Hi, hello, my name is Kat and I love making videos, especially about my three lop buns, Ash, Milky and Cookie. I share my experiences and things I've learnt about bunnies along the way. By no means am I an expert, or a vet so please seek professional advice from your local rabbit vet if you have any questions xx.

I lost my rabbit Ella yesterday (20th September, 2024). She was barely a year and 7 months old. I feel a lot of guilt and pain. All I can think about is the little decisions I could have made to make the day turn out any different. It still feels surreal waking up and knowing she'd not be there. I miss you Ella, fly high ❤.
My partner and I got bunnies a few weeks ago and unfortunately we managed to adopt them during their molt- which meant we had to brush them! Thankfully one of the girls has warmed up to me enough that I can brush her, I have ro take a slightly different approach because they’re such nervous girls, but the other, she holds a grudge! She growls, she bashes the brush. And she’s the one who needs it the most because she doesn’t groom her sister much, she begs her sister to groom her 🥲 so her sisters getting double fluffed
I use vinegar for pee. Works perfect. Also, I've noticed, the more I clean the cleanier they tend to be. But I'm sure I'll always find some poop and pee here and there. It doesn't bother me because the poop doesn't smell and can be used for gardening, there are robot cleaners, which make a huge difference and with easy cleaning surfaces it's not a big deal. If people can't stand it, they'll stop visiting, I prefer my bunnies. Maybe I'll find myself farmer friends 🥰
I definitely took notes from this video and can say I successfully clipped my bunny's nails 😌 I was so close to making a vet appointment too hahah thank you ✨
Congrats, we're about to attempt clipping our bunnies nails but been getting anxious, nearly throwing in the towel and making a vet app. This comment gave me the extra confidence push I needed... We were even thinking about using gloves to protect our arms but feel the lil ones won't appreciate it so wish my arms luck 👀
I lost 2 rabbits my first baby was with us for a couple of months she had a seizure and went into shock and passed her death affected me really badly and i didn’t want to feel the pain anymore so we got another baby she was only with us for two months she had gi stasis took her to the vet started up for nights she didn’t get better she didn’t want to move anymore and sadly in my arms she passed
This is such great advice, thank you! My bunnies have open litter boxes with hay racks but i was thinking recently about creating enclosures for them, to sort of hide them for when mates come round...... but now i've seen this video i'm definitely sticking with open, large litter trays! So much money wasted on buying stuff because i've thought they need it and found out they don't! So thanks for saving me money! :)
I lost my bunny this morning and despite all my actions trying to persuade my mum to keep him inside he passed in his hutch . I tried my best to do everything I could and to give him as many toys and as much love as he could have and yesterday i took him inside and he just laid on my lap and fell asleep so unbothered by all the noises around him and when I put him in his hutch he went straight to his litter box and rested his head on the edge and I tried to give him food but he ignored it and I kissed him goodnight and said I love you donkey you’ll be ok tommorow goodnight and well he was not okay and I just I’m still crying because I loved him so much and I gave him the most terrible life ever and ugh i just hate myself for giving up on him
We've bonded two females, female with a male but now we have two males and it's been over a month and they still aren't boned. We've been debating whether to get a female rabbit, do you think that would help or be worse?
One of my friends has a deaf rabbit. He’s a holland lop, so the natural kinks in the ear canals apparently made him deaf after a year or two. Unfortunately that means he’s always on alert, so he’ll kick around like crazy! He gets trimmed by a professional now and even they said he’s one of the most difficult rabbits to keep still 💔
Thank you for mentioning how the bonding needs to be lead by rabbits! It took us around 4 months to bond our pair. We adopted a rabbit from a rescue for our territorial single free roam bunny and she hated the whole process, going from being free roam to being a small square pen with a stranger for some hours on end made her very annoyed at the rabbit and whenever it came to the bonding time she would be difficult to catch etc. We went against traditional recommendations and expanded the pen to half a room and then a whole room and it made her waaay less aggressive. There were still fights but less frequent and easier to break up. I think the more popular advice actually works for very few people to be honest! And it's also why I think so many rabbit owners are convinced their rabbit "can't be bonded"
I lost my rabbit this morning due to my husky inducing her to have a fear induced heart attack. My dad told me to move on quickly so that’s what I’m telling them now. That I moved on in the span of hours. Like he told me to do. My husky had predator instincts that she could not control. And she thought that my rabbit was a stuffed animal, cause she had a false pregnancy and has been hoarding stuffies ever since we got her, and wanted to treat her as such. I’m very adamant that I moved on. Is that healthy?
I know this video is a year old. But I believe I was meant to stumble upon this video. Almost 2 weeks ago, we lost our baby bun Smudge. I adopted him almost 6 years ago as a rescue. He became my unofficial emotional support animal. He was my therapist when I was in my darkest moments. He was my child and my best friend. He became ill and I stayed by his side for 6 hours at the emergency vet until his heart beat for the last time. I feel lost without him and I still haven’t gotten used to him not running to me when I come home. His baby bun brother Jesse feels lost after losing his big brother. We spend as much time with him as possible so he knows he’s not alone. They were inseparable. We miss him so much. I’m so sorry for your loss of Ash. Maybe he and Smudge will meet up there one day. I hope you download videos again one day soon. I just subscribed.
i love this, i just got my first rabbit and i swore to my family i would only have one ....... i pick my second bun up tomorrow :0 so excited but i feel you and how you just kept being constant lol
i have a question if anyone can answer ! ☺️ I adopted a 1 1/2 yr old male bunny and i want to get it a companion. Would getting him a male baby bunny be easier to bond than for him to bond with a bunny his age ? or should i get a bunny his age ? thank you.
I have xtra large littter box open and I have another hooded litter box because my buns like the hooded one to use primarily as a digging around box. I agree it smells less with the open one. they don't pee in the hooded one for some reason, so I don't have to change it often. Being a pet owner is about giving your pet what THEY need, not the other way around. Accept them for their natural instincts, because you cannot change them. Less stress for a happy bun.
I clean my rabbit twice a day, she has hay in her hatch, she doesnt even sleep in there over night, she has the whole lounge to run a about still doesnt like being picked up scratches me. I give her hay, vegetables and little pallets, clean water every day, fresh flowers 1 head a day. What a lucky girl.
I lost Lili, my beloved bun on 18th February, 2024, and that left us with her sister Coco. We grieved and took some time before getting fluffy. Yesterday, Coco passed... A predator got In and... She chased him away but died from the stress. I miss them so much, what I wouldn't do to see my beautiful girls one more time and say a proper goodbye 😭
there are rabbits that are not able to bond with other rabbits due to their situation, for example rabbits that are rescues from backyard conditions where they were preyed upon before being rescued. Just want to share information that are situations that make it impossible, so the most important thing for those bunnies is to provide a safe and nurturing home.
I've have around 6 rabbits throughout childhood. I recently took in a mom, dad, and last surviving baby (pedigree Holland lops) that are very tame and litter trained. Keeping these buns indoor with proper enrichment, food, care, etc. They are already spoiled but deserve it 🥹🥰
Long shot since it’s an old video, but I just picked up a rabbit on the side of the road (happy Easter!). I already have a 3 year old I got the same exact way. Gonna try to bond them but the new one is like 3 months old and I don’t think can be neutered yet. They’re both male too, my 3 year old is neutered. Is it safe to start bonding them or should I separate them until the new guy gets neutered?
