AMAZING. Love it so much. Such attention to detail and functionality. So well explained, never satisfied and always tinkering and perfecting Thank You for the in depth look at this BEAST.
Don't apologise for the gearbox mount. It took design and engineering to make it work and most people would be glad to have such a amazing setup. I personally love listening to you talking about the development of certain parts and the direction that you are willing to push things outside of the box. You are truly the definition of if you never try you never learn. Onwards and upwards Darren 👏
I am actually building an S14 with one of these engines. (3B currently) Started many years ago like you, lol. Absolutely love your build, great inspiration to get mine finished! Love seeing the progression on this though, Great work dude!
I would have to find the original order for the cams to give you specs and it was a long time ago... Basically it was the largest cam for a forced induction engine that cat cams made
Everyone else has their dream build in their head, but you've put it into action. There must be some quare stuff in the water in that part of Cork with these kinds of builds 🤔
I personally agree with sticking to the Audi 5 pot , kinda makes it more authentic even though it’s not yet making the power you want . Agree with the EGT sensors too and for what they cost it far outweighs an engine catastrophe. Maybe try mounting your alternator off the back of the gearbox or rear diff , quite a few race cars do that and maybe reduce the rpm of the alternator too . The colour scheme and graphics suit it very well . Just a quick technical question on drift regs .. I’m building an E36 GTR for racing but may do a drift spec one too , do the regs permit double wishbone conversion on the front , instead of Mcphearson struts? ( shock mounting on the bottom arm and original inner wing location ) . Cheers D .
Thank you, Unfortunately we spend a lot of time idling between runs so a drivetrain mounted alternator i dont think is a great idea for us as i like to see that solid 14v all the time 99% of drift series do not allow you to change the original suspension design
My favourite car was meant to get a spin but the next day the rain came and no wipers I don't like Audis but this one I do it's the only one I like what a car
Appreciate these videos, you must be busy with work and family but still find time to entertain us and share knowledge and skills….. nice one for all the hard work 💪🏼
You've built the German(S1), Frenchie(205) and the Jap(Corolla), I'd love to see an off the wall Italian build in the future. Something like a 131 mirafiori, or an Alfa 75 or a GroupD take on one of those Lancia Stratos kit cars.
Analog. Can’t beat it . Do a search for Andy Burton and you should find his Alfa Ferrari and his Peugeot/ DTM powered rally car from the old BTRDA days . ❤😉
Cool car will be getting space frame in future .. I am building a hot rod spec car for sprint what is needed for to enter haven't found where to look for info
Depends on who is running the Sprint. If its a hot rod club then nothing is needed really. If its a MSA Regs event then you need windows i think and other stuff to pass, basically need to be rally car spec safety wise
@@Group-D right I be looking to just keep to hot spec cause I have all things from doing hot rod I just have to look out for them event when car ready sound 👍
I work on a few newer SHP spacefame cars, 2019 ish and there still sort of the same. Double wishbone in the front, live axle , watts link chassis mounted and 10" slicks
If i am not mistaken Α Peugeot kit 2.0 rally class amazing . It sounds sick one of the best sounding high reving 4 bangers jn rally other than Subaru of course
At the start I thought you were a fool until you said you will be racing and having fun with your dad and I wish I could have with my dad and I will with my sons well done
