Like so much WWI and WWII "history" the truth has been buried in favor of a global agenda. Patton said it best "we fought the wrong enemy". The true enemy of the world was/is Bolshevism. The Communists terrorized the world for 50+ years after WWII ended. People are brainwashed. Especially Americans.
Komisch. Flieg kleine Me 109 ! Du bist eine Legende.
interesting he thought it was better than tempest. In Il-2 Sturmovik Tempest is the big bad killer to watch out for. While P47D is portrayed as a train locomotive engine with surfboards for wings that just sinks out of the sky.
The FW Ta 152 was the best design of Kurt Tank, and perhaps the best piston engine high altitude fighter of WW2 😊😊Tank ad Engineerr became a very prolific designer at Cordoba Military Aircraft facilities ,in my Country Argentina!!Very nice video,Greetings from an Argentine Senior Engineer!!
Eric Winkle ! Did not rate these models of the 190 that highly An the tempest was only a low altitude fighter, not the best of the allied fighters by any stretch
Hubert Lange, a Me 262 pilot, said: "the Messerschmitt Me 262's most dangerous opponent was the British Hawker Tempest - extremely fast at low altitudes, highly manoeuvrable and heavily armed."[65] and reschke shot down a tempest easy in low altitude ,how good was the ta 152? what winkle said is bullshit.
During ww-2 Hanna Reitsch, a female Luftwaffe fighter pilot who became Hitler’s private pilot flying Fieseler Fi-156 Storch. Hanna accompanied Hitler during his last days in a bunker in Berlin. Her Fi-156 was parked somewhere on the road near the bunker After Hitler and his newly wed Eva Braun committed suicide Hanna went out of the bunker and ran through Soviet soldiers toward her Fi-156 and successfully took off under heavy fire from Soviet soldiers who surrounded the bunker. Hanna survived the war and lived peacefully ever after.
I remember reading in a German War Diary, at wars end that after the Germans had handed over their planes to the British, the English Groupcommander wanted to prove that their Tempests were the better plane of the two. I can´t remember if it was a D9 or a Ta-152. Anyway, he had the German plane fueled and unarmed - just in case - and the German Staffelkommodore was to fly a mocked dogfight against him. How did it turn out? The Tempestpilot couldnt believe it, when the Focke Wulf turned inside of his circles, lining him up every time for the kill. So I just guess they had to admite who had the better plane on that day.
It was definitely D9. The TA 152 had a reduced roll rate due to the elongated wings . I have both the D9 and the 152 in 1/6 scale flying models and the difference between the 2 is very noticeable.
@@kyusha9323 Well, one has to bank to enter a turn (unless one is doing a flat turn using only the rudder - something which felt out of favour during WWI). If your enemy reverses than you also have to roll to reverse your turn, which lowers your effective turn rate (something the Fw-190A used to evade enemies who had lower roll rates but smaller turn circles)!
Echoing another comment made before mine, WHY NO ENGLISH SUBTITLES for this video? I would luv to hear what this German pilot has to say, yet I'm being denied 😒☹👎!
Interesting remarks re numbers. That's pretty much my experience from years and years of online MP flight-simming flying almost exclusively LW-planes. When you're seriously outnumbered, it doesn't really matter how good you are or how good your plane is. If you commit to the fight with anything but high speed dives/slashing attacks, you'll probably get shot down. Bleed off just a little too much E and one of these guys will latch onto you and kill you. Also interesting to hear his thoughts on the P-51's turn rate and initial turn vs sustained turns. I've yet to find a sim where a 190 (especially A-series 190s) can out-turn a P-51. Perhaps DCS models them like this, but I don't own the A-8 and haven't flown my D-9 in that game all that often.
