton or I’ve heard rumors of possibly ESS making a kit for the s197….that’s not confirmed yet but they’re basically the leader in centrifugal blowers for s550. I really wanted one of those but I wasn’t gonna wait around.
3:38 That isn’t why at all. They were designed by Lotus but built by Mercury Marine. It’s because rookie murikans preferred off the line torque and didn’t want high RPM horsepower. They were just ignorant unfortunately.
@@shaneomatic9188 thats badazz. Im debating on buying one but I can’t find engine build videos. If I buy one I want to port heads, add bigger intake valves and add boost.
@@realshidd3062 you wanna find a Callaway or just a zr1 ? Or do you mean swapping a lt5 in a base c4 ? There’s a video linked in the short where we talk all about the car. He basically has all that done that you’re talking about minus the turbos. This is car is amazing and has a very cool story behind it. He’s had a couple callaways.
The converter is a Circle D 5c, I’m not sure what he’s launching at but the msd 2 step is being activated off a button instead of a clutch pedal like it would normally be in a mt82 car.
Right but i also have a 6r80 gen 1 with MSD 2-step wired to a toggle switch. 2-step wont activate until the set rpm range is met and in a manual would normally be able to push the clutch in and rev up to that rpm range then dump it and go in 1st gear. In an auto you cant rev up to the set rpm in 1st gear since you wouldn’t have a clutch. So how is he launching in a dig with a 6r80? My only guess is that he has a high stall converter so he’s able to hold the brake and gas enough to meet the rpm range then launch like normal?
@@legacyrice6876 Yeah a 5c is a high stall converter and He sets the 2 step up different rpm’s for different roads etc. His stalls really high so he sets the 2 step where he wants the car to launch, which is usually a lot lower than the converter will stall up to.
@@shaneomatic9188 I knew it! Thanks for givin me that info man, been looking into a converter for my 6r. Everyone keeps telling me it will wake the car up
@@jonathanwharton5837 oh nice! That’s badass man. Well I’m glad you got to see this video then. It’s in very good hands. Will has done a fantastic job with it. One of the most gangster street cars I’ve ever seen.
