Hey Anthony! Great video as always, thanks! Which Phantom LUTS are you using for your family videos at the beach as well as the main video? I bought them but I haven’t had good results, must be me
Congratulations on finding the right tool for your needs. How crazy is it that the S35 sensor of the C70 is forcing the FX6 to be manipulated to look more like the C70. That extra effort in practical terms really does eat into profits so hopefully you sort that out and get to keep more in your pocket. thanks for the video.
With the focus peaking the 6K is a dream to pull focus with. I am constantly amazed at how scared folk are of putting their hand on the lens. And it is a ton of fun to make pictures this way. The biggest point I think that is missed is that a hybrid camera while being technically capable of doing as good a job just has too much stuff in the way. It’s a design problem. The BM is designed so every control is at hand and predictable so it flows with your shoot. It makes a huge difference in usable footage.
Agreed, I don't see the point to spending money on lenses to get a specific soft look when that automatically locks your raw video into that softness as a starting point.
I think the issue with the internal NDs is that it's more difficult to do those with a mirrorless mount. It's not impossible, but much more difficult to do when you have much less space between the back of the lens and the sensor. If you look at their cameras with internal ND its the Pocket 6K Pro and Ursa 12Ks. What are the mount options available in those? PL, EF, and LPL which have flange distances of 52mm, 40mm, 44mm respectively. The L mount has a flange distance of just 20mm and M43 is 19.25mm. They already have to fit an OLPF there so squeezing an ND wheel in there is complicated.
When you use the phase "the images are usable" this makes you think that the footage that this lens deliver is noy good, Is just barely good to not thow it the garbage, and can use. This is not fine at all if the intention is talk good about this lenses.
So I’m going down the rabbit hole searching for the best option for anamorphic look and it seems that adapters are the closest thing to it, especially this brand. So now I’m searching this brand and would like to pull the trigger on it. But I can’t help to notice that every video review I see, every one is using an old vintage lense weather is contax zeiss, leica r lenses or some other old vintage lense. Why? Can it not fit a normal prime lense or for instance in my case a 7Artisan lense? I would hate to buy this and then needing to buy more lenses to work with it, as it will defeat the purpose of it. I hope this reaches you 😊
I currently shoot talking head videos in my indoor studio with my FX3, but I want to upgrade. Should I get the FX6 or the C70? I care mostly about image quality, image sharpness, clean shadows with no noise since I shoot in a dark moody background and autofocus
How did u balance it with the 24-70? I have a Canon R6MKII and the RF 24-70 and found difficulty balancing in it. I purchased the RF 50mm and that works.
The Panasonic S9 is not a camera for filmmakers, or professional contrent creators, or photographers. It is for a niche category of intermediate creators that won't fast results but with good quality without messing with kodex and a enormous file sizes. and for that, in my opinion, the S5 with its full frame sensor kind of answered that very well.
I used the fx3 and I own the s52x and I think the LUMIX has better color it’s easier to use it took me a day to learn the setin the LUMIX vs fx3 the only down sides I say about lumix is the rolling shutter issue and the 4k crop at 60
Great video, very informative. The only question I have is which Phantom lut are you using in those photos from Disney? I bought the luts but non of them look like the one you are using. Thank you!
To late, I just bought the iix.. if I saw this video earlier I would've bought the ii to be honest on the other hand I like to experiment with new things
Why is the ssd a problem? most people rig out there camera regardless so using a shoe doesn’t really matter and why spend more money on a smaller sd card when you can have a faster work flow with the ssd plug and play for less but with more storage. No brainer for me. Most people will need a monitor/ext recorder. I actually picked up a 4tb for storage. So let’s also forget about the sick blacked out body. 😂 well at least your footage looked good.
I understand your point and “most people” actually do not rig out their cameras. I prefer to not have more cabling, points of failure and technically SSDs aren’t cheaper if you’re looking at the size of files needed vs the storage you’re getting. What you’ll be recording to an sd card will be much smaller than the ssd stuff and if you’re just recording all I to an ssd, it’s more of a reason to keep it simple and not complicate things for little to no benefit
@AnthonyRodriguezz no but I've seen the reviews did great in day with great details and also extremely little to no lens flare which is rare for a pancake lens
have looked at the s9 but seems a bit more for video enthusiasts. not sure about the material used? aluminium? plastic? had the Fujifilm x100vi when it launched but returned it as felt cheap? the richo gr3 x hdf is on my list though. I've heard this is excellent for photography
I've been to a Durham bulls game in the box. Free food and drinks. Great time. I have said under some creators channels that its hard to not be a shill when they are paying you, right ? I mean yes be honest but, I feel if you agree to a sponsored deal with an actual brand that it's one you are already positive about, you already believe in to some point . Like my videos on fhe cameras I talk about , or the audio gear I review. You can share your critiques to where you don't hurt your relationship but, you are fair. Now, like insta360 you can't ask people to hide information . That's really bad . Always positive reviews and outlooks can feel disingenuous. I dont like the s9 , I've vocalized that on a lot of reviews especially when people harped on so many camera with less limitations than that one. Like oh wow it has a LUT button so let's over look all the limitations for that feature . People were really mad that I called it trash and a cash grab and they just want to get some of the x100vi crowd. I've watched camera reviews where the vibe was way off , for example this guy looked disgusted by the camera because it was an APS-C and he literally said he would never buy it because of that. The R7 is excellent for what it is and can keep up with most full frame cameras. Also, in that review it felt lackluster . So, why even do the review ? That was horrible and I unsubscribed after that. He wasn't the only one.
I have the sonyzve1 looking for a second camera. Mainly a content creator shooting talking heads and lifestyle footage. Is the 5ii worth it to add on. Or should I add another Sony camera to not worry about buying more lenses
thank you so much for this video and the chat between you guys,.. ive watched a few videos but pulled the trigger after watching this one,.. just used your code btw, so I hope it works out on your end, cheers.
Have you had issues with the new ibis when panning. I have had several times where when panning (slow) the camera kind of catches up and does a sudden move. I was using it combined with the 24-105 f4 lens with OIS on as well. Thanks again, good channel
Babymoon loved it but its more like baby BOOM hahahah Loved the vintage lenses vid and the vintage lenses it self you missed on the Nikkors they are awesome and yeah I missed on the Zeiss buy some and try them always Love take care
