Luv(sic) music always had a special place in my heart. It reminds me of the peaceful days where I used to listen to this a lot while drawing and sipping tea, when I didn't have a worry in the world. I would often read the comment section, and I remember someone making a comment describing each part being a different stage of love, the first being nervousness, the last being old age and dying etc.
So what they are actually doing is covering the original funk songs that were used in 90's hip hop. Not really the same thing. Nicely done, anyway. A band called Breakestra were doing something similar in L.A. a few years ago.
One time me and a friend were primitive camping along a trail in the woods by a lake. We had just finished setting everything up and processed our firewood. By then we were drunk on jager bombs and hungry af from hiking in our gear Then came a downpour. My ipod started playing this album and we spent all of the next 40 whatever minutes fighting like hell to get a fire started. Using every damn trick and tool we had. It wasn't going well. It came down to a piece of charcoal and 2 cotton balls soaked in petroleum jelly. Taking turns blowing through a telescoping bellows.. holding a tarp over ourselves and the weak fire.. peaking our heads out to breathe.. until that fire was stronger than the rain. With the wrong kind of smoke in our lungs, we hugged that shit out and celebrated that fire like Tom Hanks in Castaway. Then promptly grilled 4 half-pound locally raised hamburger patties and ate every damn bite. Best rap album. Best rain fire. Best burgers ever. The telescoping bellows is worth its weight in gold as far as im concerned. And so is learning the lesson that you need to buy a fucking backpacking stove 🤣🤣
