It was a quiet night, full of distant echos, and the sound of animals in the forest, and the loud rumble of CIF Airships flying overhead. It was August 25th, 432. Monarch looked up at sky from the mess that was his broken F\D-14. Him and Prez had been stranded on that open plain for an entire two days. Their food and water rations were half full, only letting them last a week. Monarch pondered into the sky above, wondering if there was some sort of value being the world's greatest pilot. Prez was still awake in her seat; she was just very tired. She glanced at him and said, "Hey Monarch, can I ask you a question?" "Sure, go ahead." Monarch said. It was more of a croak. Monarch was born a mute, so he primarily used ASL to communicate. He could say a couple sentences at a time, but after that, his throat started to hurt. "What do you care about the most, looking back on this contract?" Monarch signed *"The safety and happiness of my comrades, of course."* Prez looked back at him and said, "Does that Include me?" Monarch replied *"Of course, Remember what I promised to you at Prospero?"* Prez replied "Yea, you said you're not going to fly solo anymore, right?" Monarch signed *"That's right, because I care about you more than anyone else here."* Prez blushed and said, "Eve told me something about you a couple days ago." "Do you mind if I ask you?" Monarch nodded. "Do you... l-like me?" Monarch took off his helmet and stared at the girl. "Of course I do, who wouldn't." Monarch said. Monarch kissed Prez. She blushed intensely and smiled. The Two spent the rest of the night talking about life, their future, and well, whatever. This was just a description he gave me of The Battle of Presidia. I don't know what else, but It's damn true that the two are now dating. Heh, some things just never change. Thanks for the description old buddy and see ya soon. - Peter "Diplomat" Kennedy. P.S. Me and Eve are alive thank god.
Hi all, just some clarification for part of the propeller tuning: When I say the prop is "too heavy" or "too light" to stay at a certain RPM, this is a little misleading. What would have been correct to say is that the blades are generating too much or too little drag to allow the prop to get to the desired RPM. A prop's weight will only affect its angular acceleration. The original statement about weight in the video was made because the factors that affect prop weight also affect its blade drag. Sorry if this caused any confusion.
i need help, every prop i place keeps either being flat no matter what or turned so hard it wont propel anything and it keeps happening no matter what even when i use a stock propeller.
I wouldn't say it had "way more," the cut features didn't add much in their implemented states except for the VTOL parts (which will be returning next update) and the air race.
@@TheWanderer05 And high fidelity terrain, bombs, some oil rig mission and what looks to be rocket engines. honetly'd've bought the game right away then
Find the AreaData.txt file in the game's appdata/locallow directory. In there, you can copy and paste one of the existing ones. Be sure that the id is sequential from the ones that are already there. Also note that the coordinates in the file are offset by 90 degrees from the in-game coordinates. I'll make a tutorial on this shortly after the input system one because there's a project I've been working on that is relevant to custom airfields.
There are two possibilities here. The first is that you're experiencing crosswind (watch part 2 - intro to flying). The 2nd is that your gear legs are angled out too much, which can lead to some physics oddities due to the increased axial force required to keep the plane supported. Would recommend decreasing the gear angle to 40 degrees or less in that case.
That depends on what you see in the prop readout. If it's too far off from 5-8°, then you can usually start by adding/subtracting the difference between the number you have and the number you want.
Hi all, thanks again for your patience. I know this probably isn't a video that you expected, but seeing as how my first tutorial's footage was recorded in March 2023, there were a few things in the editor that were missing or out of date compared to what we have now, and I believe it was necessary to make this follow-up. The next tutorial video will be about the input system and custom inputs, with a few use cases as examples. I will also be putting out a few non-tutorial videos between tutorial videos, or coinciding with them. Thanks for reading.
I have a problem with my prop, it wants to bank to the side the engine and propeller turn. What do I do to solve it? I already tried with 2 propellers one in CCW and the other in CW, still banks AND FOR SOME REASON, DISCORD DOESN'T LET ME REJOIN TO THE FLYOUT DEV SERVER
If it's rolling regardless of the engine setup, it's likely that something else is causing it, such as the wings. What do the wings look like? Are they reverse-swept? Do they have anhedral instead of dihedral? Both of these contribute to roll instability.
The keybind for it is gone now that the 3D vertex editor has been implemented. At the bottom of your screen in the CSE select the "Vertex" mode and you will be able to move the vertices along all three axes.
Where did you get the other pilot figure/character from, the one piloting the older aircraft, I only have one pilot type under the sub menu "Cmd" ? ... great video by the way, thanks fort the help
Unfortunately, not at the moment. Sometime in the last few months, Stone did post a clip of something that might work like that, but we'll have to wait and see.
Yeah this video's a little dated. That feature isn't implemented anymore, and instead you need to use the Vertex mode (bottom of your screen) to move them in 3D. My next video will cover all of the new features the editor has gotten since this one.
I've watched this video countless times. It's been a week and I still haven't got one of my planes flying yet. It's going to happen. It's going to be ugly. It's not going to fly well. Yet I'm having a blast.
I'd assume grabbing a second gearbox and making the value negative, then clipping a second prop (with the counter-clockwise option enabled) into the first since you can't change the cone style all that much right now
@ikalev9538 No, same gearbox add a propeller and make it CCW or whatever is the opposite of your first, DO NOT add negative value, you will mess it all up.
The methods that @8Hornet and @maximpikalev9538 provided will both work. As for the prop hub style, you can make a fake one with fuselages set to zero detail strength. The plane at 14:36 does this (and also has contraprops).
@TheWanderer05 thank you, I'll for sure have some experimenting to do. I'm wanting to attempt the bomber from the "Dead Hand" animations. I've managed to build it and rebuild it 5 times in Simpleplanes
Is it possible for Mouse Aim to be more like War Thunders in the future where you can switch to it as a primary mode of flight and have more camera control like being able to look around instead of fixed position?
