If you could choose between having a dusty car sitting up on a container or having a lump of money you can put into doing some mad stuff, i know what i'd choose. Ireland's not the kind of country that's suited to keeping rare cars clean.
You absolutely made the right decision. I love twin cams but at the end of the day it’s just a trim package that makes them crazy money and it’s just sitting there. So much better to have money to push you passion while giving that to someone that will love it for what it is rather than it collecting dust. Also fully agree with driving the shit out of cars 😂
Sad to see it go but can fully appreciate why you’ve made the decision, look forward to following the growth of your business and seeing more wild builds 👌🏼
Im older than you, always been cars and motorsport fanatic, i do plenty of grassrots stuff. I keep few nice JDM cars myself... those AE86 we're exception, i could not care less about them... So much more excited for you to putting money into proper race-car stuff !
I feel the pain in your voice . Theres been cars over the years iv sold and regret . An evo3 for 2k . An r32 gtt for 4k and a s14a for 5.5k just a couple and now iv nothing . If i had just held them imstead of living in the now i could possibly have my dream car right now . But life is good im healthy and im happy ❤
Pretty limmited on what your allowed to do with a car that was homolgated in rally, not allowed to venture much outside of what the manufacturer did, thats why andy burton isnt allowed to compete in the 306 anymore
Very true. The rules are tight but i will push our rally car to be as different as i can its a very important part for me. We can also approach the sane outcome from different angles
5:16 yes they became too precious for our own good, every body damage takes out half the value out of it. Same is happening to BMW M cars E30, E36, E46.
Hello Group-D. I'm wondering where can i search for a job in Ireland as a car mechanic? Which place is could to live there? What are the pros and cons of living in ireland? Sorry for the off topic. I really like the work you do that's why i'm asking you.
Disclosure. Comment before I watched the full thing If the car is sitting gathering dust it's not getting used. If it's not getting used it's not a car so your not enjoying it. If your not enjoying it why have it? Onto better things that you'll enjoy
Seeing your 86 on it's most extreme diet was a great sight. Love when people go full tryhard on adding lightness w/ 4ag powerplant. True to the 86 spirit.
At the start I thought you were a fool until you said you will be racing and having fun with your dad and I wish I could have with my dad and I will with my sons well done
Dam lad I get your point that its only gona cost you money if you dont sell it but You should of restored it on the channel it would of got great veiws. And then it would of made you maybe more money than you got paid for it over the next 10 years of people watching it on youtube. But maybe in 10 years ypur youtube will make you enough that you can buy another one 🎉💯🤙👌
I don't think Darren really cares about RU-vid all that much or at least not as much as other 'youtubers' in a way he'll want to make sure he has the right content to buy a 50k plus corolla in 10 years. Better off cashing in and enjoying cars in the way he wants while he still can. Pottering around in a crappy slow albeit 'concours' car in your old age to Cars and Cocks meets on a Sunday morning isn't something that would appeal to me either 😂
@@Group-D Uuh The one with The psp logo on its side 🤌 . A nother 86 i always loved is the purplel one with the equipt 01 can’t remember the driver tho awesome car tho.
The more I thought about it I'm glad it's being restored and I know your builds are cool asf just would of been cool to see you do it keep up the good work
If that car wasn't sold to MR X the guy who juiceboxforyou went too ill be furious as i know that man himself would be the ultimate owner for it as his collection is incredible & the work he does on his motors.
