I am an aspiring wood carver. The austere expressions on some of the carvings on other sites had me searching for happy countenances. I love this site! I just read the comments after watching this video. I am sorry to hear he has passed on. I wish to honor him by passing on his videos and teaching people about this creative activity and supportive community. I had never heard of a friendship cane. That's a great place to start. Thank you for posting this! Blessings, Health, Prosperity and Peace to you and yours and to all who read this! 😘👍😇💖
Just two more questions: When you talk about CCA carvers, what does that mean, and how does someone become one? Thank you in advance for your answers. Blessings!
I recently came across the whittling videos and fell in love with this relaxing, creative endeavor. Your video is the first I've seen where the faces are smiling. How do you carve laughing faces? Do you have any vids on this? Thank you for posting this! Blessings, Health, Prosperity and Peace to you and yours and to all who read this! 😘👍😇💖
We have the same dust collector and it works great. Not very loud. It also has two recessed holes in the top to accept a swing arm disk lamp. No clamp needed.
Dennis thanks for sharing all these videos they are very helpful. Can you tell me where you got this sharpener from? I have a woodcarving club in Haskel , NJ we have been around since 1983 and we never had a good sharpening system this one looks perfect.
Hi Dennis...are you still doing these type of things? I just saw a couple of your RU-vid videos but they were done several years ago. I am just getting started in whittling (I just retired) and want to do these kind of things. Suggestions on how I start?
Great vetoes, love how you keep in the back all your cravings we can see how the end product is going to look. As well other carving techniques will look like. Imp
Being a new carver I can’t thank you enough for doing this video. No Denis believe me you didn’t waste your time. That’s how new carvers learn. God Bless !
I’m learning, this video series is a great help. I like your straightforward approach and teaching skills. You should be proud of how you are helping the carving community. Thank you very much. I would really like to see a painting and finishing video.
