#mustang #superchargers #paxton #boosted #s197 #coyote I put my Paxton Novi 2200 SL supercharger on my 2014 Mustang 5.0 S197. First startup, first drive. Lund Racing base 93 octane tune.
@@shaneomatic9188 I have a 2013 GT s197. I miss her so much….sold her to sponsor some cement work in the back yard for daughter to run and play. It’s been like 4 years now. I was debating on a Vmp, Pro Charger, or a Paxton. I believe all 3 is great, because it’s runs on belt, and no lag time…instant juice 🤗. Keep us posted on how the Paxton is treating you,? I believe with stock internal…max boost is a 9…10 is pushing it. Just a pulley update I believe. You have all the requirements to hit 9-10lb. Have fun man, and continue to breaks them necks!!✌🏼
@@fatsmile77 yeah man you gotta do what you gotta do. I’m working on some videos now for it. Yeah I have to get a boost gauge in there but that psi is about right. It is on E85, and the 3.8 is still on there. I plan to swap to a 3.33 or 3.5 pulley. Not on this motor tho. This is a stock un opened gen 1. I’ve had a brand new gen 2 sitting on a stand for like 3 years. Once that goes in I’m gonna pulley down. I’ve been focusing on my Eagle talon at the moment trying to get that car squared away. I’d like the mustang to live comfortably around 800hp and I’d be happy. I have the fuel system for it and all the supporting mods to do it just gotta drop the gen 2 in first.
@@fatsmile77 if you were to do it again I’d get either a VMP gen2R ,a Paxton or I’ve heard rumors of possibly ESS making a kit for the s197….that’s not confirmed yet but they’re basically the leader in centrifugal blowers for s550. I really wanted one of those but I wasn’t gonna wait around.
Thanks dude. Mine has around 80k miles I think. I have a brand new gen 2 coyote short block sitting in my garage tho. Lol So that will go in a little later on and we’ll pulley down. You may be alright with this setup on 93. 3.8 pulley might make around 580-600 hp. It all depends on your self control. Lol. I have the E85 tune I’m about to start the process just waiting on it to cool down a little. Been 100 + degrees for a month or 2 here.
Thanks man, I appreciate it. Yeah the only reason I went CJ originally is because I got a stupid deal on it. Used but never installed on eBay. I would not pay new prices for it. Not worth it unless you’re max effort n/a. So if you can shop around and find a cheap setup cool but yeah I’d go straight to boost if that’s you’re end goal. Wish they had a ESS kit already for s197 but I wasn’t gonna wait around.
@@SK_727 same bro. I recorded a 10r80 vortech s550 on my channel at around 850+. It was straight getting it! That’s what sold me to buy one after that video. And driving regular feels like a stock car if you disregard all the noises lol
I’m in Houston too. I feel your pain. Lol that’s why I haven’t switch to e85 yet. I have the tune but I’m waiting for it to cool down a bit to switch fuels. If you do get one just get a 160 thermostat and that’ll help out a bit.
@@cjcullar 2 constant, 1 on the Hobbs. Fueling is perfect. This is way over kill for my setup as it is right now. I put this fuel system on to plan for the future. You can get away with a BAP on 93 octane with a 3.8 pulley.
@@shaneomatic9188 that’s exactly what I planned to do on my set up, I’m knocking out the Ben calimer stage 2 trans and a man tic first, then perhaps a Gen 2 short block with a Paxton 2200, FIC 1000’s, BAP and to get a revision by Lund. Appreciate the insight !!! I’ll be watching brother !
@@cjcullar yes sir! Glad to help. I have a calimer mt82 as well but with a exedy Mach 600 and a lightened steel flywheel. It works well so far. If you need anything else let me know 👍
I would have had to do something but I ended up eliminating the tank because the sprayers were never on the car when I bought it. I assumed they put on the cowl hood and didn’t care to install them. Piping hits the tank. 🙄
@@CharlieDaMaster no I don’t daily it. lol I have another shit box and a truck I daily. I just clean it with some spray when it gets dirty 🤣 I used a chemical guys ceramic coating for windows on it too, Works pretty well. Plus it’s in the garage when I don’t drive it.
For tuning what device and what tuner do you have? I use an SCTx4 with PBD but I kinda wanna go to shoemaker and get an RTD before I boost. Is it worth it?
I’m tuned by Lund with the ngauge. Ngauge isn’t produced anymore but they have the LRX which seems to be very cool and similar to it. 93 and E85 tune. I stay on E85 tho. It’s been great with Lund and I’ve had zero issues.
If you can get tuned by Ken from PBD, he is better than Shoemaker. I’m running PBD tune with Rob tuning my car and before I was tuned by Ken specifically. And For my liking Ken is better and tune is smoother. Not sure if Ken tunes these days, they seem like they grew alot.
Thanks man! I’m gonna sell the lu47 injectors, pmas for sure. Idk about the manifold yet. Hit me up on IG if you’re interested. I got a link in the about section 👍👍
I bought it on American muscles website. I had another guy ask me that and I went to send him the link and they don’t carry it anymore. 🙄 but it was called “SR Performance Universal 16-Inch High Performance Slim Electric Radiator fan” hope that helps you out.
Total with shipping and tax I had to look it up. $6,959 to be exact. That came with the ID1050X injectors, base 3.8 pulley, it came with regular hose clamps instead of T bolt clamps (I had t bolt clamps already at the house, if you don’t have them I’d add that to the kit if I were you) I also got regular gears in the blower (no straight cut gears) it was from team Beefcake’s website.
I’m currently installing a motion raceworks. I’ll be posting an updated video on the car soon. In this video it just had jlt catch cans that were rigged up from the cobra jet set up just to get it running. Below is the current one I have. motionraceworks.com/products/32-100tsp-texas-speed-catch-can-kit
@@shaneomatic9188 got ya, Thanks. I’m using JPC filter for now but they are full, JPC for whatever reason don’t want to tell me what filters they are when I called and instead tried to sell me another kit with $20 off. GTFO. I’m either going to get oil cans or build my own filter setup and just replace filters every 6 months when doing oil changes.
@@user-sl6sq5we8o yeah screw all that shit, I’m just doing my own thing with what I have. My buddy runs the same one I have on his s197 and has zero issues. It’s just not a direct bolt on but it’s self explanatory.
@@shaneomatic9188 yeah these shops are out of control. Never buying anything else from JPC. They should have made filters replaceable and should not hide what filters they are.
