The outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic is having unprecedented impacts across the world: schools and universities are closing, GCSE and A-Level exams are cancelled - but that doesn’t mean education needs to stop.
So, we’ve decided to do something about it: welcome to The StudyTube Project!
We’ve all teamed up to try and bring calm in these times of high anxiety and stress. Each day for the foreseeable future, we’ll be taking it in turns to teach you something, or share an area of education we’re passionate about or specialize in. This is a channel to keep you busy, keep you learning or even just to give you somewhere to escape to! Any profits made from Adsense will go straight to charities helping fight COVID-19.
Let's come together as a community and support one another through this confusing time.
There will be a brand new video every day at 6pm, as well as regular content on our Instagram: @thestudytubeproject !
At 10:17 was it that the wife was addressed for invitations because “she” was the head of the house and domestic affairs, or she was addressed because the “he” was? It was hard to hear if it was “he” or “she.”
I just graduated with a degree in cyber security, but I feel like I’m having some conflicting interests into where I would like to go with my career from the paths of networking, security, and engineering even so this is helpful either way 👍🏾
I found this so fun, and really fascinating! I would love to see a video on whom it was proper to write to or receive letters from-that is, did the same rules apply for letter writing as the rules for whom you were allowed to talk to in person?
Juan Latino (born Juan de Sessa; Ethiopia c. 1518 - Granada, c. 1594/1597) was a Spanish professor of Ethiopian descent at the University of Granada during the sixteenth century. He could be considered the first African who studied at a European university and who reached a professorship on Grammar and Latin Language at the University of Granada.
Great video and I will persevere with your videos and I have subscribed but to me the music was like a voice competing with your voice. Then I decided, because I like your teaching style, to think of the music as the distractions of a noisy office and use it as a discipline/focus challenge!
I was always told never to write in red because it's rude. Would you use up both sides of a sheet of paper, or just write single-sided? I love the idea of sending or receiving letters in a scroll. I think that's what people did when envelopes were not around or too expensive.
The specification of black borders on letters of mourning rather than fancy paper is less to do with general trends than the content of the letter. Black meant bad news, usually a death in the family or something similar. Similarly, the use of black borders or seals in regular correspondence would have been improper. In fact I remember hearing about a letter from around this era where someone apologized for using black sealing wax in their letter because it was all they had to hand. I imagine the poor man who received this letter was none too pleased with the presentation.

Hello Jack, thank you for sharing!! This helps somewhat even though, I still have a hard time understanding Shakespeare's work!! First off, my professor is using an open online source and honestly, ebooks give me literal migraine headaches. Right now he wants us to read 32 pages of "Othello!!"🤦♀️ Can you give me any tips on how to get through this play any faster as I have an essay due by rhis weekend lol?
Here are my 3 favourite poems - 'Love In Their Little Veins Inspires' by Thomas Shadwell ( c.1642 - 1692 ) 'The Blind Boy' by Colley Cibber ( 1671 - 1757 ) 'Sonnet To England' by Alfred Austin ( 1835 - 1913 )
I notice you did not say you are legally required to register to vote so should be on the electoral rolls. On the form you can fill it in that you will be excused, not just delay it, just depending on how you fill in the answers. For those in jobs, as long as they are not exempt professions, the upside is your employer can not fire you if you are serving no matter how long the case is as that would be illegal. 3:13 that is bull. I am guessing you have not done jury duty, and being a solicitor means nothing crown court wise as solicitors are not in crown court. I was called up and served on a complicated case a while back now, however there were 50 of us who were called to enter the court and the judges clerk shuffled the name slips and called out a name, and after 14 the others were dismissed and went back the the jury pool. The a couple of days after the trial was started the judged asked if there as any problem that would affect our decision. If the 12 said no then the 2 subs were released and the jury was confirmed and we served. Neither the prosecution nor the defence had any say in the matter, this is not the US after all. What you have said about being a "member" of the jury applies too all those called up for the jury pool not just those who are member of an active trial. Ten days is not about how long trials last but how long the jury pools lasts so the pool you are in will last at most ten days. You think ten weeks is long, I was praying to all the divinities when I was called up that I would not serve as a jury member on a fraud or tax evasion case as I don't have a year or more of my life to spare. You missed out the judges summation. Theory has no relation to reality as proven I see. PS: It is 12, showing your lack of actual knowledge of how the crown court works, which is understandable.
I really wanted to get back into writing and letter writing but it's never really came up... I just don't know people interesting in things like I am to stick with it. lol
