We are Zarko and Tressa, retired “US Expats” living full time in Burgas, Bulgaria.
After retirement we chose to relocate to Burgas, a beautiful city on the Black Sea Coast. Here, we are living the European Lifestyle with parks, bike lanes, coffee shops, nice beach and wonderful people. This prime location, located close to Istanbul Turkey, allows us to easily travel to any European Destination as well as anywhere in the world.
We have a passion for travel to explore new cities and discover “off the beaten path” locations. Our desire to continuously learn about new cultures and experience new things takes us to near and far destinations.
The more we traveled we realized it was easy to forget the details of past destinations, so we took up photography and videography. We have a lot of information to share with other retired like-minded explorers. We enjoy comfortable accommodations, great food and a nice glass of wine.
Get out there are see the world. There is “no time to waste.”

Love the new video endings. Zarko, thank you for sharing. I have a question, as I know you have a lot of cameras but do you also have drones? Some of your shots (especially opening shots) are amazing. My husband and I are wondering if you use a specific camera, drone or outside footage of the port. They really enhance the experience and make us feel like we are traveling there too.

What a shame Dubrovnik is now so over-run - thankfully the city survived the war - hard to believe that is such recent history. It does look lovely - I think spring would be a better time to travel there. I loveed the sea organ, hearing the sounds of the ocean seened to produce a very harmonous feeling to the town a very beautiful coast with crystal clear aqua blue water and very interesting old town, a very beautiful town with may tours at a reasonable prices I loved hearing your life journey Zarko, so pleased your father choose life for you, I really love the way you film everything that makes your videos special to watch and the love you have for your wife
Thank you for letting us get to know you better. We were in Dubrovnik in mid May when cruising with Regent . We too refused to pay the 35. Euros to go on the wall. The old city was pretty good at. 9 a.m. to tour with few people , but by lunch we were ready to escape the crowds - my thought was what would it be like in June/July/August!!! We also went on a tuktuk taxi up to the top of the mountain where the cable car runs and what an amazing view from up there and seeing the old walled town .
Love how you totally ignored Zorka's rude comment "if you see any girls, let me know". If he was trying to be funny, HE WASN"T, and made no attempt to say it was a joke. Next time he does something like that, say "don't know why, they wouldn't be interested in you anyway" European men need a scolding....LOL

What a fascinating life you have led. Good for you that you followed your dream and started traveling when you were young. Too many of us (myself included) dream of adventures that we never dare to take. Thank you for sharing with us.
Thanks for sharing the highlight reel of your lives! Very interesting! Agree completely with the disappointment of beautiful areas becoming tourist traps. I guess there can be too much of a good thing when nobody wants to miss out on that good thing.
Thank you for sharing a bit about yourself. People’s stories are so interesting. My husband and I would go down to the Caribbean just to get some warmth and sunshine but not we are retired and seeing the world one trip at a time. We are off to the Baltic in September and visit family in Holland.

Thank you for sharing, Zarko. Your story was moving to me. I almost had an abortion with my 1st. They gave me a price. In the week it took me to get the $, the price doubled. I couldnt get more money. I told an adult at school I trusted, and she told the administration. My school kicked me out 3 months short of graduating, and before i even started showing. They told my family, and they kicked me out. I could only come home if i placed my son for adoption. (The adoption agency would place with a foster family since I was under age.) After being uable to get $ for the abortion, I opted to move in with the foster family. I'd seen how girls at my job were making out trying to raise their babies. I wanted better for him & me. Years later when I had another child, I became a stay at home mom. I tried to make up for giving up the 1st, by trying to do everything right with the 2nd. Any time i start to feel guilty about placing him up for adoption, i just remember how I almost lost him just trying to keep my job. The adoption agency required that I be in school or work. But my family took my car. So, I took the bus, train & i walked for a few miles to get to work. Then did it all in reverse on the way home. I almost lost him, and had very severe preeclampsia. My mom brought me home when she found out. Eclampsia can kill the mother. After all that, I felt he'd be better off with a mom & dad who were ready to be parents than with me. If we can put in request for what we are interested in hearing from Tressa, I'm curious about when and how you met. How long you've been married, etc. Of course, you guys know if there is a better story, but if she's not sure what to share, that's my suggestion.
