Can’t recommend using pine. Edge grain pine is too inconsistent across the grain pattern in hardness. I can guarantee that after hand sanding the surface it was not flat across the top. If you are going to the trouble of making a solid board work bench use a hardwood like maple.
46:24 Great job. Bonnie is in tune and ready for his solo. let's close him up. simply replace both eyes in the order that you removed them, and close up the face plate. and we'll call it a day
Great Video!! That sheath is amazing!! I also have a knife I would like to work on. It has a stacked leather handle that is really dark. I'd like to sand it down and seal it with something but I don't know what to apply to protect the leather. Did you just use beeswax on this? I'd like a hardened shine on the handle and was curious what you would recomend. Thanks!
spending all that time and effort on a pine work bench, that will be dinged/dented/scarred the first time you set a tool on it. and drilling the top solid to the base... not allowing for wood movement. eh. it was a pretty video. not great from a wood working perspective
I'm trying to learn off your video. Cause I got a 1958 zip homelight. Turn on learn how to uh. Just justir Spring and trust full back up again. It's not gonna try your idea. See if it works on the old 58 zip. I'm pretty sure all of the mid-sixties in out early. You know, chainsaws from the early mid. 50s, they still had that problem. That's what I'm facing right now, man. I haven't seen problem as you are.
