New York Metal Detecting - We are a husband and wife metal detecting team located in upstate NY. We started our RU-vid channel late 2016. We are involved in coin, relic, and jewelry detecting. All of our videos will take place in New York State unless otherwise noted in the individual video's title or description. We are also actively involved in assisting people who have lost their jewelry. If you have lost a ring or any other piece of jewelry, please feel free to contact us. Even if we can't personally travel to your location to assist you with finding your lost jewelry, we will find someone or recommend someone to you. We are available for all seasons and able to metal detect land, beach, snow, or water.

Look on line Guy sell s rods Steve detecting rods I think. You can even get it longer then stock. Which I did but don’t think u really need it. But he has all lengths He also might advertise on the forums Also there a guy on the island. I think he on the Minelab dealer website. Not a big dealer but he nice guy
I actually sold two metal detectors to offset the cost for the Manticore. I hate selling any metal detectors but they were backups to the backup and just collecting dust.
Technically isn't illegal to keep but if NY State wanted to confiscate it, they can legally do so. The law is considered the old King's Law and what is found in the ground of NY state belongs to the state. This goes for any minerals in ground in New York State. Not just gold. There are mineral mines through out NY state and the state hasn't confiscated it. Either way, if for some reason you do find lots of gold in NY State, I wouldn't take the chance of letting anyone know where you found it.
what town is this? I have property in Fleischmanns ny-i have a whites mx7-finds tiny staples and horse shoes and foil at crazy depths-never found any coins but I only went out 5 or 6 times-
Thanks for the comment. I am not far from you. I am located in Catskill. You should easily find coins with that detector. That's a good detector. Try detecting further away from the barn or house to find some other targets.

Does this have the 200 GPH flow rate submersible pump? Do you think it's overkill? How often do you have the pump valve setting opened to max AND the flow control valve opened to max? I'll bet never. Nice setup btw.

Hey you think there is gold in Sullivan county ny? Near the Delaware river. I’m actually going to go to a stream near Hortonville New York kind of where I grew up not that town but near there there’s a lot of bands in the river and it runs pretty fast every time it rains plus it’s good places to suck the cracked out between the rocks but I’ve watched one video a top-five from somebody that did say the rise high and low deposits of gold in Sullivan County or near the Catskills
Swing the coil off target and see the change keeping it under trying to cherry 🍒 pick with the tpro always sounds same threw out junke and good finds mine will give u that high beep on good along with junk grunt then 🍒 pick to see if nail or foil next to good target it can get confusing and swing speed does matter but great detector

It depends on where you want to metal detect. In most cases, no you don't need one. If you want to detect in parks or beaches in or near New York City, then yes you will need to get a permit. If you want to metal detect in state parks then you will most likely need one. Hope this info helps you.

Thank you for the comment. I have yet to find any gold here in NY. I go to Vermont, New Hampshire, or Maine for gold prospecting here in the Northeast.
