How do I make an advance reservation for another day?

The video says you can create a customized car ID in the app to make it easier to locate your ride. But then it doesn't say what/how that is used. Does it just label the car on the map in the app? Does it get shown on a screen on the car door somewhere? Does it show on the screen inside the car?

i am having trouble sorting out where the car is when it arrives.. What criteria does waymo used to determine a place to pickup passengers? Does it pull into metered spots? Or does it not pull into metered spots? does it putl into spots that have permit requirements? does it pull into red zones? does it pull along the side of driveways? I kow it dropped me off along a driveway, which is what Lyft driver has done. but Will it also pick me up at that location too? I guess these things will get sorted out. app told me my car was across the street and looked like a block away(well it didn't actually tell me it was across the street.. the find me arroow pointed in that direction and said the car was 130 feet away and as i walked across the street the number of feet got lower.. but when it said 30 feet.. i looked and could not see any waymo car. 30 feet is not very far. and i looked at all the cars along the sid of street and didn't see a waymo car.. wondering if it will pull into parking lots or alleys to pickup people or? This was my second attempt at a ride. My first attempt earlier in the day worked out great.. it picked me up.. there was empty space to pull over to park if needed and it drove smoothly to where i wanted to go and dropped me off at a driveway entrance to the building, which is what lyft drivers have done for that location).. but as I got closer.. it said I was 30 feet away.. I didn't see any Waymo car. sad and disappointed about my experience. I was standing in front of an open space for Lyft.. which i ultimately had to call.. i was really tired and needed to get home. I didn't want to walk anymore. And the app kept canceling my ride requests. I suppose that is because there was high demand.. but i wish it didn't make me keep re-entering the ride request again and again. I hope they iron out the bugs. It would have been handy if they had a thing on the app that could simulate that feature that cars have when you are looking for them in a large parking lot.. it will beep the horn and flash the lights to help you find the car.
