Excuse me sir. I am a Chinese factory that makes off-road vehicle, luggage rack, tray, and climbing board. I saw you using these products. Is there any opportunity for cooperation? Can you leave me your contact information?
Can you show the roof rack with the panoramic sunroof from the inside looking up? Without boxes preferably too? Would be curious how it looks and functions when I’m not needing to pack the roof rack for daily driving and not on a trip. 21:40
I greatly appreciate your videos for their excellent scenery, cinematography, music, storyline, and narration. However, I believe that a more detailed geographic information would further enhance the viewing experience. For instance, displaying a map before each segment or even superimposing it on the screen would allow viewers to better follow the story. I'm particularly inspired by your videos and plan to embark on a similar journey to Alaska. I would be delighted if you provided an opportunity to correlate each beautiful scenery with its corresponding location on a map.
Over-landers are gear sluts, they will shell out for the latest awesome accessory or bolt on. You absolutely do not need to buy god tier gear to go out and have fun. Spend the money on gas and going out and having a good time. The mid tier or even bottom of the barrel tier gear is often good enough. Spend money on good tires, suspension, lockers but only if you need them; Not on looks and posing as an over-lander. The best recovery kit you can have is a second vehicle in your party. Going alone is ok but always more risky. Final hot take, you never need max tracks or sand ladders if you have proper tires properly deflated and a vehicle that doesn't weigh 7000lbs. Stop building overweight over landing vehicles for the mall parking lot shows.
I love your videos. I don’t mind you doing short ones but why can’t you put the blowing camera the right way around in the stupid upright format? I’m sorry I have to remove you from my followed RU-vidrs like all the others that have started doing this. I’ve just removed them and cannot be bothered watching any more. The content is stupidity and frustrating.
Damn Rob , if I only had my rig done I’d join you and whoever else showed up in a heartbeat. My wife & I saw your rig at Flagstaff 2 weeks ago & I met Marco , Shean , and Matt from Ozark adventure, but we didn’t see you in person there. I’m in process of building up my ‘02 GMC Sierra Crewcab 2500 Duramax truck into a full size beast & am about 1/2 way there . I’m retiring from my job either later this year or for certain in April of next year & I plan on some major travels with like minded people like yourself . Crossing my fingers . Here’s hoping you all have a blast , and stay safe 😎👍. We scored some nice stuff at Expo this year ,& will definitely be going again next year & camp as well . Looking forward to seeing your adventures.
Hopefully you had a satellite messenger and tracker unit with you at all times and checked in with someone every day just in case something happened authorities could follow up and look into your situation. Thinking of the John Gerrish, Ellen Chung incident.
@@RevereOverland you're right! I don't know why I think I read somewhere else that it was 33. But other sources claim a 33 can fit in spare tire deflated . Worth trying .
Love these videos that try to say what to buy, yours is not too bad, spend what you want and if you are happy with the results then it a win, don't be sucked in to buying expensive accessories just to look the part or because the You Tube crown promotes the heck out of them. Most of these "Overlander" have equipment better than the military and do not need it.
The Keweenaw and Copper Harbor holds a special place in my heart but when it comes to legal off-roading with a 4x4 it’s pretty unfriendly you’ll go through it pretty quickly. Like Northern Wisconsin it holds tons of rugged offroading trails only for snowmobiles, 4 wheelers, motorcycles and side by sides. I’ve pretty much seen it all and have to move west with my travels.
for anyone thats interested, its almost $1,500. close to the price. close to the price of my hard top add on lol. and it doesnt even have slides!!!!!!! people... cutting out the plywood does not save you much weight at all. just do this yourself with wood glue. Literally a single mom without any tools could buy some tools and do this. It wont look great but it would do the EXACT same job.
Of course you can make it cheaper yourself… when you’re paying someone else to make something, it’s going to cost more. You’re also paying for it to be shipped to your door in that price. That being said, you won’t make it fit this well (with the sides it has?) without an $8,000 scanner and some serious CAD programming. You also won’t get close to this light without importing the same plywood, which has a minimum order of thousands of dollars, and a CNC (which cost $40,000) or a lot of time routing. Also don’t just use wood glue. That’s just asking for it to fall apart.
Not sure I want to buy from a company rep that doesn't know the difference between Lithium Polymer and Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries. If he gives you the wrong charger, is he going to pay for the damaged battery???
@@chrisw1462 ok, so you don't know what you're talking about. A quick Google search will help you out. If you don't feel like checking, here's a quick summary: LiFePO4 has a polymer electrolyte, and there are 5 other commonly used lithium polymer battery chemistries, including the lithium NMC that you'd find in something like a Jackery. You can quit freaking out though, because he only uses LiFePO4, which is what the vehicle chargers they use are designed for.
I'm anxious to follow your modification journey! I have a 2017 that's identical to yours and totally stock. I'm not a mechanic so I'll be glad to see what you do with yours to make it more off road worthy. We love your videos, keep up the good work! PS: we expect that you will make many trips out here to Utah :)
Do you have a preference on brand of tire? So many quality options out there but since you’ve been doing this for a while, your opinion would be of great value! Thanks for the video.
