Could somebody help me? In the video he is able to view the frame by frame while baking. I have 1.8.0 and can't figure out how to do that. Mine just bakes and I can't see anything until its done.
Hello. Can someone help me with blender octane? When I try to render anything it says : elapsed time : 00:00:00 -Rendering _waiting for image . I'm on an M2 Macbook air. I followed the same steps as the video.
When I run Octane Server, it never asks me to sign in. When I render in Blender, Blender acts like it's rendering. When Blender finishes rendering the render is black. I have M2
Im mostly here for the Blender / Flip Fluids content honestly... the strawberry and Carmel videos have more views than anything you have posted in the past year combined. Variety content is cool! but I think more of that content would be better

Yes, correct. It's both the rendering engine, and a licensing gateway - it connects to Otoy servers and you have to login. It verifies that you've activated the Octane X trial on your account. Then, it will be the conduit between Blender and your rendering hardware (the M1 Metal GPU). It might surprise you to know that the Blender addon itself doesn't do the rendering; it's partly to work around the limitation of Blender addons to be written in Python - it's not fast enough for heavy computation workloads. But mainly it's so that the Otoy developers only have to make 1 version of the rendering engine that ships separately, and then each 3D software connects to it from a "thin client".
Are there any presets? I am so tired of changing, baking, changing, baking forever to get what I need with these simulators. Its also a bit misleading to say that you can achieve these effects quickly, not if you dont know the hundreds of settings and interactions. Someone come up with a fluid sim with a lot of presets and I will buy it !
Hey, I'm having a problem... I'm trying to make a bottle pouring beer on a glass, but the fluid is going through the object, but when ''inverse'' is enabled, there is nothing happening on the simulation. I'm using blender 4.1, resolution of 128. When you put a simple object like a cube, it works fine, but with the glass it don't.

Hello there - A question please - I am using the base FF materials - the ocean material, but want to make it look much better, like sea water - can I use a textured material on FF fluid - do you have a tutorial on this please? The map tiling is all over the place when I have tried to do this... looks terrible LOL!

Great addon for large-medium scale water simulations. Too bad it has no stick to surface option for small scale viscous fluids, I guess for now we'll have to rely on things like houdini. :(
Great video. It's very jarring and easy to see the "chunks" of the live viewer that my send machine is working on. Makes it hard to work with clients for they dont always understand. Is there any way for nodes to help render the image in unison with the main workstation so these dark squares dont flood the live viewer?
Can please make tutorial on look at feature, I mean lot of motion designer use document highlight text highlight on article wo where ever is that particular null or a abject is place camera animation towards that point then we can make a quick change to null position and we are set
From the looks of creating certain simulation of fluid effects, the addon isn't free to use, it has some restriction. I'm just looking for something for 2.92

I want to "pour" water to glass model, but if I set the glass model to Obstacle with Inverse, and set the Domain to Object Volume, the simulation just wouldn't start, no water is coming out of the fluid
