One of us is retired, sort of, and the other works as an author (“SERVICE is a SUPERPOWER") and keynote speaker. We’re inspired by Ben and David's fabulous cruise videos @Cruisewith, and also the sweet, charming adventures of Charlie and Will @charlieandwillofficial. We hope you enjoy our adventures and tips from places like France, Disney parks, beach resorts, themed restaurants, movie conventions, Vegas and sometimes just a lark with our Havanese fur babies, Daphne and Bijou. i stumbled upon your channel and you do odd but good coverage of the ship; so much of the show. You're like Thurston Howell and Groucho Marx. How extraordinary! Confirmed that the theater lobby sucks as does the theater in the round concept. thanks
Wow! So happy I could find it. I honestly wasn’t sure if I’m still using the same royalty free music service as I was then. But here it is! It’s on ARTLIST, the song is called CASSEROLE and the “album” it’s on is called THE ORIGINAL ORCHESTRA: AN EVENING WITH ZIV MORAN. I really like the music on there by Ziv Moran and have used many of (his?) (their?) songs on other vlogs. Hope this helps. 😊

You two were great to watch! You seem like the perfect people to travel with - easy going and relaxed. My husband and I are the same type of tourists ... our vacations are rejuvenating, not exhausting. What time of year was this cruise? The weather seems sublime! Btw, you have a new subscriber!
David, thanks so much! We were on the cruise mid-May and the weather was indeed wonderful. I love the rejuvenation line! We like the idea of being somewhere and feeling the atmosphere not running around trying to see everything. But, to each his own. Thanks for the subscription!!!
My dad used to take us there all the time when I was a kid! Even though it's been 30 years, I still remember the Ritz Carlton Rancho Mirage like it was yesterday.
The corner magic carpet suites are my favorite but I would never book those rooms next to them, you can see right inside.Agree love Luigi, had him o the Beyond !
It really is a wonderful ship! We’ve been on the Ascent twice since the Apex, but we’re not sure that we don’t like the Apex better. Looking forward to trying the other Edge ships too.
HAHAHAHAHA! Bet it’d end up right back in the bowl. We were just on the Ascent for the second time and THE PLANT WAS IN THE BOWL! Don’t think I won’t be commenting on that when that Vlog drops. HAHAHAHAHA!
Other than the lovely balcony which is nit fun because of the magic carpet there is nothing extra about this room than standard .Slightly bigger here and there but as a seasoned cruiser I wouldn't pay a premium for it. ohI forgot you do get a big random bowl😂
HAHAHAHAHA! You know the best thing for us are the Retreat areas. Especially at Christmas when the ship was PACKED! Really nice for us to be able to find the quiet spaces to just hang. By the way thanks for watching. We really appreciate it. 😊
Absolutely. And we met them briefly when we got on the new Ascent. They are now on the new ship and they were handling our muster check in. They were both so nice and were thrilled that we’d seen them on the Apex. I mean, come on! How could you miss them. 😂
Doris is amazing. This is the best Ascent blog ever. No qualifiers. I’m doing the Med on this ship this summer and now I’m worried now about privacy, but oh well… Also, I don’t really like the ambiance in Luninae, or Blu either, prefer the MDRs esp Normandie. What do you think?

I will be on ascent in March and can’t wait to experience this beautiful ship. Appreciate your retreat part as we have a suite too and was excited to see it empty on sea days . Thanks for the kind words. It is truly a work in progress. We didn’t have the vaguest of ideas on how to do this. So it feels like two steps forward and one step back. But we keep trying to make them better. Thanks for sticking with us.
Another Hit...You had me with the music, brilliant. It set the tone for what appears to be a fab trip. I love the two of you bringing your Moms with you. They are both Dolls!!! So fun to see their reactions to everything. My Barry and I had that opportunity a few times, such memories are invaluable at a certain point if you know what I mean. Speaking of "Mean", I thought your review of the "Spectacular", I do love a spectical, started like trying to inform the wife that she is now a widow. You finally came clean and were properly bitchy in my opinion. The food looked lovely, but I would break out in hives if I had to be around that many people at Christmas. As you point out that was not a problem. Never felt crowded. We move slower and I am aware of many FB groups that complain about old folks slowing them down. No one wants that moniker. I am eager to see the next episode. I can organize a watch party. Love to all.
