While I work for IGN it should be noted that statements and opinions seen here are not IGN's. They're mine.
Nintendo can grow the fuck up. They have been around for generations and inspired creativity in generations. Lifelong nintendo fans have often begged nintendo to make several expansions on worlds and games that we grew up loving, nintendo has failed or just refused. Now that fans are making the games we want to see, nintendo has begun to attack the creativity they inspired in their own fans. Now i question all of my creativity and wonder if i should even continue the creativity that i enjoy. Nintendo can grow up and help nurture the creator that nintendo inspired
Braindead gamers will keep buying the next, new product, then be excited and eager to consume the next product. We got to this point because of this mentality, why does anyone think anyone but the sheep of humanity themselves can change this. You give Nintendo money, they win. 1000 people stops buying Nintendo games, the other 100,000 sheep will keep buying Nintendo games so why should Nintendo listen to the 1000 people?
A key part with the Shadow of Mordor Nemesis system is it was patented before the game came out I believe. Pokemon is trying to patent mechanics decades after they came out, and strangely depending on which patent is being sued over months after Palworld was released. Retroactively trying to sue for Patents over long existing mechanics seems wrong. But as the video mentioned, this is only in Japan right now and they heavily favor Nintendo. It would be like trying to get a ruling against Amazon in the US.
Cyberpunk devs, people who actually worked on that game said on release date that it needs like 2 more years... 2 years later cyberpunk is in amazing state... but who the fuck listens to devs if board and c-level have excel sheet to "green up"?
They are gonna loose what I notice when a company gets bigger than them they tend to bite. This patent lawsuit is unprofessional and seriously stupid I really dislike Nintendo now
I hope Nintendo will win. Idiots like you have no clue how patent, copywrite and IP protection actually work. You're hating on Nintendo just to parrot others, not because you understand what is happening on either side.
You want Nintendo to lose? Make a Huge Public Post calling out Nintendo and Calling for Everyone to Boycott all Nintendo Products. Make them Hurt in their Wallets. This Message can also be for Every Other Company and Industry too.
I hope Pocket Pair makes something similar to Kirby that way Nintendo can smarten up and accept that theirs scarifies that need to be made like focus more attention their on actual successful Ip's like their big 5-7 if you count Pikimin and Animal Crossing but yet can't give up on the dating sim that is endlessly struggling. Nintendo has to change it's attituded at some point they need to lose this law suit so they can finally listen and defend their fans.
On the capturing a creature thing what makes temtem not in trouble besides it being a card your throw not a ball. But it's still a capturing a creature and battling with it.
As much as I Love Nintendo and Pokemon but I will NOT GOING TO TOLERATE THEIR BULLYING TACTICS against small indie gaming companies like Pocketpair and Palworld and suing them for patent infringement, I've already downloaded Palworld on my PS5 to show some Love and support to Pocketpair.
Didn't this sort of toxic positivity thing happen during the last of us 2 development? I recal hearing how when they got some negative feedback from focus testing, they would just get rid of them. Doh!
I don't think the layoffs will stop until gaming starts making money again. Ubisoft pulling Assassin's Creed and Take Two still not able to confirm GTA6 will release in 2025 shows the investors are scared and if the bombs continue then half the industry will go down.
I'm not sure how I feel about this I just recently jumped back into Halo infinite the game looks and plays very well on Series X I'm not sure why they would choose to do this
Oh dear, this is the third video I've seen referencing the Nemesis system being protected by a patent where it cannot be used by other developers. This is not true. As with how patent infringement works, if developers are able to replicate the Nemesis system _without_ resorting to the same mechanics filed in the patent, or if they improve upon the original Nemesis system, to create their own, then the system is open for them to use. No idea why developers haven't used a Nemesis-style system since.
I think Sony overprice console and Games get ridiculous way too much will be End Playstation before company Declare bankruptcies End of the day when new console coming out November 7th No one buy PS5 Pro charge way too much like every Country just Disappointment how console going Expensive side sorry anyone buy it
Want to know the future,Destin? Saw a youtube vid the other day.About A.I.The guys where using a A.I to BUILD! in real time a doom level as the player, well, played! Complete with spawns, physics and all…..That.THAT! Is our future…..
The bigger issue is that there weren't even that many interested people during the free beta. I think the beta peaked at 2600 or so. That says there's no market even as a free to play game. This is a tax write-off, nothing more.
Sony and XBox are backing the developers of Palworld, so I doubt Nintendo's winning so easily. And, win or lose, this paints a VERY big target on Nintendo's back. some people are saying Bandai might be FIRST to try and sue them and steal some patents BACK.
12:34 Ark came out in 2015, and has a ball-like mechanic. Basically the same as PalWorld. Actually, a lot of PalWorld's mechanics are extremely similar to Ark. It could easily be considered an Ark Clone or Ark-Like. If you remove IP, Copyright, and Trademark, they're basically identical, or at least PalWorld would be like a modded Ark, turning off some features. Pocket Pear could go the whole "Reynolds Panflet" route, and use Ark as a "I didn't touch a thing from you. I was just copying Ark" if they wanted, and everyone would believe them. Ark with Pokemon. Unless you're suing for Copyright or Trademark, that's a fitting claim.
"Skeletor Reveals the PS5 Pro" sums up the whole reveal debacle perfectly. If you haven't seen it already, look it up 😂 *He-Man:* *_"Who asked for this?"_* *He-Man:* *_"Whereas the Disc Drive?"_* *Skeletor:* *_"We Don't Know!"_*
First of all, Nintendo lost some cases. Regarding Nemesis and catching an animal with a ball while cheering patents. None of this is a novelty and never should have been abused with patent system, never should have been a patent for idea to catch or tame an animal. You have a dog? Yeah, that's right ..very innovative of you. Ever caught a dog and said "good boy"? Also very innovative. In stone age people threw balls to animals to incapacitate them. We call this "throwing a stone to an animal". Very innovative idea right? Have you ever fought a bully at your school and after that he held grudge on you? Yup, he is your NEMESIS. Wow so innovative those f*** patents are. Basically most of these patents are to let big companies to bully smaller ones. That's it - free f*** economy am i right?
Any judge worth his grain of alt should throw this shit out. Nintendo only damages its own Reputation as a greedy Corporation who holds a MONOPOLY on gaming industry. If Nintendo wins this. Like Ubisoft I am done. No more buying their lame 1 note games that really haven't evolved in the last 20 years. Really wish people would sit down and realize that. Stories are bland, the ideas and mechanics behind their games are bland. Its like re releasing Bethesda's Skyrim over and over again with zero to little change. and in the end Nintendo Pokemon stole their own designs from original Dragon Quest but no one ever looks back on that either.
Well nintendo rip off baseball first because baseball players throw like that but they didn't see that coming what next they sue baseball players for throwing like that they ripped of baseball players
