That was a fun scene in the movie. It was very immersive like you were actually there. I could feel the warm sun on my face. Timmy looked so handsome in that scene.
The fact that he says it over and over again.. “Because I wanted you to know, because I wanted you to know..”. The joy of confessing I guess. Like he’s confessing to him first, then he confesses to himself and he’s trying to resonate with it. Then he’s so relieved he just keeps enjoying it. That’s what I felt..
All the crews in this film are just perfect. I love the intonation of Oliver's phrase, "Is there anything you don't know?", and elio's "I wanted you to know". Ah! the piano music is just...beautiful.
The very best thing about this scene is when Oliver has the audacity to ask, "What things that matter?" and then immediately walks off to the right, because he knows that Elio is going to answer -- and answer truthfully -- and he's not entirely certain he'll like the answer. Because, of course he already knows what it is. And Elio knows that he knows.
I can’t listen to it without crying.
