Had the honour of helping with this layout at the Keighley Model Railway Club open day back in march. Lovely little thing, _very_ well made. I'm making an end-to-end layout too - might magpie some ideas!
Hi John A great looking conversion there, it does make a difference, as I remember it, those coaches they were quite bright inside on thefew times I travelled on them. Thanks
Hi, nice engine. What kind of steam whistle do you use on your 4F? Is it the original 4F/Maxitrak whistle, or did you replace it? If it's a replacement whistle, when where did you get it? I'm building a 5" inch gauge steam engine, and i think a whistle like that could be perfect for my loco 😁
Thank you, as a novice I was afraid to mess with my 37, but after watching you I decided to have a go and it really was that simple thanks again for a very informative video.
Hi john, A quick question, Would you know how to turn up the Accurascale 37 volume CVs?,and a good sound level. Mine has just come back from Accurascale and is pretty quite. ATB Stuart
Hi John I still think a camera in the Grounded Van body would be good, it would give good views of the Tunnel entrance and a small view of the Engine shed. As for the new camera maybe put it in the Goods Shed over looking where the Class 08 is currently parked it could give views of the 2 sidings and the Bay platform. Thanks
How about a view of the buffer stop end of the station looking over the wall just beyond the goods yard, from the side, similar in approximate direction to the view that we get near the beginning of this video?
So many wonderful places that a camera could go. Mind you your existing camera's have pretty much covered the main views. What is the little camera that your using?
Why don't you give us a viaduct view? Meaning you place the camera on the top rim of the viaduct, and give us a view of steamies approaching/going away from it. Try that. It would be good to see Thomas approaching the viaduct.
Just about to leave a comment asking about your 4F, and what you've (had) done to it, because I'm considering getting one myself and thinking through what we might do with it (I was already thinking about coal rails), and hold the bus - are you also the chap who is going to be working on my little lad's 'Rheneas' at Digitrains?! 😲
Oh, I see@@johnjmc! I saw the OO9 'Alice' video and made the connection. I have one of those to do, at some point, too! When you say 're-done', have you started from scratch, or rebushed everything? Weighing up whether we would want the mechanical lubricator and/or an injector on it...
Sorry to hear that you are not well hope you get better soon. I always look forward to the Sunday evening chats and occasionally learn something from your live RU-vid videos. I also have the superb hornby sir nigel gresley and I am hoping that you will be able to clear some thing up for me, did your model come with etched nameplates? as mind didn't. Sorry to ask you this on this type of media.
