I paused the video while I record to save video duration the towels are in the washer for 5 minutes I think that's all they need. Thanks for the great comment. Tim
Using a wringer washer requires a lot of manual labour, is it any wonder our ancestors ran for the automatics as they aged. With your heart surgery also taking on a role, because it takes a year or so to recover. I was amazed how fast you bounced back when I saw your first video after your surgery.
I changed the way I fill and empty the machine no more bailing water that's quite a change glad I don't have to do it the hard way anymore. Thanks for the great comment 😃 Tim
I just got a machine Maytag n2l was transport on the side 😢 the oil leak out . What kind of oil I should use regular transmission oil for car I don’t want to lock in place I think was over filled with oil anyway because you can see at the top of wringler
The machine takes a 90 weight gear oil you can get it at Tractor supply it comes in a quart bottle. The oil probably leaked from the winger post these machines should not be transported on there side that will happen unless you taped the vent hole. Tim 😃
Enjoyed every second of it! Keep doing what you’re doing and the diehard wringer fans will come out to support you. Thanks for sharing have a great weekend!
@@timkessler4894 I think there is still a following for these machines and how they work. I know it can be discouraging at times but you make great content, so dont give up! I believe views are down all around on youtube because of the time of the year and we arent dealing with restrictions like we have been over the past few years. Summer is here and the majority of folks just want to be out and about enjoying the weather and back to living their lives as normal. They arent sitting around surfing youtube like they were in 20/21/22. I still am, but thats just me lol Keep at it my friend and thanks for sharing! (from another Tim!!)
@lookingback6314 Thanks so much for the great comment what you said makes sense I hope that's all it is. I like making these videos but it gets hard on me I'm not as young as I used to be. Thanks for the words of encouragement I really appreciate it. Tim😃
@@timkessler4894 Hang in there buddy do what you can when you can. Just keep at it. Remember just like these old machines, you rest you rust, never stop going!
@lookingback6314 Thanks for the great comment I will keep going I'm glad someone still shows interest in the videos. I just didn't think anyone cared about these machines anymore. I just love using mine. Thanks for letting me know 😃 Tim
I'm not sure maybe you can get one at Cottage Craft Works I thought I saw one there. I bought mine almost forty years ago so I don't think mine is available anymore. Tim
If it is burning and smoking it must be the motor the machine itself would not smoke or burn not in my experience with this machine. let me know sorry for your experience. Tim
Gosh I’d give anything to live back in the old days. I Know they had hard time but not the drama of today. I could tell you stories my mom and dad lived through. Wow. Today generation would never survive. 😢
No they wouldn't they don't have a clue what we went through young people are so entitled these days but I feel sorry for them it is going to be so hard for them these days. Thanks for the great comment something to think about. Tim🙂
No I don't use bluing I just use detergent I used bluing years ago I don't know if it is still available I never saw any. Thanks for the great comment. Tim😃
Hi Tim hope you are doing well i just Love your Videos showing us all about The Best Washing Machine ever Build And you use so wonderfully . I have a ? how long does it take to wash a load and does every clothing require a different time to wash like 5 or more pair of jeans how long will you keep it in . as washing sheets may take less time as the material is much thinner then jeans. just a ? i have i will love to own a Maytag as well . thnk u Tim for all your Uploads you sooth my soul watching the vintage art of using a Maytag it is a incredible washer they ways things used to be slower paste more hands on touching all the clothing you put in the washer .i wish we can all go back to a slower more peaceful time again and things like the Maytag washers where meant to last. Unbelievably Beautiful to look at the Maytage still alive after all these yrs it will out do any washer today and as we all can see it will out last any computer crap washer of today . Love it
These are the best machines. It takes about 10 minutes per load I have 8 loads per month. I love this machine it is so much fun to use it makes doing the laundry that much less of a chore and I love the sound of the machine. I run the load depending on how soiled the clothes are sheets and pillowcases take less time and towels too. Thanks for the great comment I hope you get a Maytag I know you will enjoy it as well. Tim😃😃
I'll bet it is that centering spring for the release bar it's not locking the tension bars out. You have to get a new centering spring check out my service manual under wringer cap maintenance there it shows you that spring. Hope it helps you. Tim
Thanks same to you. I love the jeans segment it's fun to watch them get thrown around. I'm getting by thanks for asking. Happy Easter 🐰 Thanks for the great comment. Tim😃
Tim, your interior paint job of your tub on your washer seems to be holding up great. I want to do mine. I also would like to do my GE wringer tub with a white enamel if possible. I guess years of use have left the enamel dull. When I saw the results you had with Rosie I was so impressed . She looks showroom new.
I was really happy how the paint job turned out and there are no scratches from use at all and the crown of the machine turned out great as well. I hope your's turns out as great as mine I would love to see it when you are finished with it. Thanks for the great comment. Tim😃
I'm from Minnesota originally I'll bet your glad winter is over. I hope you enjoy your machines in the nice weather. Are your machines like mine? Thanks for the great comment. Tim😃
Tim, you had gave me your phone number at one time, now I can't find it lol... I've got a gearbox locked up I think and was wanting to get your advice.. Can you give me your phone number again please..? Thank you
Tim, I’ve missed a couple of your videos along the way and just only saw about your surgery late last year. I’m sorry to hear that and hope you’re doing much better now. All the best to you.
Thank you it's been awhile since I heard from you hope everything is well with you. I have to make some life changes. I won't be able to wash outside anymore I can't lift the machine over the step anymore so sad. The best to you great to hear from you. Tim😃
Thanks for the video Tim, I hope all is well. My Aunts had a Kelvinator wringer, all had a different color agitator, black, blue and yellow. My mother' s was a GE wringer that had a gas powered motor converted to electric.
Thanks for the great comment. Maytag had red blue and black agitators I liked all the colors it had I like to mix them up when I use them. All is well for now. Thanks for asking. Tim 😃
Your recovery is great Tim, good to see you again. Thanks for the video, maybe Santa will bring me my very own wringer washer, have a Merry Christmas 🌲
That's right I couldn't believe how fast I healed up but I still have to watch my lifting so I don't have to bail water anymore that's a load of stuff. Thanks for your concern I really appreciate it. Tim😃
Amazing Tim you're able to do that so soon, I' m glad to see you doing so well. I had an echocardiogram done yesterday the new valve is working well. Take care & take it easy.
It was tough but I healed up nicely I hope the doctor gives me a good report. Thanks so much for the words of encouragement. I wasn't sure if I could go on with my channel. Thanks you. Tim 😃
I had a container but it fell over so I just the rest of it drain out and yes it was a mess I used a scraper to scrape it up and put it in that container and took it in for recycling. I hope I didn't cause any confusion. Tim😃
I continue to wait, to find a wringer washer myself, love your videos. I hope all goes well with your heart surgery. I had my aortic valve replaced in June. It's a slow healing process Tim have patience and do as they tell you to do. Wishing you wellness and keeping you in my prayers. God Bless.
Thank you so much for the words of encouragement I have been so worried about this but I will be glad when it is over. I will miss all you guys in my absence. God bless you. Tim 😃
I have yet to see anyone with these wringer washers use them right. You are supposed to drain the soapy water from the first wash, leave the clothes in the washer, you can pour a little cold water after it's mostly drained out to pre-rinse. Then fill the tub again with cold clean water, and run the agitator again to rinse the clothes. Then drain the water and put the now rinsed clothes through the wringer. I don't know where anyone got this idea of having additional buckets or containers to use for rinsing, it's so unnecessary and a waste of time. I have a new portable washing machine, I use the same concept: wash clothes, drain, fill tub again with clean water, run agitator, drain. Then take out: put in spinner.
I have been doing it like this for years, on the farm it was all we had. I do have a portable washer I think like your's I use that for small loads works great. I like taking the clothes and putting them in the spinner it's nice that way I don't have to drag the big machine out. Tim
It's been really rainy here but that's good we need the moisture and we had a train derailment here what a mess. Hope you are having a great summer and take care. Tim 😃
